political fight that he frames as “US vs THEM.”

The most divisive president in history. The 'us' he wants to unite is primarily those from his majority demographic. He's doing what he can to further mob them up while continuing to alienate the roughly 100,000,000 'others' he often portrays as 'enemies'.

So many of Trump’s followers parrot his 'us vs. them' in their attempts to further bifurcate. Simple-minded people blindly follow leaders who say beliefs are binary, spout variations on the 'There's two kinds of people in the world' approach to viewing existence.

How have cults of personality ever worked out for the general population?

It's not surprising Trump's base of support includes those from America's 900+ white supremacist/national socialist organizations like the Boogaloo Bois, 3%ers, Proud Boys, Volksfront, National Socialist Movement, Identity Europa, etc. etc., while getting 'foreign' support from authoritarian states.

Trump promised to undermine the republic. That might be the only thing he’s been successful at.

"They hate me. They hate you. They hate rallies and it’s all because they hate the idea of MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said in a recent fundraising email.

Why would any American not want their country to be great? Another non-sensical statement aimed at dividing people and setting them against each other. Just appalling....

Yes, a lot of people hate Trump. And for good reason.

Let’s ALL unite and vote him out. This man is destructive to the traditions of both liberalism and conservatism in America, which in the past were two complementary sides of the same coin.

The most divisive president in history.

I disagree, the last President was the most divisive President ever, he was elected in part to heal the division of the country after 8 years of war which was politically tearing the country apart. That unity never happened.

The 'us' he wants to unite is primarily those from his majority demographic.

The last President united CA. and NY. primarily, those were the majority and the largest demographics that supported him.

He's doing what he can to further mob them up while continuing to alienate the roughly 100,000,000 'others' he often portrays as 'enemies'.

But it's ok when the Washington swamp tries to alienate half of the country that hates it?

So many of Trump’s followers parrot his 'us vs. them' in their attempts to further bifurcate. Simple-minded people blindly follow leaders who say beliefs are binary, spout variations on the 'There's two kinds of people in the world' approach to viewing existence.

Don't give me that, liberals from day one have always taken the "resistance" position and for these people, they hate this President more than they love this country and if that means undermining it by any means, they will do it, regardless if they hurt people or not.

How have cults of personality ever worked out for the general population?

The last 8 years proved it didn't.

It's not surprising Trump's base of support includes those from America's 900+ white supremacist/national socialist organizations like the Boogaloo Bois, 3%ers, Proud Boys, Volksfront, National Socialist Movement, Identity Europa, etc. etc., while getting 'foreign' support from authoritarian states.

Don't forget conservative blacks, minorities, Wall st., Evangelicals, law enforcement, small business owners, investors, Vets, 2nd amendment supporters....

Trump promised to undermine the republic. That might be the only thing he’s been successful at.

The Democrats undermined the Republic by waging a secret underground campaign to undo a duly elected President.

Yes, a lot of people hate Trump. And for good reason.

I lot of people love Trump for good reasons.

Let’s ALL unite and vote him out.

Let's give him 4 more years.

This man is destructive to the traditions of both liberalism and conservatism in America, which in the past were two complementary sides of the same coin.

The Democrat party with their lives have completely destroyed and made a mockery of the nation, our institutions with their hatred and radical opposition to our culture good and bad, weaponized our intelligence agencies and subverting our constitution in order to unfairy undermine our political process to oust this President, those people should never have power, especially when they use race as a wedge to divide the entire nation.

Trump went so far as to complain in a Wall Street Journal interview this week that some Americans wore facial coverings not as a preventive measure but as a way to signal disapproval of him.

This very clearly shows but only his loose grip on reality but his complete narcissism.

There is a relatively cheap way to stop the spread of three virus yet he has to make everything all about him. What a pathetic man he is.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Arizona, Florida, California, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas all reported record-high single-day increases in coronavirus cases

Red states are now becoming the hotspots of the virus. He should do the honourable thing and cancel his rally. Killing off his own supporters doesn't look good.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Anyone who honestly decides whether to try to avoid contracting and spreading a virulent and sometimes fatal disease on the basis of their position on the political spectrum is a foo, regardless of who they're voting for. Using the "they-hate-me!" card when people raise warning flags about a political rally is ridiculous, and framing mask-wearing as an act of political allegiance is both harmful and distressing.

This very clearly shows but only his loose grip on reality but his complete narcissism.

Can you prove he's not wrong?

There is a relatively cheap way to stop the spread of three virus yet he has to make everything all about him. What a pathetic man he is.

We felt the same about the protesters and thugs that destroyed the country, but liberals were completely silent on that, in fact they encouraged it, so the virus is selective, if liberals and anarchists protest it's ok and recommended, if conservatives want to attend a campaign...Nope, can't do it! Lol

Red states are now becoming the hotspots of the virus.

If that's the case, then globally and all the blue States should see increasing spikes, deaths and hospitalizations very soon.

He should do the honourable thing and cancel his rally. Killing off his own supporters doesn't look good.

We wanted the protesters to do the same, but they wouldn't listen either.

Already one of America's dumbest presidents, perhaps the dumbest one to ever occupy the Oval Office. What will Americans read and think about Trump 100 or 200 years from now? They'll be telling their children: See? Anybody can be president!

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Trump finished his sentence too early. 'They hate me....[because I am an incompetent, corrupt, liar]'. Big difference!

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Going to be some pretty interesting debates I can see Trump walking off like a little kid Biden will press his buttons pretty hard.

That feeling goes both ways.

Trump's rallies have all the same qualities as Nazi's rallies of the 1930's. The pageantry, the raised arms, the hate....

No different than BLM raising their fists, even their makeshift flag has a balled up fist on it. Either you submit and take a knee or we destroy your business and beat you into submission as well. we will get you fired and we will destroy your livelihood and there is nothing you can do about it. Textbook fascism right there.

Why would any American not want their country to be great?

A shockingly high number of Americans not only think America has never been great but that it never can be. They believe America has racism in its DNA and therefore cannot be salvaged - neglecting to notice that all nations and people’s suffer from the same original sin.

The logical conclusion from this belief that America is irredeemable is that the country must be deconstructed. That is what you are seeing now. The fact that black citizens lag in numerous social indicators is proof to the America hating Left that America is evil. Oddly the fact that Asians exceed Whites in numerous social categories is not proof enough for them that America is not at all infused by white supremacy. The fact that there are systemic laws that discriminate in favor of blacks and that 600,000 white people died to end slavery is not penance enough.

The haters insist that without justice there cannot be peace. Yet their solution to injustice is to inflict injustices of their own. It’s a never ending fatwa against the Western concept of justice. No unity can come from the Left’s disassembly of American values and Constitutional foundations.

If only the Dems had an actual candidate they might have a chance.

Its basically elect our guy, trusting that we will replace him with his VP within the first year.

Yet they dont have any confidence to just let the VP choice face the voters herself.

Trump turns virus conversation into 'US vs THEM' debate

Of course - it's the limited, binary, two-dimensional world he and his supporters live in. You see it reflected here everyday with posts by his supporters having at least one "Lib" in it.

But then reality intrudes and upsets their simplistic view of the world. John Bolton, a Repub conservative icon, says Trump is "unfit for office". The conservatives on the Supreme Court vote with the Progressives on DACA, Ann Coulter says Trump should be arrested for employing illegals. These all make their brains lock.

"They hate me. They hate you. They hate rallies and it’s all because they hate the idea of MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said in a recent fundraising email.

"Hate" being the operative word here - he repeats it four times just to make sure everyone got it. Nothing but hate speech.

Trump went so far as to complain in a Wall Street Journal interview this week that some Americans wore facial coverings not as a preventive measure but as a way to signal disapproval of him.

Trump has made some absolutely imbecile-like claims, but this may top them all...

People who want to protect themselves, their families, their co-workers, are wearing masks just to spite him. What a Moron...

Tulsa County, where Trump will hold his rally at a 19,000-seat arena, has emerged as the state’s leading COVID-19 hot spot. The state recorded 352 more cases on Friday, its second highest daily toll during the pandemic.

Trump would hold a rally at the epicenter of Chernobyl to feed is child-like insecurity....of course, his supporters would have to sign a waiver first saying they couldn't sue him for their radiation poisoning...

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Yawn. I don't care what he says. It's all a sideshow.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

What a surprise that the least intelligent president is also the most divisive.

Racists are not smart.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

“The frame of us-versus-them -- the other -- has been a consummate rhetorical tool for the president throughout his time in office and before as a candidate,” Borick said. He cited earlier Trump attacks against people living in the country illegally and against “American carnage” in U.S. cities as examples of divisive language from the presidential bully pulpit. “It’s the tried-and-true device that he repeatedly goes back to.”

The Democrats, with the aid of their pet news outlets such as CNN, began their us-versus-them political shtick when they began their "resist" ploy before Trump was even sworn in. Democrats repeatedly attacked Trump, and then whine when Trump counter-punches his attackers. How dare Trump defend himself from the mindless Democrat, and news media, attacks. The U.S. has been in a us-versus-them mode ever since the Democrats declared one over three years ago.

They have the same rights as anybody else to peacefully assemble ... under our Constitution.”

Nobody doubts that the stupids have as much rights as the rest of the population.

But they should not have the rights to put others lives at risk.

Now do the riots and marches.

But they should not have the rights to put others lives at risk.

ulysses - Nobody doubts that the stupids have as much rights as the rest of the population.

But they should not have the rights to put others lives at risk.

It appears that the stupids/rioters/protestors have been given permission to put the lives of others at risk. And the Covid-19 trackers are not even allowed to ask the infected, and possibly infected, if they have attended any of the riots and protests.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

konjo4u - Science against the virus.

Since the rest of the world finally discovered that China had allowed a deadly virus to escape it's borders, how much of the information we were given by the so-called science/medical experts has proven to be false, misleading, or just plain wrong? The actions of the WHO certainly did not help establish a trust in the science/medical experts.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

It appears that the stupids/rioters/protestors have been given permission to put the lives of others at risk.

the stupids have been given permission to hold a campaign rally and have even had curfew relaxed.....

at a time Tulsa is experiencing higher number of new cases.

Not very smart, even for the stupids.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Now do the riots and marches.

Are the klansmen coming to the rally??

I am sure dear leader would love ‘ the very fine people’

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Science against the virus. Which side is your president on?

He chooses the racists!!!

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Of course - it's the limited, binary, two-dimensional world he and his supporters live in. You see it reflected here everyday with posts by his supporters having at least one "Lib" in it.

You know lincolnman I was checking you on having a Biden lapse in reasoning, dementia moment, but here I am, just now getting it figured out. Maybe Im having a Biden moment.

Whats my epiphany moment? Well not only did the virus take a break during the protest, so did the law!

Its like once in a century? millennia? event, like one of those celestial phenomena that come around every thousand years or so.

In alternate realities, lincolnman, arson, larceny, assault, homicides, etc are felonies, prosecute-able with high conviction rates.

Well not now! we are in new Dem logic realities, Mr. lincoln.

The law AND the virus took a break. Talking about binary...in boolean math, an AND condition means both events must be true to get a true....and both are true! amazing!

Both the law and the virus, at the same time, just took a break!

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Both the law and the virus, at the same time, just took a break!

Not in Tulsa...

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2020/06/19/oklahoma-coronavirus-covid-19-cases-rise-ahead-trump-tulsa-rally/3220736001/

So, why is he putting his supporters in danger?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Well define danger for us Lincolnman. any buildings burning? any people knocked out? Glass shattered, little bit of in and out shopping..?

See my problem is my logic. Ive got to change it, whats danger, whats legal, whats acceptable, I think I learned the wrong stuff growing up..

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

It appears that the stupids/rioters/protestors have been given permission to put the lives of others at risk.

Exactly!

And the Covid-19 trackers are not even allowed to ask the infected, and possibly infected, if they have attended any of the riots and protests.

So basically, it boils down to this, honor a man who was unjustly murdered who was himself a criminal, riot, loot and destroy public and private property and cause millions in damage in the name of injustice?

at a time Tulsa is experiencing higher number of new cases.

That means all the rioters, looters and protesters numbers in those blue states should rise as well. Get the gurneys ready.

Not very smart, even for the stupids.

I said the same thing two weeks ago when this destruction started, but did people listen? Nooooo....

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

I mean its profound dude, the hypocrisy

For protesting, the law and the virus SHALL take a break

Now that Trump is holding rallies, the law and the virus suddenly.....apply?

I cant keep up with this anymore....lol

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Wow, Trump is going to have a coronary when he sees these new Fox News polls....

Biden up double digits over Trump....50% to 38%...

68% of Repubs have favorable view of those who wear masks...

Only 23% of all voters think its a good idea to have a rally...59% think its a bad idea...

Those will a favorable view on handling the virus; Dr Fauci: 72%, Trump: 44%...

Condition of economy; Good: 28%, Poor: 71%...

Opinion of Obamacare: Favorable: 56%, Unfavorable: 38%...

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-voters-say-yes-to-face-masks-no-to-rallies

Those are damning...no wonder Trump-world is melting down...

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Trump was the answer to this incoherent bizarre Dem logic. The problem with Trump, and I knew this would be his weakness, is he is not a politician, like Biden, Bush, Obama etc.

Politicians are skilled in statecraft..i.e. white lies, manipulations etc. Trump is sloppy, transparent. I dont agree with all he does, but Im still at where I was at 4 years ago. The transparency is refreshing, I like it.

How could I ever vote Dem, when for the last 3 months its been nothing but a (fill with your adjective choice) show?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

With more than 1 million ticket requests for tomorrow's peaceful protest in Tulsa, time to get Biden out of his basement bunker and meet with his throngs of confederate flag-waving "fine people".

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Yes, "Them" are the stale group (SG) Americans who hate authorities and in cahoots with criminals, drug lords and dependency from democrats. Remember the Republicans with US union forces ended slavery in America after civil war.  US became the bastion of human rights protecting America and allies from the scourge of communism.  After communism fell and SG used the 1st amendment to blame everything to authorities except themselves.  Then SG tolerated lawlessness, looting, thievery, vandalism and burning property of hard working Americans. Are they in cahoots with criminals, gangs, mafia, drug lords and the so called democrats to win the elections to perpetuate dependency, criminal activity and addiction?  If they cannot follow Candace Owens, just follow Jews or Asian-American success effort to improve their lives.  If there is discrimination, sue the offender just like any other American.  Violence cannot correct any kind of discrimination.
