What's the bigger threat? North Korea or people who want to use North Korea to justify more defense contracts (money)?

"Show me the money!"

Who knows if NK gets a slice of the money pie?

As it is impossible to stop ICBMs, I would be a tad bit suspicious.

and $1.2 billion for increased troop levels in Afghanistan

$4 billion more to support missile defense

The budget request said the funds for South Asia would support the deployment of 3,500 more troops.

One of the many reasons I worried about a Trump presidency was I feared he'd ramp up US military actions abroad, which it clearly looks like he's doing. His supporters claimed he was NOT a militarist, that he was NOT a globalist. Can one of his supporters explain what he's doing with regard to expanding the most frightening military on the planet? Hopefully the answer will be something other than Obama was bad and Hillary was worse. ROFL

Congress provide $1.6 billion to build a wall

I guess Mexico isn't going to pay for it after all. With tax cuts for the rich, with the richest stashing their money offshore to avoid paying US taxes, how are these things going to be paid for?

Republicans and arithmetic don't go together. Trillions in debt yet the insane party want to cut government revenue?

Yes, cut taxes for the "lazy rich." The people who would inherit more wealth through an estate tax cut and who sit around and do not work. In that case, their tax rate is 20%. Their industrious siblings would pay a higher tax at 39.6%. So, the GoP plan incentives rich people to be lazy and not work.

The non-rich will pay more taxes and receive less. The rich will pay less taxes, and the deficit will increase.

Great job GoP, you just targeted a tax break for the 0.1% wealthiest, which includes Trump, his family, and a number of his cabinet members. Like any other politician in the swamp, he only ran for office to enrich himself and stroke his ego.

I know you’re joking, right?

$17 Trillion the last president left us, the ACA was supposed to be affordable, really? Entitlements through the roof and on and on...

Democrats want a blank check and want to make sure they can get based whatever lousy liberal legislation never concerned about our borrowing money from China, do not care if we keep printing it.

Trillions in debt yet

Yes, and Thank president 44 for accumulating so much of it.

the insane party want to cut government revenue?

Yes, any unnecessary entitlement that can be cut, should be cut, we need to find a better and more affordable way and not spend as if we have endless amounts of loot. Obama left the Democratic Party with a debt of $24 million.

Astonishing!

A myth again, stay off CNN and the Daily Kos.

For the record, I am in the upper bracket, I pay more than enough of taxes, so let me ask you, how much more should I pay, after my deductions and after my bills are all paid it’s to like I have that much to splurge on. This whole notion that the affluent look down on the little guy and don’t pay their fair taxes is over the top nutty. I worked my butt off to get to where I’m at and I just hate it when the left think the best way to pay for eve is to punish the rich. I think 39.6% is more than enough. But how is that fair when you have 40% of Americans that don’t pay any taxes? This is why liberals are scary when it comes to moneys they can’t create jobs, so the only way to get money is taxing people out of existence or robbing Paul to give to Peter and worry about the bill later.

The non-rich will pay more taxes and receive less. The rich will pay less taxes, and the deficit will increase.

We pay more than enough and you think if I pass my money to my kids you guys want to penalize me for that as well?

Oh, dear Lord...ROFL Coming from the party that takes pride in creating government jobs.

Would be good to have something that works in place. Better than nothing and for a cost of 4 Billion US$ .. what's the alternative cost should there be no defenses, or if what had been bought didn't work ?

Whatever happened to Ronald Regan's Star Wars program.... ?
