Amen to that, and a whole host of other reasons.

Thank God!

Well, looks like he'll get his own vote since you can't have many more "problems" than facing four indictments with 91 charges - with your admissions and self-confessions on tape and your two closest lawyers cooperating with prosecutors against you...
Trump should be "filing" for the corner cell at Leavenworth - given that's where he'll be in Nov 2024...

And?

Hopefully the Republicans will go with someone a little more sensible, like Haley. I still prefer Biden, but it scares the hell out of me to think of 4 more years with Trump.
bass4funk
And nothing else to add.
She’s not the front runner and it not about who the Dems want, Trump leads so he will be the nominee, but I can see Haley as a VP for sure.

A few comments from Trump while in New Hampshire. Someone want to translate this into something that shouldn't make us all worry about Trump's mental state
1) Upon realizing a spelling similarity, “You know how you spell us, right? U.S. I just picked that up. Has anyone ever thought of that before? I'm reading and said us. You know, when you think about it, us, equals U.S. If we think of something genius, they will never say it.”
2) Talking to Republican's, ""You don't have to vote, don't worry about voting. The voting, we got plenty of votes."
3) Upon being asked about Sidney Powel and whether his conversations with her would or wouldn't be covered by client-attorney privilege, "No. We did nothing wrong. This is all Biden… I was never indicted. You practically never heard the word."

He also said he couldn't buy any bread since he left his ID at home...

Comparing oneself to Mandela. Imagine the stars from the music world who would be lining up to record a free 45 protest song, you know the rockettes, toby keith and errr, umm, ahem.
Blacklabel
Isn’t Chris Christie winning New Hampshire?

Nationalist authoritarianism has many forms. Take a look at Turkey, the Philippines, Russia, Hungary, India, etc.
You know, countries whose strong man leaders are admired by Donald Trump. He wishes he could be like them.

That guy (Trump) is sure a laugh. He doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. And, the gall of him to compare himself to Mandela. Please.
itsonlyrocknroll
I would guard against comparisons with Nelson Mandela....
From 1964 to 1982 Mandela was incarcerated at Robben Island Prison, off Cape Town.
That is close to two decades a political prisoner behind bars, some years in solitary.
I don't in all honestly believe Donald Trump would embrace political martyrdom in quite the same manner do you, golf links are few and far between in prison exercise yards.
Donald Trump would be close to 96 when he attended his free Donald Trump concert.
Trump vs Biden is going to be a one off event not to be missed for sure.

Another delusional statement, from the delusional failed insurrectionist and failed business/political loser. He's claimed he's clairvoyant, does he really think the majority, i.e the largest number of US Americans that vote, will vote for him. In the last election the majority clearly did not vote for him, regardless what some fellow delusional people in his US cult, and bots from totalitarian regimes and other paid extreme right stoges in the US and abroad want to claim.

The reporter then followed that question with another about Trump failing to keep his promise to build a border wall and have Mexico pay for it, and adding a colossal $7.8 trillion to the debt during his Presidency. Trump replied; *"No. We did nothing wrong. That was all Obama… I was never President. You practically never heard the word"*...

If ever there were a time when the world needed Trump, it is now.

Isn't Haley, the woman that the convicted sexual predator, twice impeached loser, called "Birdbrain"?
What a pair to support, the delusional one and the one he calls Birdbrain. Putin, Xi, the Ayatollah and the Gulf 'royals' would be so happy with those two further weakening, then eventually destroying the USA.
Strangerland
And do you think non-extremists agree with far-right sentiment?

If ever there were a time when the world needed Trump behind bars, it is now. There I fixed it for you.

Donald Trump wouldn't last a month on the Robbins Island that Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on. This is a man who has never in his life known physical hardship or physical danger. I doubt he's ever even mowed a lawn or washed windows.

The skills he demonstrated so that Iran and Hamas were not emboldened to massacre 1400 civilians and kidnap more than 200 people, some of them Americans.

Donald Trump is firstly a showman, I would contend one of a kind, to quote:
Trump faces 91 felony counts across two state courts and two different federal districts, any of which could potentially produce a prison sentence, (The Atlantic)
Now, only Donald Trump skin is thick enough to wake up very morning to such a prospect and then insight a anti-apartheid activist Nelson Mandela comparison.
If Donald Trump is the next Republican candidate, I would not bet against it, a Trump US presidential election rematch with Joe Biden would the ultimate political reality show on earth.
All the 21st century social media driven, roll up, roll up welcome to the greatest political show on earth where the highest stakes are on offer.
The Presidency of the most powerful nation on earth.
Nothing highlights such a surreal twilight zone anticipation of strange eeriness.

Trump and Mandela in the same sentence is like the clown and the elderly statesman.

*During his New Hampshire speech, Trump said he would have “plenty of votes”—enough that instead of voting, his fans should “get out there and watch those voters,” presumably referring to supporters of his eventual opponent. “You don’t have to vote, don’t worry about voting. The voting, we got plenty of votes.”*
https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-tells-supporters-don-t-220314668.html
And the Great Orange Oracle has spoken - he told his supporters to "not vote"....
So our Trump supporters here can sit back and relax in Nov 2024 - don't worry about the crowds at the polls - just turn on Fox and listen to them tell you about Trump's "landslide" win - as he is crushed...

Sigh. Iron Dome was designed to defeat a specific and narrow target set, namely ballistic missiles with speeds not much more than Mach 1 that fly predictable ballistic paths from launch to impact. It has no capability against anything that might be fired at the US. It can't intercept cruise missiles, the much faster ballistic missiles used by major armies (ATACMS, Kinshal, etc) or anything that maneuvers. The missile itself has no seeker. The fire control computer tracks the ballistic missile, predicts its path and fires an interceptor missile into that path timed to explode as the ballistic missile crosses its path. No fuse, no seeker and no means to hit a maneuvering target. Simple and inexpensive but very limited in its capability. For the stuff the Chinese, Russians or even North Koreans might shoot at the US Iron Dome is useless.

More like Satan comparing himself to Jesus.

He’s mocking Biden.
Lots of times Joe said it’s not necessary to vote for him:

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."
US achievements, it constitution, its space explorations, innovation, investment in entrepreneurial next generation skills and technical advancement.
Amazon, Google, Facebook, Apple, only in America, an undeniable fact, the envy of world.
UK has had its moments, literature, language, fish and chips, mushy peas, curry sauce. parliamentary democracy. Magna Carta Libertatum (Medieval Latin for "Great Charter of Freedoms") 1215
So I am dumbfounded US offers, with respect, a political choice between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Sorry, but I guess that is democracy, I guess you can't have it all.
u_s__reamer
Since Trump compares himself with Mandela, he should be happy to spend the next 27 years as a "martyr" in a supermax.
Mark
DISGUSTING, that's all.

Biden should be running circle around Trump, but he stuck in neutral, all you had doubt about Biden, your doubt were well founded

It seems to me that Trump is a financial criminal. It also seems to me that he commited war crimes and crimes against humanity as president.
However, this idea that Jan. 6 was an actual coup attempt and Trump was behind it is just crazy talk.
I would like to have a good and decent man for president. A Grover Cleveland would be nice. It seems RFK, jr. is as close as we can get.
But its more likely to be a match between criminals since the system is rigged. And the lesser criminal here seems to me to be Donald Trump, in part because the absolute corrupt abuse of the justice system to hound Trump (Kamala's idea?) tars the Biden Admininstration severely, as does the utter lack of a primary among Democrats.
It seems to me that once again, just as in 2016, people are underestimating Trump and its going to cost them.
Hard core Trump supporters seem to me to be a pack of brain-dead zombies who react to buzzwords out of Trump's mouth and cannot even comprehend full sentences let alone the issues. Yet, they are the closest thing America has to heroes right now.
All you Biden/Harris/former HIllary/Democrat supporters cannot see the forest for the trees on this one.....again.
Jeremiah
Anyone but Biden in the next U.S. presidential election. That country cannot survive another four years with him and his ill thought out policies.
ok1517
Yeah, sure, Donald, whatever you say!
Bragging about "grab 'em", instigating, avoiding (the draft), cheating (on his ex-wives), selling out (the US to the highest bidder), and so on. How can anyone really keep on supporting that traitor?
Maybe, just maybe, President Biden isn't the best, but definitely much better than that con-man Trump!

Only one of them is a man of honor. Mandela or Trump?
Kurumazaka 2
just when you think he can’t get worse…
any bets on when he starts comparing himself to MLK and Rosa Parks?

Oh, and MAGA world, which is it? Are you fighting Marxists or fascists? No, geniuses, they aren’t the same thing…

Trump compares himself to Mandela??? Donald is a total idiot.
He should be comparing himself to the end of Hitler's life. It's over Trump, the lies do catch up.

After the interview that Anthony Pratt gave to 60 Minutes Australia, Mr. Trump might not want to take his winning the New Hampshire primary for granite.
bass4funk
Not so sure, he last 9 years with the Dems throwing everything at him, so I would disagree with that statement.
How would you know? Lol
Again, you wouldn’t know that. But it’s easy for the left to judge when they have nothing to go on but pure drivel and hate. Best not to assume anything unless you know concretely.
Nibek32
Yikes, trump has become even more unhinged these days. Bad news and losing in court, plus facing down a lengthy prison sentence will do that to anyone I guess. He is sounding truly desperate these days for sure.

"Returning to New Hampshire to register for its presidential primary, Trump held a rally where he railed against President Joe Biden’s response to the Hamas attack on Israel and vowed to build an Iron Dome-style missile defense shield over the U.S."
Why would the US even need it?
starpunk
Rockettes? Those women? I don't think so.
Toby Keith who's in 'looove' with red Solo cups, Kayne West/Ye, Terrible Ted Nugent and Kiddie Crock and Ace Frehley. Those losers would be on the 'Free 45' benefit song.
Is it any wonder how even sickening trump can get? He already called himself the 'Chosen One', equating himself with Jesus Christ. Now this racist is comparing himself to an anti-apartheid activist and hero, while espousing, spouting and practicing hatred - against Hispanics, Muslims, Arabs, Jews, Native Americans, Orient/East Asian people, India subcontinent people, Haitians, Black Africans, Black Americans and more.
Anybody who votes for or supports this treasonous loser needs to get his/her head examined.

And he specifically promised that this "big, beautiful" iron dome will be paid for entirely by Putin and Xi...
Promises made, promises kept...

You have gone too many steps ahead.
In the small mind of a Trump acolyte, all that was heard was a vow to protect America. Questions such as "From what?", "At what cost?" and "Who is even threatening America?" require considerably more processing power than they possess.
Like I said above, buzzwords out of Trump's mouth. That is all they need to start screaming like a Nazi at a pep rally. And yet, we need these imbeciles to get rid of the Burisma profiteer and the racial sell out.
How horrible for America that Trump is step up.

And Bass, before you respond about me insulting the unspeakable travesties endured by the Jewish population of Europe, please take a moment to re-read the first sentence.
