I wonder what he’ll say. I don’t see a gag order working.

He probably got obstruction of justice, Racketeering and a side of tax fraud,it hard to get 30 counts for a booty call

Trump will hold the event at his Mar-a-Lago club after returning from Manhattan, where he is expected to voluntarily turn himself in. He is expected to be joined in Florida by supporters as he tries to project an image of strength and defiance and turn the charges into a political asset to boost his 2024 presidential campaign.

Even with casual perusal of international media, I have noticed a boost in the media profile of Trump since the announcement of his indictment.

That will take place in the same Manhattan courtroom where his company was tried and convicted of tax fraud in December

Trump should have been prosecuted and his fraudulent businesses shut down in the 80's. He has just metastasized. It should have never reached this point.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Trump has been even more entertaining since he lost office. I will have popcorn on standby for Tuesday.

Nice to know one of the charges is for a felony, so definitely quite a lot at stake for Trump - he'll be fighting the charges hard.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Trump has several legal waves headed his way. This one he's all upset about is the smallest among them. If he's angry now at the Manhattan DA, imagine how angry Trump is going to feel when the State of Georgia tries him for attempting to manipulate vote tallies in his favor?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

This is the most frivolous of charges, to me, on Trump. He pays hush money for sexual affairs and it's not exactly something great for a candidate to do, but not that big a deal in the big picture. I do think the NY DA has an agenda.

But, it's also obvious Trump has done a lot of bad things and will be indicted for other things in other parts of the country, far more egregious, so opening the flood gates on his criminal behavior is good.

The NY prostitute case feels like something akin to Capone not getting arrested for murdering people nor illegal bootlegging, but was sent to prison for his lack of paying taxes, a much lesser crime, but required to catch a bad guy.

And Trump is a very bad guy, who among other things, supported an insurrection against the USA, and that should put him in jail for the rest of his life, as a president who promoted treason.

Poll numbers up, lead expanding, fundraising on fire.

bunch of 1-3% of the vote type losers trying jump in the race now.

media all Trump all day. Cant wait to hear what he has to say Wednesday morning.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Poll numbers up, lead expanding, fundraising on fire.

Why does he need to ask his supporters to pay his legal fees? I thought he was rich.

media all Trump all day.

Of course, best show in town. How much of that media is positive and how much is ridicule?

Cant wait to hear what he has to say Wednesday morning.

Me neither.

Extrajudicial comments could get him in hot water again. NY has a possible 30 day jail sentence for such. Merchan has had multiple dealings with 45 before and won’t take any nonsense. I doubt the tweets with baseball bats will be happening again.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Poll numbers up, lead expanding, fundraising on fire.

A large part of the Trump cult will defend their Lord no matter what he does or what the facts say. Trump gets to break the law because . . . libs, Dems, the left, woke culture, etc. That is the main defense. Even before knowing what the indictment says.

Unlike Gym Jordan and other locker room defenders of brazen wrongdoing, I’m willing to wait to see the indictment before discrediting a prosecutor.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

where he will fingerprinted and have a mug shot taken

(smiling)

Bob Fosse: I wonder what he’ll say.

"Give me money."

sunfunbun: He pays hush money for sexual affairs and it's not exactly something great for a candidate to do, but not that big a deal in the big picture.

It's not illegal to cheat on your wife and then pay the other party into silence. But if you falsify business records when doing it, it's fraud. That's most likely what the charges will be about.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Blacklabel: Cant wait to hear what he has to say Wednesday morning.

He's going to ask for your momey so he doesn't have to use his. I recommend you give it to him.

Trump was indicted Thursday by a grand jury in the case involving hush money paid during the 2016 presidential campaign to a porn actor who alleges Trump had an extramarital sexual encounter with her years earlier.

Thats a tiny sliver, but salacious fodder for news sites.

The bulk of the indictments are for financial crimes, insurance fraud, tax fraud.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Comical to see Trump’s low information supporters showing up outside Mar a Lago defending a man they believe is working for them.

He’s not. He never has. Trump works for himself. He’s dragged the entire country through the mud for the sake of himself alone. And his supporters have enabled it all.

I guess that’s not really comical.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Not many turned up last time including his daughter Ivanka.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

That's most likely what the charges will be about.

Then it’s a low level misdemeanor past the statute of limitations and we move on.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

The bulk of the indictments are for financial crimes, insurance fraud, tax fraud.

Are there? You have seen the supposedly sealed indictment?

so it’s lets attack Trump based on speculation of what’s in the indictment.

but cant criticize that DA cause we don’t know what’s in the indictment.

yep, that’s about par for the course here.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Former President Donald Trump will deliver remarks Tuesday night in Florida after his scheduled arrangement in New York on charges related to hush money payments, his campaign announced Sunday.

"Humma....humma....humma...witch hunt....send me money!

"Humma....humma....humma...rigged.....send me money!

"Humma....humma...humma...Hunter....send me money!

And of course they will....proving once again that there is "one born every minute"....

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Look forward to show. Get some popcorn and drinks and enjoy the show. Who needs netflex, when you have the best show in the world?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump has been even more entertaining since he lost office.

The media and the Dems as well.

I will have popcorn on standby for Tuesday.

Same here.

Nice to know one of the charges is for a felony, so definitely quite a lot at stake for Trump - he'll be fighting the charges hard.

I don't think he will need to fight hard, if you go by the Constitution (not sure if the left nowadays even know what that is) trying to take a misdemeanor and up it to a felony as in this case was never done, now that's hilarious, but yeah, go ahead Bragg go after a misdemeanor while crime still surges in your state. I'm sure that Ron is thankful.

In the words of conservative commentator Jack Schafer:

"When elections go against [Trump], he bashed the election as corrupt. When the courts defied him, he torched the judges as “so-called” or having “an agenda” or making political judgments rather than judicial ones or of “disgracing the judiciary.” In 2020, he demanded, with little rationale, that Supreme Court Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg recuse themselves from any case involving him. In Trump’s hermetically sealed world, the only evidence needed to declare corruption or banana republichood was that a ruling had gone against him."

"If there is anything remotely 'third world' about the United States, the malicious odor of Donald Trump cannot be distant from the stink. The unfounded slurs Trump flings at the courts and the election processes are the sort of acts that “third-world dictators” commit. Trump isn’t the victim of third-worldism, he’s the cause."

Amen

Sorry. Wrong spelling. Jack Shafer.

Comical to see Trump’s low information supporters showing up outside Mar a Lago defending a man they believe is working for them.

Low information? You confusing them with Biden voters again???

He’s not. He never has. Trump works for himself.

More reason to like the guy. Seven years and the left tried to get him on a misdemeanor, too funny!

He’s dragged the entire country through the mud

No, the Democrats did that, with the help of big tech and our law enforcement agencies, not to mention they are making this guy stronger and more popular, maybe we should in a way say thanks to Bragg, even Barr said that this just helps Trump in the biggest way.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

if you go by the Constitution (not sure if the left nowadays even know what that is) trying to take a misdemeanor and up it to a felony as in this case was never done, now that's hilarious, but yeah, go ahead Bragg go after a misdemeanor while crime still surges in your state.

You mean it's against the Constitution to indict someone for both a misdemeanor and a felony at the same time, while other crimes are being committed in the state?

Interesting theory. Where in the Constitution does it mention such a scenario?

It can't be much fun to be a conservative and get associated with Donald Trump all the time.

https://nypost.com/2023/01/19/more-new-yorkers-moved-to-florida-in-2022-than-any-year-in-history/

New Yorkers are moving to Florida because they are tired of being indicted by Alvin Bragg and his woke gang of prosecutors.

That's why Donald Trump doesn't own any property in New York anymore.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

When your own legal team is fighting more among themselves than against the prosecutor....you might have a lawyer problem...

Donald Trump hasn't surrendered to authorities yet. But his lawyers are already fighting — with themselves.

Days after the former president’s indictment at the hands of Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, some of Trump’s lawyers are taking aim at Joe Tacopina, his co-lead defense attorney in the Bragg case.

A source familiar with the matter and another person close to Trump tell Rolling Stone that a number of Trump’s other current lawyers have privately described Tacopina as “dumb” and a “loudmouth.”

https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/joe-tacopina-lawyer-donald-trump-alvin-bragg-12347ally07943/

Well, if he is "dumb" and a "loudmouth", he's certainly mimicking his client well...

Welcome to MAGA-world...ROFL..

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Low information? You confusing them with Biden voters again???

Biden voters don't believe nonsense conspiracy theories such as that the 2020 election was rigged, that JFK Jr is still alive, or that Ray Epps was behind the Jan. 6 insurrection.

--Trump works for himself.

More reason to like the guy.

Do you believe that a president's main obligation is to himself rather than to the American people and the Constitution? Trump took an oath of loyalty to the Constitution, and he broke it.

He's a selfish and destructive oaf. Nothing to like about that.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

You mean it's against the Constitution

What the Dems have done and are doing. It absolutely is.

to indict someone for both a misdemeanor and a felony at the same time,

Dershowitz and Turley were almost laughing, 3 other known prosecutors wouldn't touch it and Bragg at first wasn't going to touch it either, but Soros probably begged him and gave him some more ching to get it done.

Interesting theory. Where in the Constitution does it mention such a scenario?

That's up to the Dems to figure out and how they try and interpret it as they go along.

New Yorkers are moving to Florida because they are tired of being indicted by Alvin Bragg and his woke gang of prosecutors.

That would be a lot of liberals running and escaping the thugs that are destroying the city and having a DA that could give a crap for these people.

That's why Donald Trump doesn't own any property in New York anymore.

Why on Earth would anyone with good sense??

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

In other words you agree.

With the Dems analogy, yes.

It can't be much fun to be a conservative and get associated with Donald Trump all the time.

If you are a swamp rat establishment political hack, then it is not.

More bickering over this.

I hope our Trump supporters have donated. Actions speak louder than words.

"Trump works for himself."

More reason to like the guy.

Sorry, what do you think that expression means?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

He’s dragged the entire country through the mud

No, the Democrats did that, with the help of big tech and our law enforcement agencies,

Big tech is bad, unless it is opposing wokeness or unbanning Donald Trump.

Law enforcement agencies are bad, unless they are being defunded or fighting BLM/ANTIFA protesters.

Trump is famous for his off the cuff word salad, but when did the right all start to ape his rhetoric?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I thought it was good that Trump had been voted out after seeing the Jan 6 debacle, but seeing this debacle makes me think it would be good for him to be voted in again.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Sorry, what do you think that expression means?

Rhetorical question?

Law enforcement agencies are bad, unless they are being defunded or fighting BLM/ANTIFA protesters.

Why wouldn't you want to fight these crazy fascists? The cops should be fighting them and locking them up if they commit crimes.

Trump is famous for his off the cuff word salad,

That's why we love the guy.

but when did the right all start to ape his rhetoric?

The left is trying to copy the guy right now, but it ain't having the same resonating effect and Biden whispering is not helping.

"In other words you agree."

With the Dems analogy, yes.

That was your own analogy. Wasn't it? How can you agree with something you wrote yourself? You don't agree that Trump has become more entertaining since he left office?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

--You mean it's against the Constitution

What the Dems have done and are doing. It absolutely is.

Well, explain it then.

--Where in the Constitution does it mention such a scenario?

That's up to the Dems to figure out and how they try and interpret it as they go along.

No, it's up to you to figure out. You made the claim that this indictment is a violation of the Constitution. Go for it.

Soros probably begged him and gave him some more ching to get it done.

Sure. Get Gym Jordan on the case. He specializes in baseless conspiracy theories.

--that's why Donald Trump doesn't own any property in New York anymore.

Why on Earth would anyone with good sense??

I was being facetious. Donald Trump still owns property in NYC. I guess according to your opinion, he doesn't have good sense.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

You mean it's against the Constitution

What the Dems have done and are doing. It absolutely is.

How? Using your in depth knowledge of the constitution and legal matters I’m sure you could give some details about that.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

That was your own analogy. Wasn't it?

No.

How can you agree with something you wrote yourself?

I just go by what I see, even Jeb Bush sees it as a political witch hunt and he doesn't even like the guy.

You don't agree that Trump has become more entertaining since he left office?

No, I think nothing has changed, but I do find the left hilariously amusing, to say the least.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Trump people!! Are you giving money to the Trump defense fund? Or are you just a bunch of Hillary talkers. Money talks and what walks? Pay money to Trump and don't be a Hillary talker!! This is not about saving America, rather it's about saving Trump. Remember that Trump is more important than America. It's only about Trump. It's only always been about Trump and it will only be about Trump. Give to Trump!!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump's message is easy to understand.

"Donate, donate, donate!"

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Like many others, I'm sick of reading and hearing about Trump but this "news" article made me laugh:

Stormy Daniels, the porn star at the centre of Donald Trump’s historic indictment, has mocked him by saying she has no fears over facing him in court as nothing could be “scarier” than seeing the ex-US president naked.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

or that Ray Epps was behind the Jan. 6 insurrection.

oh but he was.

he lied under oath, that used to be a "thing" when other people did it.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Blacklabel

or that Ray Epps was behind the Jan. 6 insurrection.

> oh but he was.

> he lied under oath, that used to be a "thing" when other people did it.

You can provide proof of that?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

take the money anyway

So? It's not a crime. Trump paying off a hooker is not a crime. Writing off that payment as a legal expense is tax fraud. Look at the legal facts instead of the political drama. Trump was stupid. He should have called the FBI and had Stormy arrested back in 2016, but Trump decided to do it the illegal Trump way and that's a crime. Remember that Bragg brought on over 100 cases similar and Trump is nothing special to Bragg except for one more piece of meat to hold accountable.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

she took the money so...

So what? I would take the money too. Trump was stupid to not call the FBI instead. On top of that he wrote off as a tax/legal expense. He did two stupid things. It's not about the payoff. It's about the illegal writoff. Legal facts. Can't argue against them.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

You can provide proof of that?

of course.

he was seen on video still on site at the Capitol 30 minutes after he testified that he sent a text and supposedly immediately left.

lied under oath.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

After Trump delivers his grift of the night speech, I can't wait to see the line of Repub hustlers who will follow shedding fake tears for their "had an affair with a porn star while wife was home with baby" hero...

Like good 'ole Lyin' Lindsey...."Please, please send money to this man...he's a good man....he's a God-fearing Christian man...he sleeps with porn stars and likes to have dinner with Neo Nazis and anti-Semites man....wait, lets cut that last one...

"Trump deserves your money...sniff, sniff....and by the way so do I...."

the truth is the truth.

Which will be found out if this even makes it to trial in the first place.

The liberal damage, as always, is simply in the accusation and the harassment and the false narrative.

If this one doesnt "work out" they will just pretend it never happened and move to the next one.

this will continue until the American people care enough to stop it.

That's most likely what the charges will be about.

Then it’s a low level misdemeanor past the statute of limitations and we move on.

It is not past the statute of limitations, it occurred in 2016. But according to NY state law if the defendant is not resident in that state for the majority of the time the crime remains on the books. And we know Trump was not in NY much during his presidency, he was in Washington or playing golf or visiting places around the world. He probably went there a handful of times, so the crime is still on their books.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

It is not past the statute of limitations....

There you go. Legal fact. Something Tucker never talks about. Trump should have just made the payoff to the hooker but NOT write it off. Now, was there some pitch about doubling your money every week. Sounds like something beyond the capabilities of Warren Buffett.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

so the crime is still on their books.

The misdemeanor? Ok, this should be interesting.
