Lock him up and give his supporters a free one-way ticket to Russia.

Biden?

They seem like they would be more at home there. Maybe Russia can then give their prize asset asylum.

No, we are wondering why we are in Ukraine.

The Dems haven't been involved, and this wasn't an attack.

And the Grand Canyon is a myth.

Trump committed crimes and now he is paying the price.

By Democratic Biden supporting operatives.,

It won't happen to them,

Until the Republicans are back in power.

Make him do community service with the people he disparages most, immigrants, the poor, LGBTQ, Hispanics and African Americans. Make him serve these groups and deal with them face to face. He just might learn something and maybe even gain a teeny tiny bit of humility.

You're making the assumption that everyone in these groups thinks the same way, and obviously untrue. In fact there's a growing number of people in all these demographics, most notably among the Black and Hispanic populations, who are shifting their votes either to undecided or to Trump. So your proposal could end up putting Trump in direct contact with people who'd be overjoyed to meet him in person.

I would also have him spend a couple of weekends scrubbing the floors and bathrooms of the Lower Manhattan Courthouse, with an African American supervising him. No reporters, no cameras.

We all know the "No reporters, no cameras" bit would be impossible. And you can bet Trump would make mileage out of it, regardless of how truthful or otherwise his anecdotes from the experience would be.

But thanks to the Dems they once again opened the Pandora’s box to the same attacks

The Dems haven't been involved, and this wasn't an attack. Trump committed crimes and now he is paying the price.

happening to them in the future,

It won't happen to them, because they don't commit crimes. But if they do commit crimes, I'm more than happy for them to pay for it with convictions.

huh? Then there are no would be no “federal” elections at all then??

then why is there a “Federal Election Commission”?

5th grade civics called, it’s for you, pick up on line 1.

The FEC doesn't run elections. Period. Full Stop. States and counties run elections. The FEC investigates accusations of candidates violating Federal election laws, primarily violations of campaign finance and reporting regulations, inaccurate, late or fraudulent reporting and the like.

But the FEC does not operate the polls or count the votes. In fact they have no involvement in the vote count. That is entirely up to the states and every state has different laws on how the vote is conducted, how the votes are counted and how the results are certified.

Yeah, none of that crap will be happening. But thanks to the Dems they once again opened the Pandora’s box to the same attacks happening to them in the future, so this is the new norm. They just couldn’t settle this at the ballot box, they had to use the justice system to get this guy and now it’s backfiring big time as we all knew it would and the more they try to pound this guy, the more popular he gets.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

It's time to dump Trump and get a new Republican presidential candidate? If you look at the careers and lives of people around Trump ruined. Also, Trump is bankrupting himself and people like Rudy and My Pillow Guy. Republicans, do the right thing. Get a different candidate. How about Mitt Romney or someone?

0 ( +4 / -4 )

When Trump is back in office will the left think the system is just?

If he wins the election he wins the election. Simple. People will be unhappy if, like his 2016 win he lost the popular vote but won the Electoral College Vote but like 2016 and 2000 with Shrub, people will have to accept the result. There won't be any violence.

I frankly do not think he will win but if he does he does.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

My strong suspicion is that Judge Merchan will sentence Mr. Trump to the maximum allowable fines and probation during which he will be required to perform a few to several hundred hours of community service. Make him do community service with the people he disparages most, immigrants, the poor, LGBTQ, Hispanics and African Americans. Make him serve these groups and deal with them face to face. Because you’re completely in thrall to Trump. Any level-headed person can see that the trial was fair.

When Trump is back in office will the left think the system is just?

or (more likely) he could go to prison and not be president.

Neither will happen.

No matter how many times this is repeated, it is still 100% pure baloney.

No, it’s 100% fact. Take the blinds off and look at the players.

Trump is a con man. Always has been. And now that he’s a convicted FELON, he’s conning his supporters in a whole new way.

Whatever, the diatribe sounds like desperate whimpers of a sheep heading to the slaughterhouse. Proud to vote for the convicted felon who’s still alive and kicking.

And using that old dog whistle to ready his cult mob, pitchforks and scaffolds and all.

The libs are always ready, so much so that they have proven how far they will go. They will burn down a church or a police station, or run the streets and hoping they can find unarmed conservatives to beat down, one of them thankfully managed to wield a firearm and blow half the arm of his Marxist attacker. Ok, so both sides are ready.

A threat.

Seems like when Schumer told Trump to be carful on how he deals with our intel agencies they have many ways of getting back. That sounded like a threat back then.

Trump was convicted by a jury of his peers,

In NYC one of the bluest states, a state that didn’t vote for him.

who were vetted and approved by Trump’s lawyers. The only people wishing for vendettas are you and your MAGA pals.

You believe that, I believe that Adam Schiff and Swalwell are secret Republicans and Pelosi is a Fox News contributor

Ramsey's Kitchen

Yep, Democrats have weaponized the justice system against their political opponent.

Wild accusations. We may believe you, if you were able to back it up with evidence. But you can't.

Whatever happened to the land of the free and a beacon of democracy.

It never went. If Trump is elected president, you can kiss that goodbye.

This whole circus is backfiring on the Democrats big time. It's resulted in ordinary people digging into their packets and making huge numbers of small donations to the Trump campaign. And the donations will only continue to grow as the Democrats double-down on their dastardly deeds - they can't help it.

And according to lawyer Robert Barnes in an interview on the Tom Woods Show a couple of days ago, the Democrats' case against him was built on a concoction of BS (my paraphrasing) in an attempt to get Trump by any means necessary.

It’s really a shame this one never went to law school. They’d have been an unending source of mirth for their fellow students and professors alike.

Violations of federal elections can, in this case are also violations of state election law, Perry Mason.

The victim is undoubtably the US system of Justice system from political corruption, the danger that future politicians will not weaponize the judiciary to interfere in the democratic process.

This is truly an appalling precedent. Trump jailed to remove him from campaigning.

I enjoy seeing how desperate and defeated our MAGA friends here are....arguing that Trump's convictions make him "more popular" and that sending him off to a cell will just "make him stronger"....

With that tortured reasoning, Dave DePape, the MAGA-warrior who took a hammer to 82 year old Paul Pelosi, will be an icon...when he's released from his cell IN 30 YEARS...

Quite the opposite.

After Trump's convictions, MAGA supporters were threatening violence and riots, again. (Jan 6).

Don't the Republicans regard themselves as the party of law and order?

Or is this another principle that can be twisted and disregarded when the time suits? Do they really have any principles at all?

Yes, and despite whatever tricks the left do, it’s not working

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

All the usual suspects saying all the usual stuff. But this isn't usual. The debate isn't if Mr. Trumps fans will vote for him but can he legally run. I personally don't like him or Biden but we are treading on dangerous ground with this verdict. Rationally, without taking sides of the personality, we should be discussing the ramifications of the candidacy. The right might not like it, but when the question of about a Democrat they won't be able to stop that one, either. Clearheaded debate, not insults and tirades, should be what we do about the issue.

As self-reported, so there’s that.

As of this moment he’s spent most of his donations on legal fees. He has no on the ground operations. He has no money.

And he is still way behind with no real possibility of catching up even IF the tech bros decide that Fascism isn’t really that bad.

Oh, and of that (claimed paper wealth of) 7 billion, he’s never spent a dime on his own campaign. He did LEND 10 million the first time around and made sure he was repaid via rube donors.

Amount spent by Trump electing Trump: $0

Well, Trump is a convicted felon now. Some argue that it helps him, but they've got to be trying to fool themselves if they actually believe that.

No, it looks like the Republican Party has placed their bets on the wrong candidate. A jury of 12 different U.S. citizens from the state where the crimes were committed decided that Trump was guilty. It wasn't rigged as Trump claims, but quite fair. The only rigging going on has been vice versa, and it's Trump who's been the one trying to rig things so that things would fall his way.

*37 countries prohibit the entry of convicted felons into their countries. And that even includes the United States.*

jail, which is only a slight possibility in his case, would be nothing compare to a years-long prison sentence for the espionage act crimes

Normally I would agree, however…

Given that the crimes were intended to effect the outcome of an election, that the convict treated the court and the process with such disdain, and given the total lack of remorse on the part of the convict, I don’t think a sentence of incarceration is out of the question.

many. They have statues and holidays and were elected to political offices post conviction and became champions.

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Trump needs to be incarcerated. He has no sense of truth, remorse, acceptance or respect for law and order. Being afraid of Trump supporters as a reason to not apply the rules of justice as applied to others is simply giving in to the threat of violence. Being afraid of retribution is exactly what has brought this country to where it is today.

The more we give in, the more Trump demands and we have done this since 2016. It has "normalized" actions and behavior that would have been intolerable in the past, even among Republicans.

If the brainwashed MAGA crowd want to try and overturn our justice system, let them. Like the Jan 6th insurrectionists, they are acting against the United States, They are domestic terrorists and should be treated and prosecuted as such.

And for those who are mentally challenged enough to want a convicted felon to be the next President of the U.S., how is Trump suppose to fulfill his duties? 37 countries prohibit the entry of convicted felons into their countries. And that even includes the United States.

150 million right here!

Numbers as reported by Trump Campaign. Very likely as accurate as his self-reported crowd sizes.

This from the one who proudly admitted to being defrauded by Steve Brannon’s “We build the wall” grift.

lol.

of course there will be a reckoning,

Sounds ominous.

a bit different what you might imagine,

What do you imagine, then.

but significant to worry the left.

If the Republican are sincere in their desire to work for the country and do what's right for the public why should anyone be worried?

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time, felon.

What crime?

The THIRTY FOUR he was unanimously convicted of by a jury of his peers.

Do try to keep up.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Trump certainly wasn't.

not even an appeal yet so how would you know? It’s all so premature cause you need it for the coming election. After that, you don’t even care.

got a long way to go here for history to decide this. Took decades for other people to be vindicated.

-12 ( +7 / -19 )

Trump was convicted by the State of New York. Not the Federal Government.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

To republicans, the people who don't blindly support the criminal candidate deserve violence. Weird how the family have no problem with him sleeping with a porn star and covering it up

Trump warns jail time could be 'breaking point' for supporters

I would argue that the Overton Window of the 'breaking point' of the American electorate has been distorted.

It used to be along such lines as slavery, gross abuse of civil rights and unjust wars.

Making up pretenses for war in 2003 and bailing out bankers for their malfeasance while many were rendered destitute brought about some pushback but changed little.

But the delusion of MAGA is a powerful drug that may drown out such realities.

Cause no one has EVER been falsely convicted and imprisoned for political purposes by a corrupt regime, right?

Trump certainly wasn't.

3 ( +11 / -8 )

Yes, from the 1%, just like I said. Yet you just claimed it's "mathematically impossible." Thanks for proving my point.

150 ADDITIONAL million. another story.

Not included in the 52 million in 24 hours from his regular people supporters.

-11 ( +9 / -20 )

NOMINATION

The 32 he was found guilty of.

Which was? You are the fact checker around here.

34 counts of falsification of business records in the first degree. Try to keep up.

Many Republican voters have doubts about electing a felon. He goes into the election as a felon and his appeal will be after that.

As for your veiled “nice country you’ve got there. It’d be a shame if anything happened to it.” threat: bring it, sweetie.

Half the country…yeah, it would be a shame.

(And they seem to lose a LOT!)*

Biden’s numbers are sickly bad so…

Trump’s goons talk a good game but when there’s real consequences, they slink away became like their cult lord, they are cowards.

This is very different and the polls are showing that. When Republicans take back the White House and that will happen at some point, of course there will be a reckoning, a bit different what you might imagine, but significant to worry the left.

-16 ( +7 / -23 )

"I'm OK with it," Trump said, but added he was not sure the public would stand for it.

Fact Check: False. He’s about to crap himself with fear of being sentenced. That’s why he’s hinting at political violence.

150 million right here! Trump going out to Silicon Valley this week to get lots more.

150 million right here!

Well, she wasted $90 million last time, why not?

Trump going out to Silicon Valley this week to get lots more.

Not going to get much money from the tech bros...

"She's fine, but I think it's very hard for her," Trump said. "She has to read all this crap."

And know that her husband betrayed her so utterly.

Melania Trump has barely engaged with her husband's current White House campaign, failing to appear at a single Trump rally, and rarely joins him in public.

I'm not surprised. She hate the man. She most likely will vote Biden in November.

convicted felon gonna win from jail if he has to.

Regular Americans? Lmao try the 1%, and gullible idiots that make up his base.

Nope, the gullible ones are the ones that are right now acting fearful and whining about the him saying "breaking point."

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

Trump donations end up in his pocket.

8 ( +15 / -7 )

Trump is thinking about or worried about jail time. He won't be jailed.

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

Only 1% of the American people donated an amazing 52 million dollars in 24 hours….?

not mathematically possible.

Lol yes it is. I'd love to your proof.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

Americans donated 52 million dollars to a convicted felon in just 24 hours to support him do the job instead.

Fools and their money.

And none of it is going to his election campaign. It’s all going to pay his legal bills.

TikTok, indeed.

14 ( +19 / -5 )

TikTok? The young people love Biden, right?

Trump joined and has 4 times as many followers now as Biden in just 24 hours.

man of the people.

Do you not support any convicted felons anymore?

and just pretend every verdict that hasn’t even entered the appeals process as just?

-19 ( +10 / -29 )

"I think it would be tough for the public to take. You know at a certain point there's a breaking point," he said.

This isn't the threat Trump thinks it is. Violence over any possible prison prison would just remind people have awful the MAGA movement is, and how little respect they have for rule of law.

Joe Biden is so poor at his job that regular Americans donated 52 million dollars to a convicted felon in just 24 hours to support him do the job instead.

Regular Americans? Lmao try the 1%, and gullible idiots that make up his base.
