Of course not, we needed to inject steroid cuts to jumpstart the economy, now while you are trying to split hairs because I know at this point the Democrats don’t even have the slightest idea on how to run a sluggish economy because once they get into office, the job creators will be a thing of the past and everyone can get a job at the Post office.
I never said that, the opposite.
A sluggish 2.0% GDP, kinda of embarrassing, luckily he decided to immediately right that wrong.
And still couldn’t create a booming economy and high paying jobs that didn’t require a question, “would you like fries with your meal.” But like I said, mediocrity for liberals is acceptable.
SuperLib
I just found it odd that you would blast Ryan for creating a deficit with tax cuts you supported, and also that you said the deficit fell under Obama and is increasing under Trump. And Obama's deficits included emergency spending so the economy wouldn't collapse while Trump comes into office enjoying a growing economy. And Obama still did a better job with the deficit.
bass4funk
No, I am for the tax cuts, but I also know if you want to make a cake you need to crack a few eggs. How about we cut entitlements and before you say it, there is some military budget that could use some slashing as well, but entitlements....well..look at California, get rid of the bulk and that would greatly reduce or deficit.
No, I’m here to say, it’s thankfully on its last leg.
What? Lol
https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/feb/18/barack-obamas-real-debt-and-deficit-legacy/
Scam? Hmmmmm.....I sure hope one of the socialists will run with that Pinocchio, they’re going to trip over their noses. So the President is on the economy 54% approval...Yeah, good luck trying in trying to disapprove that. No to the Presidents tax cuts and say yes, to socialism. Never seen a party that wants to lose so badly.
bass4funk
Ok, so no proof as usual, understand.
Doesn’t matter, the Democrats control the purse, regardless of what the President wanted or didn’t want, they could have shown they care and they are the better politicians, instead, they didn’t lift a hand. No sealed borders, no money, AOC the genius pushes Wayfair to not send beds to help these people, I guess they’ll just have to continue sleeping on the floor.
Yup, Thankfully, some of these Dems will be one termers.
Careful, some might be Democrat voters.
He probably didn’t with the thousands he has and that managed his properties, that’s why you hire management to do that for you. I don’t think that Howard Schultz knows if a Chinese person working in one of his stores could have a fake ID, let alone hold him accountable. Democrats probably wouldn’t know since they’re government workers, totally different Tiger the private sector.
Well, the Democrats definitely aren't. Lol
SuperLib
Right. Just like we said the tax cuts for the rich would do, it would explode the deficit. But...correct me if I'm wrong, you were all for the tax cuts? And now, here you are, quoting a leftist site Vox.com, railing on Paul Ryan for creating a deficit? Simply amazing how Trump bends you at his will.
Wait, you're here to tell us deficits fell under Obama?
OK, so should I ignore your previous comment about deficits falling under Obama?
DId bass just learn about the scam of tax cuts for the rich? How they don't pay for themselves? How they create deficits? And how deficits are rising under Trump and fell under Obama?
Welcome to the good guys.

The posts were too much even for the mods who deleted them, but I am sure you remember.
Democrats had agreed to fund, but Donny had too much of an ego to accept. Not surprised his supporters dont have much idea.
The ones going on hateful rants seem to be the ones of not stable minds.
Isn't Donny a genius who runs the country all on his own, of course the brilliant Ivanka and her genius husband do chip in. So managing a company should be child's play(though it seems to be run by immature minds)
If Donny didn't know why did he accept the fact that he knew illegals were employed. I know its difficult to keep track of Donny's lies, but he is your messiah , you should know.
Serrano
Record low unemployment? Read about yet another corporation laying off more workers,
Earth to TheRat - There are always going to be some companies that lay off workers even in the best economy. Why, it even happened during Obama's presidency.
getting out of Afghanistan? LOL! Really? How naive you are
Obama couldn't do it in eight years, in fact he increased the number of U.S. troops there. Let's see what happens over the next six years, shall we?
And as for the First Lady, I particularly enjoyed her nude lesbian-like photos that she took and all of those shots of her partially naked too!
There's still hope for you! haha
Of course, when Michelle Obama had a sleeve-less shirt on one time,
Please. I'm still eating dinner.
bass4funk
Yeah, more msm exaggerated lies. Where is the proof? What about the fact that the Democrats are the ones that allowed this mess to happen? When Trump asked money for the wall, the Dems said, No. They won’t give up Sanctuary cities, they won’t do anything about the illegal homeless, they first said, the influx of illegals coming in is a manufactured crisis and didn’t want to give it any attention, now all of a sudden, it’s a crisis and something needs to be done. They wouldn’t even vote for the $4.5 million relief aid package for clean sheets, underwear, beds etc. AOC, the bright person she is as well as the other socialists saw to that, so what do they want, they don’t like the conditions they made, they don’t like ICE they want to abolish them, they don’t believe the CBP so what do they want? Just let them all in? I swear, the Democrat party has completely gone insane.
Ahhhh...4,500 employees, a few hundred in management and he has to keep track with all that he has on who is illegal and who isn’t? Yeah, that feeble fabricated attempt won’t stick either.
TheRat

Trump supporters scream booming economy I really hope he gets another 4 years then you will really see the damage hes done..
Most Americans won't mind at all 4 more years of this "damage."
ulysses
Somewhere on the Trump train, the haters forgot that democracy is about debate, different opinions.
Its not about masses giving up their thinking ability because they found a messiah who spoke their hateful language.
ulysses
Not at all I am referring to your posts which justify pedophilia and killing of migrants because they are different.
But Donny is doing a lot for illegal immigrants, he hires them on the cheap, justifies their hirings by saying Americans don't want to do these jobs, then fires them when he is unable to take the heat.
bass4funk
You forgot Anthony Wiener, Bob Menendez?
Like the previous administration, but more quietly...
Oh, the AOC and Thlaib talking points again?
It helps to have a media watch your back.
https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/white-house/article213525764.html
I don’t see Democrats doing anything in LA, San Francisco or New York City with the thousands of them on the streets many of them with the homeless, so besides 20 open borders, what are they doing for these people, nothing.
ulysses
Would love to see how much Donny is paying.
Oh wait, he is still under audit!
Though nobody knows who is auditing him.
Maybe Putin wants an update on his ROI!!
ulysses
I haven't seen them justify pedophilia and killing of immigrants because they are 'different'.
At least they are not hiring immigrants to work to do similar jobs while outwardly railing against them.
bass4funk
"Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level. The bulk of the costs — some $84 billion — are absorbed by state and local governments…
At the federal level, about one-third of outlays are matched by tax collections from illegal aliens. At the state and local level, an average of less than 5 percent of the public costs associated with illegal immigration is recouped through taxes collected from illegal aliens.
Most illegal aliens do not pay income taxes. Among those who do, much of the revenues collected are refunded to the illegal aliens when they file tax returns. Many are also claiming tax credits resulting in payments from the U.S. Treasury."
Lol, after last weeks Democrat debate I would definitely beg to differ
1glenn
One year, six months, and six days to go..........
bass4funk
I know you didn’t say that with a straight face. Throwing a milkshake at journalists attacking gay conservatives, trying to block any conservative from using the First Amendment on social media and two years ago a Bernie supporter almost killed a Republican congressman Scalise. Imagine if some of the women in the US soccer team were conservative in hard-core Trump supporters, liberals give them the same respect and same platform how about Mayor Pete? Do you think you will get the same kind of respect if you were conservative and gay? Sorry to tell you but Democrats are very selective in their hate and outrage.
And where are these people now, working at McDonald’s?
ulysses
Paul Ryan was like most republicans, totally emasculated, afraid to raise his voice when he was speaker. Now he speaks and few will date to agree with him.
The conservative party had turned into a party of haters, and there are only a few left with the courage to speak their minds. Unfortunately these too are endangered species.
bass4funk
Of course I don’t like the debt, but I also believe in letting the markets played out, leave the corporations alone, well at least the majority of them and let it bear fruit and don’t interfere with it. Rich people already pay the majority of taxes in the country and there is about 22 million Americans not including the undocumented they don’t pay any taxes, so how is that fair? Right, it’s not fair and we should pay more and more? Like how much is more? 80% 90% or 100%? As long as liberals keep demonizing to rich rich people always have the power of mobility and to move the money around and if that happens the economy is going to tank naturally.
I have always made clear for years now. Nice try, Jim.
Most definitely was
https://nypost.com/2018/09/12/this-economy-definitely-is-not-obamas-recovery/
Jimizo
True.
The economy wasn’t stagnant under Obama.
You either don’t know the meaning of ‘stagnant’ or you’ve been reading fake news. It could very well be both.
bass4funk
That goes both ways. We think the same on the opposing side.
stagnant is not healthy. See, this is exactly what gets me about liberals they think stagnation in mediocrity something to be OK with. Wow, just wow!
Neither is socialism. Free college, free medical care, free baby care, free, free, free. Never going to win on that platform, you can have the country looking like California, Oregon or Washington State very soon if that were to happen
And the GOP need bleach and sanitizer to clean up after the Democrats have left as well as to put everything back in order like a child with a messed up room.
Yup!
Jimizo
Sorry, not doing things like giving the less well-off healthcare.
An edit function would be useful...
Jimizo
@bass
Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought fiscal conservatives like yourself didn’t like debt itself. Now I see that debt is okay as long as you are cutting taxes on the rich and doing things like giving the less well-off healthcare.
It’s just that you didn’t make that clear when railing against Obama. You gave the impression you hated debt itself.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Jonorth
It's kinda hilarious to read Trump's tweets, because they really do sound like an elderly man who just discovered the internet. What's with All the Random Caps?
Sneezy
Facts are, however. I know right wingers love postmodernism and deny that objective truth can exist, but the thing is, that’s not... true
bass4funk
Yeah, that’s what the media hopes for because the Democrats can’t make one, they don’t know How to create a vibrant private sector, they want to constantly raise taxes, they don’t believe in cutting them across the board and they don’t believe in the deregulation, This is why they won’t win again and if you look at the job supports, they are through the roof, so none of these Democrats can beat Trump on the economy. Prominent Democrats like David Axylrod and Mark Cuban have all said, as of now, there’s No one and particularly these Democrats can beat Trump. I want to see them try it.
bass4funk
Pretty much.
Liberals never do and the entire Washington establishment is unwilling to do it.
Sorry, a debate is not one-sided, opposing points of views exist outside of the liberal realm.
bass4funk
Ok, so punish the job creators and stop spending money to curtail excessive spending on entitlements. Hmmm....ok...in other words, the California effect is the best. Lol
Over excessive entitlements, yes, I do.
Trump was handed a very sluggish economy and an underperforming GDP under 3%.
lincolnman
She's a sad figure, who has to live with the fact that her creepy husband cheated on her with a porn star, and 19 other women have accused him on sexual assault...
Putin agrees - and says "Thank you Trumpers!"....
That's a fact - and look at those Tea Party Repubs who are up in arms that we haven't balanced the budget - you know, like they did for 8 years under President Obama...
Dang straight - I mean just look back over the past 60 years and who was the only President to have a balanced budget - even a surplus! That's right it was ....err.....uh......oh yea, it was Dem President Clinton....
Trump's on drugs? Jeez, porn stars, Playboy Bunnies, now drugs....

Nobody is piling on or in Italy 70+ years ago. This is more irrelevance. Just admit you asserted that Ryan talks more trash than Donny. It's quite simple.
We aren't slicing cakes, we are determining who is engaging in the discussion in good faith. The conclusion is obvious.
None of this changes that you asserted Ryan talks more trash than Donny.
Okay, but this was not part of the conversation. More irrelevance.
Jimizo
By giving tax breaks to rich people and piling on more debt?
Do you remember when you went ballistic over the debt under Obama? Those were the days, eh, Bass? You must feel so much more relaxed now that you don’t care about it anymore.
bass4funk
Well, the last one didn’t and it’s funny that these Democrats grew the Federal government more than the private sector.
Trump changed all that, it’s on steroids now.
So much for Paul Ryan’s theory, where is he by the way? Did he open up a marijuana farm?
Strangerland
Heh bass once again ignores the fact that the last 40 years of democratic presidents have left the economy better than they got it, with republican presidents during that time leaving it worse.
I thought we were done pretending the republicans care about fiscal responsibility. There isn’t actually anyone out there stupid enough to still believe that is there?
bass4funk
And if a Democrat president gets into office, guess what, the Democrats are not going to bring the deficit down, they won’t even try, there is no way on gods green earth they would ever do that, with the socialist programs that they want to implement it will jump even higher they were Trump is trying to cut back and do. I have never met a Democrat that didn’t love a tax.
bass4funk
Ok, so we should pile on and make it a one-sided attack and not allow any opposing points of views.....they did the same thing in Italy 70 years ago.
Oh, stop! It doesn’t matter how we slice the cake, most important thing is, we get a slice.
I beg to differ it that at least if truck trash talks he’ll sit to the persons face unlike most of the other establishment cowards that refuse to call him out if they’re not happy, so it’s equally as bad. In fact, it’s worse, no one likes a backstabber.
two wrongs don’t make a right and also when someone attacks you, you have every right to respond back.
bass4funk
And this is what he has to his legacy to show for it.
House Speaker Paul Ryan’s legacy can be summed up in just one number: $343 billion.
That’s the increase between the deficit for fiscal year 2015 and fiscal year 2018— that is, the difference between the fiscal year before Ryan became speaker of the House and the fiscal year in which he retired.
If the economy had fallen into recession between 2015 and 2018, Ryan’s record would be understandable. But it didn’t. In fact, growth quickened and the labor market tightened — which means deficits should’ve fallen. Indeed, that’s exactly what happened in each of the five years preceding Ryan’s speakership; from 2011 to 2015, annual deficits fell each year.
Who has more accomplishes for a non-politician than most professional politicians had.
Awards:
As well as a $343 billion deficit.
Donald trump: A booming economy. The market and jobs reports are through the roof...again.
Chip Star
Really? You're doubling down on irrelevance? Smooth.
Yes, they both unloaded on each other, but you asserted Ryan talks more trash than Donny.
We only got here because you refused to acknowledge that no rational adult would assert that Ryan talks more trash than Donny. Instead of recognizing your mistake, you obfuscated and deflected to Ryan's performance as Speaker. You've now pivoted to "two wrongs make a right."
Serrano
Dang straight - you tell them - don't let those Dems and RINO's keep you from getting Putin's wish list done
Har! Keep beatin' that dead horse, lincolnman!
The economy has been good to me especially since I get stock options. But the best part is hearing from Trump fans such as yourself cheering my increased wealth while you sit on the sidelines.
Har! As if SuperLib knows anything whatsoever about my finances.
If you're reduced to listing the "great First Lady in the White House" as an accomplishment, you already are.
So you're saying Melania isn't a great First Lady, but Michelle, who refuses to support the candidacy of the man who served under her husband for 8 years is, right? lol
Ryan and the British ambassador are spot on with their thinking on Trump, baby!
Nah, they both suck.
Jimizo
Who is saying Ryan is awesome? Are you arguing with yourself?
Blacklabel
If Ryan is so awesome let him run against Trump in 2020 and get crushed.
bass4funk
No, it’s relevant, Ryan unloaded on Trump and Trump did the same, feelings go both ways.
Well, Trump won’t. If you want me to bag on Trump, I won’t because I thought Ryan was a backstabbing snake.
Jimizo
Trump supporters are becoming as thin-skinned as Trump himself. They lash out at anyone who criticizes the stable genius.
This is very childish.
Kestrel
What a shameless ineffectual nobody.
Paul Ryan - a footnote in history.
Jimizo
Yet another person who worked closely with Trump points out what a stunning ignoramus he is and Trump throws his potty on Twitter.
This is becoming very familiar.
SuperLib

lincolnman

Now let's get those MAGA hats and Russian flags out and start waving...
Serrano
I guess putting a guy in the White House whose only accomplishment was "being born rich"
Live in denial much? Booming economy, record low unemployment, people getting off welfare and food stamps, better trade deals being done, ISIS decimated, steps being taken to get us out of Syria and Afghanistan, a great First Lady in the White House, I could go on and on.
Serrano
"I'm telling you, he didn't know anything about government. I wanted to scold him all the time."
I'm telling you, he knows how to get things done even with all the Democrats and a bunch of RINOS like you and the media against him.
Norman Goodman
Two sentences: "He quit Congress because he didn't know how to Win," and "Never knew how to go after the Dems like they go after us.". These describe Republicans perfectly. All about winning. And if we tell them winning this time means they win cancer, they get all victim complex about it like we just warned them to embarrass them.
lincolnman
Well, we certainly see a pattern here, a Repub says good, if sometimes restrained things about Trump while he's in office, then suddenly decides to "be honest" after leaving and tell the truth that this Impostor is an idiot, a moron, and has the understanding of a fifth grader.
But the stench doesn't wash off so easy. The lesson is associate yourself with Trump, and you're guaranteed to have your good reputation besmirched and diminished. You always come out smaller.
Same as when you join the mafia...
Pence, Mitch, et al; hope you're paying attention....
SuperLib
Wow, I don't think I've ever heard you criticize Paul Ryan. Now I'm guessing he's on your, "hate him for the rest of my life" list Trump fans keep.
SuperLib
This echos what we've heard from others. Tillerson called him a moron and said he got badly outmaneuvered by Putin. Mattis took a swipe at Trump by mentioning his lack of understanding of the importance of allies. Supposedly John Kelly had some choice words as well and we know what the British Ambassador thinks. The list goes on and on.
I guess putting a guy in the White House whose only accomplishment was "being born rich" wasn't such a great idea after all. His lack of accomplishments or clear direction on the world stage is direct evidence of what so many are saying about him.
Chip Star
That may very well be, but it wasn't the topic of discussion, which means it's irrelevant. See below for the convo:
Naw, it’s Ryan that should actually.
No rational adult would ever claim that Paul Ryan talks more trash than Donny.
See how the OP, you, and then I were discussing whether Donny or Ryan should shut up? That was the topic, not Ryan's effectiveness as the Speaker.
bass4funk
But him being ineffective as a House Speaker is far worse.
Chip Star
No rational adult would ever claim that Paul Ryan talks more trash than Donny.
And, don't look back at my posts when Ryan started coughing up his integrity to Donny because I was praising him to high heaven then. Hilarious.
bass4funk
Why didn’t Ryan say anything to the President while he was in office, at least that disgraceful Amash to his credit did. Ryan is the one that’s two faced coward! No wonder everyone was happy when he stepped down, good riddance.
Amen
Arrrgh-Type
Ryan and his ilk have no one else but themselves to blame for the Trump presidency. They're the ones that pushed for voodoo economic plans that made no logical sense [lowering taxes will actually increase government revenues!] or scientific sense [clean coal! Global warming is a hoax made up by the Chinese!]. This has opened up the box to a lot of dark places as well [seemingly endless racial insinuations, Birtherism the most infamous].
Probably GOP lawmakers thought that as long as the adults were in control, they could use it to set the agenda as they'd like. But once this kind of thinking was in place, it was a ripe environment for a demagogue like Trump to come in and take power. They started this, now they need to own it.
stormcrow
Too little, too late. Save it for the next life, Paul.

Why didn't you say these things when you had the Speakership Mr Ryan? The two faced cowardice of these politicians is astonishing. Once it's safe they'll throw bombs, but when they are in power, they use double speak and half-truths.
