As low as Trump's supporters allow him to go. Which is presumably bottomless.
SuperLib
Trump really is afraid of Muslims, huh?
And it's obvious he lied about the embassy attacks. No one will go on record to confirm it.
CrazyJoe
There is no “making it worse.” Because for these people, there is no bottom, no floor to their vileness.
This sort of thing is why the base stays with him. It’s not judges, or immigration, or walls. It’s a gleeful joy in attacking your perceived enemies in the most grotesque terms imaginable. It’s literally the only thing they care about.
ulysses
Intervention???? It’s the bigots who require intervention.
Nobody claimed Bigots are smart, they are bigots precisely because of a lack of education.
ROFL, as I said bigots are not smart......
Jimizo
More trash from Trump. His supporters like this kind of thing.
SuperLib
Pretty much sums it up.
ulysses
The only thing he has succeeded in is bringing American bigots out of the woodwork so that we can see them for what they are, small minded ,disgusting individuals.
ulysses
All he has shown is his level of bigotry, brilliant??? I think not.
Impeachment has little to do with bigotry, other than the fact that donny the bigot got impeached.
Toasted Heretic
The great liar lies again. And his supporters lap it all up. For them, truth is an inconvenience, something to be manipulated and bypassed.
He doesn't need to do anything except stop interfering. The people will triumph, be it over the regime in Tehran or Washington.
Remember how Washington supported the brutal and bloody rule of the Pahlavis? How thousands upon thousands were massacred, how Savak made thousands go missing, or tortured them? How students were regularly beaten and shot at for protesting?
Nothing but silence from the hypocritical US politicians back then.
SuperLib
Remember when the scam artist lied about seeing tens of thousands of Muslims in the US cheering on 9/11?
He lies to smear Muslims because that’s the kind of man he is. He is afraid and he lashes out.
Jim Harper
Opposition to Trump's recent activities in the Middle East is not the same as supporting and condoning the vile Iranian regime, and no amount of whining will ever make it so. It's a cheap jibe from a man who is master of little else. A more constructive activity would be to spell out in detail why those actions were necessary and justified, thus placing himself above reproach and leaving his opponents without a leg to stand on, but I won't be holding my breath.
ulysses
Its been known for a long time, even before donny became President, I am sure the bigots love it, but the rest of us don’t.
We need to wait till November for that!!!!
Toasted Heretic
I'm curious. When did Trump followers decide that truth isn't important anymore?
That the most important thing was to lie to the people?
Ironic, isn't it, when you see what happens in Iran when the people have had enough of their government lying to them?
And this is after just one particular lie (or not being honest upfront).
Imagine if Americans started an uprising against their lying government.
Toasted Heretic
Correct, Jim. It reminds me of this quote:
Although dictatorship despises the people, it takes pains to win their recognition. In spite of being lawless - or rather, because it is lawless - it strives for the appearance of legality. On this point, it is exceedingly touchy, morbidly oversensitive. Moreover, it suffers from a feeling (however deeply hidden) of inferiority. So it spares no pains to demonstrate to itself and others the popular approval it enjoys. Even if this support is a mere charade, it feels satisfying. So what if it's only an appearance? The world of dictatorship is full of appearances.
That's author Ryszard Kapuscinski, back in 1982 on the Shah. He knew a thing or two about dictators, did RK. And it can equally apply to the current US administration.

Not true. He supported Trump's racism regarding discrimination against blacks in housing. And he also supported Arpaio's discrimination against Latinos in Arizona and Trump's subsequent pardon.
lincolnman
1973: The US Department of Justice — under the Nixon administration, out of all administrations — sued the Trump Management Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act. Federal officials found evidence that Trump had refused to rent to black tenants and lied to black applicants about whether apartments were available, among other accusations. Trump said the federal government was trying to get him to rent to welfare recipients. In the aftermath, he signed an agreement in 1975 agreeing not to discriminate to renters of color without admitting to discriminating before.
1980s: Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump’s Castle, accused another one of Trump’s businesses of discrimination. “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” Brown said. “It was the eighties, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back.”
1989: In a controversial case that’s been characterized as a modern-day lynching, four black teenagers and one Latino teenager — the “Central Park Five” — were accused of attacking and raping a jogger in New York City. Trump immediately took charge in the case, running an ad in local papers demanding, “BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY. BRING BACK OUR POLICE!” The teens’ convictions were later vacated after they spent seven to 13 years in prison, and the city paid $41 million in a settlement to the teens. But Trump in October 2016 said he still believes they’re guilty, despite the DNA evidence to the contrary.
1991: A book by John O’Donnell, former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump’s criticism of a black accountant: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.” Trump at first denied the remarks, but later said in a 1997 Playboy interview that “the stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true.”
1992: The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino had to pay a $200,000 fine because it transferred black and women dealers off tables to accommodate a big-time gambler’s prejudices.
1993: In congressional testimony, Trump said that some Native American reservations operating casinos shouldn’t be allowed because “they don’t look like Indians to me.”
2005: Trump publicly pitched what was essentially The Apprentice: White People vs. Black People. He said he “wasn’t particularly happy” with the most recent season of his show, so he was considering “an idea that is fairly controversial — creating a team of successful African Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world.”
2011: Trump played a big role in pushing false rumors that Obama — the country’s first black president — was not born in the US. He even sent investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama’s birth certificate. Obama later released his birth certificate, calling Trump a ”carnival barker.” (The research has found a strong correlation between “birtherism,” as this conspiracy theory is called, and racism.) Trump has reportedly continued pushing this conspiracy theory in private.
2011: While Trump suggested that Obama wasn’t born in the US, he also argued that maybe Obama wasn’t a good enough student to have gotten into Columbia or Harvard Law School, and demanded Obama release his university transcripts. Trump claimed, “I heard he was a terrible student. Terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?”
2015: Trump launched his campaign in 2015 by calling Mexican immigrants “rapists” who are “bringing crime” and “bringing drugs” to the US. His campaign was largely built on building a wall to keep these immigrants out of the US.
2015: As a candidate in 2015, Trump called for a ban on all Muslims coming into the US. His administration eventually implemented a significantly watered-down version of the policy.
2016: He argued in 2016 that Judge Gonzalo Curiel — who was overseeing the Trump University lawsuit — should recuse himself from the case because of his Mexican heritage and membership in a Latino lawyers association. House Speaker Paul Ryan, who endorsed Trump, later called such comments “the textbook definition of a racist comment.”
2016: Trump has been repeatedly slow to condemn white supremacists who endorse him, and he regularly retweeted messages from white supremacists and neo-Nazis during his presidential campaign.
2016: He tweeted and later deleted an image that showed Hillary Clinton in front of a pile of money and by a Jewish Star of David that said, “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!” The tweet had some very obvious anti-Semitic imagery, but Trump insisted that the star was a sheriff’s badge, and said his campaign shouldn’t have deleted it.
2017: Trump stereotyped a black reporter at a press conference in February 2017. When April Ryan asked him if he plans to meet and work with the Congressional Black Caucus, he repeatedly asked her to set up the meeting — even as she insisted that she’s “just a reporter.”
2017: In the week after white supremacist protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017, Trump repeatedly said that “many sides” and “both sides” were to blame for the violence and chaos that ensued — suggesting that the white supremacist protesters were morally equivalent to counterprotesters that stood against racism. He also said that there were “some very fine people” among the white supremacists. All of this seemed like a dog whistle to white supremacists — and many of them took it as one, with white nationalist Richard Spencer praising Trump for “defending the truth.”
2017: Trump reportedly said in 2017 that people who came to the US from Haiti “all have AIDS,” and he lamented that people who came to the US from Nigeria would never “go back to their huts” once they saw America. The White House denied that Trump ever made these comments.
2018: Speaking about immigration in a bipartisan meeting in January 2018, Trump reportedly asked, in reference to Haiti and African countries, “Why are we having all these people from sh)(*& countries come here?” He then reportedly suggested that the US should take more people from countries like Norway. The implication: Immigrants from predominantly white countries are good, while immigrants from predominantly black countries are bad.
2018: Trump tweeted that several black and brown members of Congress — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — are “from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe” and that they should “go back” to those countries. It’s a common racist trope to say that black and brown people, particularly immigrants, should go back to their countries of origin. Three of four of the members of Congress whom Trump targeted were born in the US.

Nobody has said that. A joke is only funny if it contains some degree of recognizable truth.
The Democrats in congress simply find Trump's decision to kill this man strategically and politically problematic.

Don't think so, a movie about a fat man who Bonsepsurs himself out of Vietnam isn't Stone's style
And a movie about a bigot in the 21st century wouldn't be that interesting....

Lol revisionist history , donny got impeached , while you were sleeping.
ROFL, donny has lied almost every time he has opened his mouth, the latest one being of the 4 embassies being under threat. Why was the embassy staff not informed if that was the case????
Then the WH tweets pictures of snowfall on the day it was hitting 70 degrees, its like that they don't care any more, and their followers are too stupid to care....

Har har. Right-wing humor is so funny.
That wasn't considered funny by anybody, including the "left". It was pretty widely condemned by liberals. On the other hand, right-wingers actually find this Pelosi and Schumer joke amusing.
Toasted Heretic
Very telling that Trump supporters cannot bring themselves to condemn the picture.
They'd rather admit to supporting bigotry and pretending that racism is a joke. But then, some of them have form for not only supporting intolerance but also promoting prejudice.
It's hilarious how the term "anti-Trumper" is meant to be some sort of insult. I'd wear it on a t-shirt. Rather be anti-racist than an apologist for it.
SuperLib
Most Trump fans I meet are lower middle class losers who don't mind if the system implodes because it wasn't doing anything for them anyway. Might as well cheer for the racist.
Chip Star
BINGO! Of course, some of them go Kline and pretend to be uber rich.
Toasted Heretic
To be fair to Trump voters, not all of them are racist. Some actually believed that change would happen and that it would benefit them. Unfortunately, the trickle down theory is a lie and none but the elite win.
As for class, the working class are always shafted, doesn't matter what party is in power and whether the working class are black, white, brown etc.
The elite promote bigotry because it keeps the people divided. If working class people of all colors, faiths and orientations every decided to come together to oust the elitists, that would be true progress and unity.
But it's very unlikely that lying, establishment billionaires who claim to be draining swamps can ever deliver. Instead, they use tried and tested trickery and grow even more corrupt.
Toasted Heretic
Trump supporters already have voted for socialism, witness the ongoing bailouts for farmers.
Some even avail of socialism in this country, in regard to medical aid.
Just goes to show how little they understand political ideologies.
Toasted Heretic
That's not answering the question. Unless you worked for the man?
It's quite telling, in that case, that Trump supporters do whatever they're told. As mindless automatons, they parrot their master's increasing bizarre and unhinged rhetoric.
They swallow the lies and regurgitate. Doesn't matter how awful the lies or tweets are, whether it emanates from far right sources (that they've never heard of until Trump tweeted them). Anything goes.
And of course, they will not admit (or even comprehend why it is) that they lie. Instead the will point the finger of blame on others. Democrats, liberals, the media etc.
They will offer up strange and surreal excuses why they lie. And they will applaud the lies, however debased they are.
They will confusingly admit that they even love racism (on this very topic) because it's in circulation.
Wait until their dear leader's comments and use of the n-word finally come to light. Watch how they squirm and twist before eventually deciding that it's just a word and then blame someone else.

It's so sad that I've become so use to having an idiot 5th grader in the White House that nothing really surprises me anymore.

Just outright disgusting - and the Trumpers here won't condemn it. No better example of the robot-like cult that is Trump-world.
This is the kind of revolting behavior we wouldn't tolerate from a small town city council member - yet here it is being done by the President of the United States.
Blatant lying - the fake news President spreading fake news.
Inexcusable - she's defending an outright fraudulent picture...
Proud of yourself Trumpers - this is the type of crime mob mentality and behavior you voted for - turning the White House into a propaganda factory for fake news.

Toasted Heretic
Still you can't condemn Trump's bigotry and your own.
And not everyone who stands up against this racist clown is a liberal or a dem, or even an American.
I will stick to my prediction that when the n-word tapes come to light, Trump supporters will defend that, too.
SuperLib
I said most Trump fans I've met are lower middle class losers, not that all of them are racist. Some are, the rest look the other way. Some are both.
Trump's brilliance is being a documented scam artist who convinces the next group that this time it will be different....he really cares about them.
At the end of the day Trump is a born rich loser who appeals to born poor losers. It's revenge politics for the lower class who want to strike back at successful, educated liberals. Trump could come out as blackface and as long as he's pissing off liberals the undeucated portion of his base will cheer loudly. It's all they have and they will cling to it with both hands.
Even when Trump is being a bigot.
Toasted Heretic
This has to be the most bad faith post of the day. Myself and many other posters, over several years, on an often daily basis, have taken the time to read/watch/document the abhorrent racist comments/tweets/actions that Trump has said.
No matter how many examples that are posted, no matter how many times, a handful of disingenuous, dishonest posters will ignore and pretend that the man is not a racist.
And that's enough for now, I think, lest I waste any more time trying to argue with those who often post dubious far right links and voice their support for far right trash, not just in the US but in Europe.
TH has left the thread.
lincolnman
And the pathetic excuses keep coming. I guess Nancy or Chuck publishing a fake picture of Trump and Putin with their arms around each other and Putin shoving some cash in Donnie's pocket is "perfectly OK"....
I mean, both Eric and Don Jr have said on record that the Trump Org gets all the cash it needs from Russia...
Or how about a fake picture of Donnie and David Duke standing together both giving the Heil Hitler salute - he did say "some of them are very fine people"...
Sure, no problem with that - its all humor, right Trumpers?
PTownsend
No doubt Trump supporters will find humor in Michael Bloomberg's 'Keep Trump up at night' plans. ROFL hehe
Toasted Heretic
Ah, the default answer. Thus, proving my point.
At least Trump supporters have come clean that not only do they support racism, but they're loving it.
They can't backtrack on that.
And what has this got to do with Trump's racist tweets?
PTownsend
Trump keeping up the despot's motto of 'those who oppose me are the enemy'. Which is to be expected from those 'Americans' who see their neighbors with political viewpoints different from theirs as the enemy, the people who wear 'I'd rather be Russian than Democrat' Tshirts.
Trump and the GOP: continuing to divide a long divided nation; continuing to undermine the few remaining shards of democracy. Republicans trying to undermine the republic. And getting support from the global 'elite'.
Toasted Heretic
Do people still use terms like "lower class"? I'm sure you don't mean it, but it does sound a wee bit snobbish. Remember, education is often denied or made difficult to access for working class and marginalized peoples. Betsy DeVos being a notorious offender and appearing to have nothing but contempt for the peoples of the US.
You're absolutely bang on about the raison d'etre for some Trump supporters. As long as they're sticking it to the libs, even if it means cutting off the nose to spite the face. National security, unity, education, medical care, endless war, climate change... issues that should transcend mere party affiliations, are routinely trashed, as if it's some kind of game.
The sickening thing is, if voters were somehow unaware of the type of bigot, liar and charlatan they elected - they have no excuse, now.
Those hardcore that stick by the man and applaud his prejudices and lies - they are guilty of the same, by association. No matter what layer of the social strata they hail from.

Haven't seen the photos, but I assume it was obvious that they were ment to be funny, not "fake". Scott Adams points out that a lot of people simply do not understand jokes. And they seem to be over-represented in the orangeman bad crowd. On the other hand, the photo last year of this comedian with a bloody cut-off Trump head was probably seen as a great funny joke?

Did liberals condemn the baby Trump balloon?
Nordham is still in office and the Dems revere people like the late Senator Byrd and President Wilson, so why support these noted, signed, sealed and delivered racists?

That you guys have zero answer, so let’s try again, why would or should Trump have ANY regret for what he did? I think it’s true myself or how the Democrats are acting, but then again, liberals were quite ok and dismissive about the baby Trump ballon. So I think neither side needs to feel sorry. What, specifically, has Trump said or done that's racist?
To be fair to Trump voters, not all of them are racist.
Does that apply to Dr Ben Carson?

Um, there's been some pretty big, positive changes in the past three years, not Obama style "changes." You might want to check it out.
Trump supporters already have voted for socialism, witness the ongoing bailouts for farmers.
And if he didn't channel some of the money from tariffs to the farmers ( we are still in a trade war with China even as new agreements are being hammered out ) you'd be screaming that he doesn't care about farmers. Bigotry has nothing to do intervention and it undermines liberals arguments. If the policy was outright racist then Indonesia would be on the list of Muslim countries not allowed to enter the US. The Democrats do indeed act like Terrorists with their threats and intimidations, if anything the Democrats have been acting like disgusting brats throughout this entire political partisan scam.
