If you hit the drug cartels with drones, you will do good for once.

If you hit the drug cartels with drones, you will do good for once

the only problem is they'll start slaughtering civilians , drug cartels are everywhere in Mexico especially in urban areas and thanks to the easy access to weapons from America one of the most heavily armed criminal organisations in the world. Im no fan of the cartels but Trump has to be very careful, making them terrorists and theyll most likely act like terrorists targeting Mexicans as well as Americans alike.

Imagine another Afghanistan right on Americas doorstep. over 60% of all drugs smuggled into the US come by roads , ports air, sea. imagine bombs as well as drugs being smuggled into the US. I pray Trump doesnt screw this up like so many other things

Donny breaking walking back a knee jerk reaction yet again. How will his supporters spin this?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

How will his supporters spin this?

"Great choice, fine leadership, 5-D Othello etc if only the Dems had done blah blah"

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Cut the head off the drug snake and two grow back. Another way is needed for dealing with the American drug addictions and demands.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump: Trump said in a radio interview just last week that he “absolutely” would move ahead with designating the drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

Reality: Delayed...

Kind'a like;

Trump: "We're ending America's endless wars and bringing our troops home"...

Reality: Looking to increase US forces in Middle East by 14,000...

https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-administration-considers-14-000-more-troops-for-mideast-11575494228

Or;

Trump: "We will build a wall - and Mexico will pay for it; mark my words, mark my words"...

Reality: After three years, 60 miles out of 2000 has been replaced...no new portions have been built.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2019/aug/30/donald-trumps-border-wall-how-much-has-really-been/

So, Trumpers, how does it fell being conned?

Geez if there wernt so many junkies in Merica there wouldn't be a problem....

Cut the head off the drug snake and two grow back.

Then you need to incinerate the snake so that you’re left with nothing but ashes.

Another way is needed for dealing with the American drug addictions and demands.

But in the meantime, aggressively seek out and destroy as many Cartel leaders as you can. Take out the leadership and you make a huge impact, go after the low level soldiers they’ll recruit new ones.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Geez if there wernt so many junkies in Merica there wouldn't be a problem...

Yes, if we didn’t have the 3rd largest populated country and located next to Mexico, maybe things would be different.

> But in the meantime, aggressively seek out and destroy as many Cartel leaders as you can. Take out the leadership and you make a huge impact, go after the low level soldiers they’ll recruit new ones.

Which we’ve been trying to do since. Nixon, to no avail.

Which the Israelis have been trying to do with Hamas, to no avail.

Violence is is clearly not the answer.

Yes, if we didn’t have the 3rd largest populated country and located next to Mexico, maybe things would be different.

Seriously? You think the US’ proximity to Mexico is why there are so many people in the US that do drugs? By that “logic,” Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico are chalk full of junkies.

been doing that in Afghanistan for the last 15+ yrs , Taliban are still there. Now try and do this with an organisation that has billions in resources thousands of arms and millions of civilians to hide behind, does anybody really think its going to make a difference except increase the body count. Expect a lot more Americans to die in America if Trump is set on a war with the cartels, the cartels are fractionated now Trump may just bring them all together then the shite will really hit the fan

4 ( +4 / -0 )

so its mexico's fault that America is full of junkies/ lol

That's been a massive expensive failure for more than 50 years, and costing more than $1 trillion of taxpayers money.

Yes, if we didn’t have the 3rd largest populated country and located next to Mexico, maybe things would be different.

Why are you blaming Mexico for what is an American problem. Drug addiction and demand. Basic American style capitalism. Supply and demand.

The drugs are coming from other South American countries.

The American drug problem including the 20 million opioid addicts from Big Pharma, needs a more intelligent approach and solution than sticking a gun down someone's throat.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

You knew this was just another of his 14,000+ lies as soon as the brainfart reached his lips.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Which we’ve been trying to do since. Nixon, to no avail.

No, because the Cartels of today didn’t exist for one and we never designated drug lords as terrorists, but in doing so, we can capture or kill the top leadership thus severely crippling the Cartels to the point, they don’t know when they go to sleep if it will be their last night and that physiological mind play really stresses people out.

Which the Israelis have been trying to do with Hamas, to no avail.

Most Mexicans are Christians, they love life and most don’t want to die for martyrdom and to come think of it, a lot of Muslims don’t want to either they just talk a lot of ....,but Saddam, OBL, el Baghdadi, none of these people wanted to die.

Violence is is clearly not the answer.

I beg to differ and that’s the problem. A bully attacks you and you do nothing, they will do it again and again, stand up for yourself, go on the offensive and it’s an entirely different story.

Seriously? You think the US’ proximity to Mexico is why there are so many people in the US that do drugs? By that “logic,” Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico are chalk full of junkies.

Yes, I do and if Germany were connected to the Mexico, they would be by far one of their largest customer base.

so its mexico's fault that America is full of junkies/ lol

Not entirely, but they definitely take half of the blame and dismissing that critical fact is more evidence as why liberals are soft on the drug issue overall, they like to blame the victims, but give the perpetrators a pass as usual, you have to separate the two and deal with each accordingly, no one is disputing what you’re saying, there is truth in that, but that doesn’t give Mexico the excuse or the right with impunity to kill, attack or cross our borders illegally or killing our citizens. El Chapo was extremely lucky he was taken in alive, Escobar wasn’t, which was equally as good. Keep the emotion out of the argument.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Then, with the current cartels, we’ve been doing it since Reagan’s first term. If not Reagan, Bush I, if not Bush I, Clinton. The point being that you’re utterly incorrect and violence is not the answer.

Most Mexicans are Christians, they love life and most don’t want to die for martyrdom and to come think of it, a lot of Muslims don’t want to either they just talk a lot of ....,but Saddam, OBL, el Baghdadi, none of these people wanted to die.

This is irrelevant to the fact that the Israelis have not been successful stamping out Palestine violence with Israeli violence.

I beg to differ and that’s the problem. A bully attacks you and you do nothing, they will do it again and again, stand up for yourself, go on the offensive and it’s an entirely different story.

False equivalency. Bully’s aren’t fueled by billions and billions of dollars like the cartels.

Yes, I do and if Germany were connected to the Mexico, they would be by far one of their largest customer base.

Germany is irrelevant to this conversation. I know it’s close to impossible for you, but let’s keep things relevant.

Not entirely, but they definitely take half of the blame

No market, no supply. I thought you knew about economics.

and dismissing that critical fact is more evidence as why liberals are soft on the drug issue overall, they like to blame the victims, but give the perpetrators a pass as usual,

Utterly incorrect.

You are clearly not interested in engaging in the conversation in good faith. Enjoy wallowing in it.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

that doesn’t give Mexico the excuse or the right with impunity to kill, attack or cross our borders illegally or killing our citizens.

Mexico doesn’t, some Mexicans do.

El Chapo was extremely lucky he was taken in alive,

Okay.

Escobar wasn’t, which was equally as good.

Escobar wasn’t Mexican and no where near the US border.

Keep the emotion out of the argument.

Haha. Follow your own advice.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Then, with the current cartels, we’ve been doing it since Reagan’s first term. If not Reagan, Bush I, if not Bush I, Clinton. The point being that you’re utterly incorrect and violence is not the answer.

No, I’m from California and we never went after them with the fervor and intensity like we have been with the Jihadists, but that’s about to hopefully change now.

This is irrelevant to the fact that the Israelis have not been successful stamping out Palestine violence with Israeli violence.

But they’ve been extremely successful at targeting and killing the leadership thus fracturing and severely crippling Hamas and that’s exactly what you want. Keep pounding away.

False equivalency. Bully’s aren’t fueled by billions and billions of dollars like the cartels.

No, but you can always take the bully out and for all the weaponry we have, it’s not even a tenth of what our military has or can even compete with our capabilities, it just needs to be unleashed and bypass the BS bureaucracy.

Germany is irrelevant to this conversation.

Not really, Europe has equally a huge drug problem, so it has nothing to do with the people in the US, it has everything to do with accessibility switch the two out and the result would be exactly the same. Germans are people as well, they just speak a different language

I know it’s close to impossible for you, but let’s keep things relevant.

Been doing that.,

Utterly incorrect.

It’s all correct, if you want to deal with the Cartels, the WH is correct, you need to engage them with violence and a clear determination for wanting to aggressively wipe them out. They laughed at Giuliani at the time, but if it weren’t for him, the 5 families would still be wreaking havoc in NYC and he took them on aggressively, that’s how you do it.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

No, I’m from California

So am I, but that’s irrelevant to this conversation.

and we never went after them with the fervor and intensity like we have been with the Jihadists, but that’s about to hopefully change now.

Just as soon as Donny stops walking his promises back.

But they’ve been extremely successful at targeting and killing the leadership thus fracturing and severely crippling Hamas and that’s exactly what you want. Keep pounding away.

Is that why Hamas constantly sends rockets into Israel? Do a bit of research.

No, but you can always take the bully out and for all the weaponry we have, it’s not even a tenth of what our military has or can even compete with our capabilities, it just needs to be unleashed and bypass the BS bureaucracy.

This is irrelevant to trying to equate a bully with the cartels being incorrect.

Not really, Europe has equally a huge drug problem, so it has nothing to do with the people in the US, it has everything to do with accessibility switch the two out and the result would be exactly the same.

Where do the Germans get their coke?

Germans are people as well, they just speak a different language

Really?! Thanks for that gem.

It’s all correct, if you want to deal with the Cartels, the WH is correct, you need to engage them with violence and a clear determination for wanting to aggressively wipe them out.

It hasn’t worked yet and won’t work.

They laughed at Giuliani at the time, but if it weren’t for him, the 5 families would still be wreaking havoc in NYC and he took them on aggressively, that’s how you do it.

In the courts. Guiliani didn’t go after the mob with drones and marines. You’re really grasping.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"However, at the request of a man who I like and respect, and has worked so well with us, President Andres Manuel @LopezObrador— we will temporarily hold off on this designation."

Wow. I never thought I'd hear Trump say something both sensitive and sensible.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Just as soon as Donny stops walking his promises back.

Doesn't seem like it. He seems to have disdain for people he doesn’t like, so in due time.

Is that why Hamas constantly sends rockets into Israel?

But the senior leadership is thinning out more and more, that’s great, so the less they have people wanting to take on Israel, the more it helps them and they can live in peace longer and if a new leader emerges, take him out as well. Israelis have more than enough weaponry hardware and manpower to deal with Terrorism

This is irrelevant to trying to equate a bully with the cartels being incorrect.

Not really, because you’re dealing with a bully and if you can’t reason with them, then the only other alternative is to stand your ground and strike them back. Now and more than ever it’s time.

Where do the Germans get their coke?

Coke is not the only drug of choice for the Germans and it depends, but a lot comes from the Albanians and other parts of Eastern Europe, if Germany were next to Mexico then they would go there and us it as their biggest supplier.

It hasn’t worked yet and won’t work.

Hasn't been tried yet, but if implemented and you take out the senior leadership aggressively, it would work and greatly cripple the Cartels. We just need to green light. El Chapo, OBL el Baghdadi, loved to have seen their faces when they got that knock. .

In the courts. Guiliani didn’t go after the mob with drones and marines.

He was responsible for their demise.

Armed with these new tools, future New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, then a federal prosecutor, masterminded the indictment of 11 Mafia leaders, including the heads of New York’s five dominant crime families, in February 1985. The case against them relied on bugs planted in strategic locations–such as the dashboard of a Jaguar owned by Lucchese family chief Anthony “Tony Ducks” Corallo–over the course of a four-year investigation. Eight of the original defendants stood trial together and were convicted in November 1986.

So getting aggressive works, you just need the initiative and before Giuliani, the previous leaderships just did what most liberals always do, make excuses or as you put it, grasping.

People do don't know about drugs, where they are growth, converted into drugs, and smuggled across borders shouldn't be making such long posts like they know both the problems and the solutions.

All of the world's cocaine comes from just three South American countries. Colombia, Bolivia and Peru. The poppy plants for opium from just heroin is manufactured from mostly comes from Afghanistan and some parts of North Pakistan.

All cocaine smuggled into Europe starts from Brazil every time. Brazilians are big consumers of cocaine.

The issue isn't Hamas or what happens in Germany. The drug demand is American and those drugs are getting into America from Mexico and other South American countries. Not all the drugs are via the Mexican drug cartels. There are many others.

The drugs go north and some of the drug dollar is used to buy illegal guns which are then smuggled south.

The heroin does not enter America from Mexico. The Chinese gangs have always been the biggest heroin smugglers and dealers. Bigger than the Italian Mafia. The Chinese have been doing it for more than 50 years. You rarely heard about them.

Heroin use has once again increased but it's been cut with other deadly drugs and chemicals which kills the addicts quicker than the heroin.

I have worked with drug addicts for 20 years.

The only answer is to legalise all drugs and take control of the supply chains.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Zichi: Exactly. Your post, I’m afraid, will fly straight over some people’s heads. We’ll get some but liberals or I’m from California responses instead of good faith engagement in the convo.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

People do don't know about drugs, where they are growth, converted into drugs, and smuggled across borders shouldn't be making such long posts like they know both the problems and the solutions.

You don’t know what I know.

All cocaine smuggled into Europe starts from Brazil every time. Brazilians are big consumers of cocaine.

I get it, but Germans are still using it in large numbers as Americans are both part of the human race.

The issue isn't Hamas or what happens in Germany.

In a sense it is when you factor in how aggressive Israel has been when it comes to terrorism and have done a fantastic job at eradicating some of the most dangerous and senior leadership of Hamas, we could and should do the same.

I have worked with drug addicts for 20 years.

I went to school with many of them.

The only answer is to legalise all drugs and take control of the supply chains.

I disagree. I say, take out and wipeout the leadership of these Cartels, keep them on the run and to come up with privatize programs to deal with the addiction crisis and to educate and to give a better understanding of the downfalls of drug use.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Glad to see Trump cooperating with the Mexican president.

And guaranteed if he had refused his request and gone ahead and listed Mexican cartels as terrorist groups, all the anti-Trumpers would be criticizing him for that.
