Trump just went full mentally-challenged.

Ah, just love how the MSM stick in their little lies.

It's not lies. He's losing support, not gaining. If you want to criticize the MSM, criticize the lack of coverage on Clinton's Wikileaks. The MSM are right to cover Trump's crash-and-burn, but the leaked emails are also newsworthy.

They come at you from all sides. They don’t know how to win — I will teach them!

Perhaps they need a good ... talking to, if you don't mind my saying so. Perhaps a bit more.

Squabbling over the carcass of the Republican Party commences.

I also wouldn’t want to be held responsible for everything I said 11 years ago,” Ellis said

I wouldn't hold her responsible for everything she said 11 years ago, because she was 19. Trump was 59.

"Trump said in a tweet that brought new concern — near panic in some cases — to a party trying to stave off an all-out civil war before Nov. 8."

I think "panic" sums it up nicely. The turn-coats have become turn-coats once again, turning their backs on Trump ONLY to save their careers, while also secretly fearing what that will mean in the miracle of him winning. Trump's back to insulting those he insulted in the primaries, then changed on when he said he'll be the "unifier of the Republican party".

It's quite hilarious to watch -- and they brought it ALL on themselves. A loss of historic proportions is right; that's going to be the absolute best part, along with watching the GOP fight over the corpse that is their party.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Which parts don't you by? When he bragged about grabbing women by the pu***? Or when he called Mexicans rapists? Or calling war heroes losers?

I keep seeing and hearing these things come directly from Trump's mouth. Should I be angry that the MSM has failed me?

Ryan seems so ineffectual when compared to Trump and not much of an asset......

Totally agree. The problem is that Trump is a sinking ship, so comparing Ryan to Trump is like comparing the Lusitania to the Titanic. For a party that prefers "authoritarians" (as the GOP governor of Maine pointed out today), Ryan is a Milquetoast, despite all of those photos he's posted of himself working out in the gym.

Cruz is equally hamstrung: Talk about the worst time to cave to a man who insulted both your wife and your father! He'll only be known as one whose expertise is limited to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Seriously, no one knows where this is going. There will likely be an extreme backlash once Trump concedes (if he does, and does not fall back on "I was robbed!"), but many of his supporters will anyway. They will not come back to the fold. There is no one who can reunite the GOP that I can see. Best, from my point of view, would be for the traditional New England limited government inclusive types - aka G. Bush senior - to try to patch things up, but they'd be left with a rump party, and the others will eventually have to go somewhere - David Duke? - and it's difficult to continue when your base is so small that you have no chance of victory.

Mah, something will work out. May you be born in interesting times.

“I am ready for a revolution.”

O'Brien from Orwell's 1984:

"One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship."

Trump's in this for himself and perhaps his children. He doesn't care one whit for the other 320,000,000 US Americans nor the other 7,200,000,000 people in the world. What has he done beyond use people for his own personal gain? Trickled-down-on them?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Trump said. “I wouldn’t want to be in a foxhole with a lot of these people that I can tell you,

Tough talk from a man whose daddy's doctor helped him get a military deferment, and who boasted he had his own Vietnam avoiding STD from all the women he slept with.

Why does he want to increase the size of the US military, the most powerful and frightening the world has ever seen? Is he looking for property to build hotels and golf courses on?

@Serrano the ugly mess that America is now in."

This is interesting: Trump's followers live in a dystopia of their own making. (The Bob Loblaw Law Blog)

Anyway, Trump supporters - make sure you go out and vote on Nov 28th.

"I’m just tired of non-support” from leaders of the party he represents on the presidential ticket, Trump said Tuesday

Ok.

“I don’t want his support, I don’t care about his support,” Trump said.

Ok.

Another woman told Pence she was concerned about widespread voter fraud

Gotta love GOP tactics.

I happen to be a Christian woman totally not offended by any of the comments that Donald Trump has made he is not a religious leader. I had known that he was somebody from the world which means he would have language like that I am not surprised nor do I condone that type of talk.

Totally not offended? I was not offended by the language but by the message being conveyed IN the language. A supposedly religious woman is listening to a man telling someone how he made an unwelcome sexual advance on a woman he knew was married. (Trump was newly married at the time, too.) The same man claims to "love the Bible." And she's totally not offended?

Trump, in his apology, was essentially saying that he wasn't sorry for trying to hit on a married woman, but for telling someone else he did it in terms that were too blunt.

It appears that an alarming percentage of the American electorate is undergoing a mental meltdown. This is how their irrational minds are drawn to a Donald Trump.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Just ask evangelicals if they would be OK with Trump leading their church. If they say no, then ask why they are ok with him leading the country.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Trust me most republicans I talk to don't buy any of this garbage the media is pushing. All those guys on top are Hillary supporters anyway. They don't represent the Republican Party as it stands now.

Thumbs up for you. So what will happen to "the Republican Party as it stands now" when it is locked out of all branches of government and remains dependent on an insular, shrinking demographic?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Not a bulldozer, more like a pyromaniac, setting his own house (republican party) on fire simply because the lightswitch didnt work. Generally not the way to go about things, but as long its the republicans, Im not calling the fire brigade. The roof, the roof is on fire......

I'm not a Christian, but I think this is an interesting comment from a Christian woman taken from Youtube where, by the way, there are WAY more pro-Trump comments than pro-Hillary comments -...

Here's a fun idea if you're that impressed by YouTube comments - find the Horst Wessel Lied and check out some of the things people have to say about it.

LagunaOCT. 12, 2016 - 09:46PM JST

Still, the quote is interesting in what it says about the Christian right: the demographic has completely abandoned any pretense of Christian tenets and has revealed itself to be simply a knee-jerk lapdog of Republican conservativism. At the same time, their mythical power has been broken. By backing Trump, they have destroyed their decades-long power as a voting block.

Something that at least some of them appear to be realising themselves. Here's another evangelical:

This past week, the latest (though surely not last) revelations from Trump’s past have caused many evangelical leaders to reconsider. This is heartening, but it comes awfully late. What Trump is, everyone has known and has been able to see for decades, let alone the last few months. The revelations of the past week of his vile and crude boasting about sexual conquest—indeed, sexual assault—might have been shocking, but they should have surprised no one.

It's a bit long, I'll just add a link to where you can find the rest:

http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2016/october-web-only/speak-truth-to-trump.html?start=2

That's an editorial, by the way. It might get more attention than some random YouTube individual.

Y'know why Trump can do this?

Donald Trump has fallen further behind Hillary Clinton and now trails her by 8 points among likely voters, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll, with 1 in 5 Republicans saying his vulgar comments about groping women disqualify him from the presidency.

Just so we are all clear: 4 in 5 Republicans believe bragging about sexual battery is not disqualifying for the presidency. 4 in 5 Republicans.

The Republican voter likes and will vote for Trump not in spite of his predatory bluster but because of it.

Don't let anyone fool you. The problem is not Trump. The problem is the Republican party. Trump is the symptom. The disease is the party.

The cure is VOTE DE

Thats already underway. The civil war in the Republican party will be much bigger than a revolution.

Serrano-bano--that commen about not judging poor ole Trump-frumpy because of his potty-mouth JUST doesn't wash, when he continually--YES CONTINUALLY does it and lies about it, sliming the former ms. America and then lying that she was in a porn video! THIS devil is just a DEVIL, and the excuses are wearing thin and you have NO forgiveness for anything that Bill Clinton or Hillary ever did. So save me the crocodile tears. This man deserves nothing but a good WHIPPING at the stake, and prison time for his rape of a 13 year old, molesting minors.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

That comment had 149 thumbs up.

But were they scientifically polled thumbs-up, or just some gaggle of yahoos? Trump still insists that "all" of the polls show him having won the last debate (and by "all" here, he means bait click).

"I happen to be a Christian woman totally not offended by any of the comments that Donald Trump has made he is not a religious leader

He has been charged with raping a 13 year old girl. He may not be religious leader, what a stupid thing to say, but he is an admitted sexual criminal and liar. And somehow a Christian woman believes that this man would be able to fix the USA? I fail to see the link between being a sociopath pervert and being a good leader.

@Frederic Bastiat

The average of all polls has Clinton ahead by about 6.5 points according to RealClearPolitics. That's huge. To put it in perspective, Obama was only ahead of Romney by 0.7 at this point in the 2012 election. Sure anything can happen, but... And really, what does that say about Trump's supporters if they're actually gaining in light of the latest in his long line of BS?

Another woman told Pence she was concerned about widespread voter fraud and warned that, if Clinton wins, “I am ready for a revolution.”

Imbeciles, the lot of 'em. Deplorables doesn't do justice to the profound level of monkey-jibbering, migraine-inducing, blindling stupidity and appalling ignorance that defines the very core of Trump supporters. This really is the definition of cutting off one's nose to spite the face.

I weep for our Republic. I really do.

. . . for the remaining Clinton supporters

What planet are you living on, Serrano? Even the USC/L.A. Times poll, which has favored Trump consistently throughout this campaign now shows Clinton and Trump neck-and-neck.

Here's what you and the rest of you howling gibbons that make up Trump's base don't get: With every day that passes, even though Trump and Clinton suffer historic low approval ratings, people are realizing that the hate and fear Trump's vision of America infinitely more than they fear Clinton's.

Support for Clinton is much like Trump's: Her base is fairly set and unlikely to grow appreciably in the next few months.

However the hate and disgust people have for Trump's vile brand of politics is growing exponentially. People are going to vote for Clinton specifically to keep Trump away from the White House, and not necessarily to put Clinton in. And I'm perfectly okay with that, particularly since I'm one of those who, while not necessarily a fan of Clinton, is absolutely against the racism, misogyny, and blind, gullible stupidity that is the rallying cry of Trump's entire campaign.

Don't love Clinton. But Trump scares the s#!t out of me.

This is interesting. Some of his supporters are calling for a repeal of the 19th Amendendment in order to help him win with just the white male vote.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/trailguide/la-na-trailguide-updates-trump-backers-tweet-repealthe19th-1476299001-htmlstory.html

Seriously, as an educated person, how can you stomach this dark, ignorant pit Trump is dragging the electorate into?

At this point its pretty obvious that Trump and his supporters have built an alternate reality where he wins debates, is leading in the polls, and isn't a womanizing bigot. They borrowed the GOP's bubble blueprint and put it into overdrive with guys like Hannity and Alex Jones.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Mr. Trump cannot be elected. Politicians need to work together to get elected, but he doesn't play well with others.

Ms. Clinton has a bunch of baggage too. Even with the almost completely 1-sided PBS specials on her, she has very poor decision-making abilities, then lies about it.

They are both proven liars and not about trivial things, but about very important things.

Even the libertarian guy is scary with crazy ideas in his platform.

Vote : None of the Above. I just cannot vote "for" any of the options.

Got my sample ballot yesterday so to consider the other items that haven't gotten any press which will be on the ballot - State constitutional amendments, lower offices. Things that are less crazy than these people running for Prez.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Great! The republican don't like their own party elite. He's tapping into the populous not the gop cronies on the top. Trust me most republicans I talk to don't buy any of this garbage the media is pushing. All those guys on top are Hillary supporters anyway. They don't represent the Republican Party as it stands now.

The average of all the skewed polls... is still skewed in the favor of the skewers.

The lack of state polls is very interesting. If Hillary was walking away with the election, everyone would just be going through the motions and we would already see a slew of them.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Newsflash : the Neocons who call themselves Republicans have NEVER supported Trump. You may recall that ALL their candidates dropped like flies in the primaries. And they didn't rally around Cruz much either. The voters, however, backed and are backing Trump MORE, not less. The polls they quote sample from 48% Democrats, 37% Republicans, and 12% "Independents". But that's OK. Let them underestimate the actual Trump support.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Anyway, Hillary supporters ( whoever 's left by Nov.8 ) - make sure you vote only once.

They must be the tens of millions in Hillary's basket of deplorables / irredeemables.

Ryan seems so ineffectual when compared to Trump and not much of an asset......

I'm not a Christian, but I think this is an interesting comment from a Christian woman taken from Youtube where, by the way, there are WAY more pro-Trump comments than pro-Hillary comments -

"I happen to be a Christian woman totally not offended by any of the comments that Donald Trump has made he is not a religious leader. I had known that he was somebody from the world which means he would have language like that I am not surprised nor do I condone that type of talk. However the issues that are at hand in our country are so serious and this man Donald Trump has consistently been able to identify the issues and offer solutions to these very serious problems that threaten us as a nation. It's amazing to me the coverage that has taken place over Trump's potty mouth compared to all the deadly serious issues going on in our nation. I speak for many Christian women because we know that it's only by the grace of God that we walk a narrow life we know that it's only by the grace of God the power of God that we can keep our mouths clean. We are not here to judge Donald Trump. As a matter of fact it's amazing that he actually apologized and had remorse for those words that he spoke. We have leaders in the past and in the present religious and non who wouldn't have done that. I find it to be a joke whoever had those tapes waited to a month before the election day but rest assured he will be president and I hope we can all get along and stand behind him as a leader and allow him to help us out of the ugly mess that America is now in."

That comment had 149 thumbs up.
