Trump won't commit to peaceful transfer of power WHEN he loses

More appropriate title, in my opinion!

I hope he sticks to his guns. I look forward to seeing him being dragged out the Whitehouse by his ear like the bawling, spoilt man child he is.

What happened to Trump’s baseless claim that millions of illegals voted in 2016?

If Biden wins, will he repeat this baseless claim?

If he wins, will he repeat this baseless claim?

“We’re going to have to see what happens,”

We certainly are. The future of America hangs in the balance.

And it affects all of us, no matter who we are & where we are.

Brace for impact!

It doesn't matter the reality. The Repubs and Trump will say it is so and perform a coup on November 4th citing voting irregularities and an investigation is underway yada yada. The sycophants here will endorse is as well, as always

USSR broke up so not surprising the USA is about to. Hegemony is hard to continue.

It's creepy to see, hear and read people supporting Trumps words. They could be straight out of news reports from dictators in Russia, China, half of Africa and the Middle East.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Of course he won't. He made a big deal when he lost the popular vote in 2016, despite winning the presidency, that it is given that he will do something crazy if he loses the election.

He has said so repeatedly that he thinks he is owned another term just because of the way he has been treated. If he ends up appointing a Justice and Republicans win the senate, the word "authoritarian" won't be enough to describe another 4 years of a Trump presidency.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

He knows he's done.

Watch wannabe dictator try and become one after his epic loss in November. And all the scumbag followers cheer it on.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

By insinuating he might take unprecedented and unpresidential measures to hang on to power the blowhard is just winding up his opponents and tossing scraps of red meat to his rabid base. If he refuses to accept defeat, the cops will come for him and, as Trump himself encouraged them to do, they won't need to place their hand on that scraggly nest on his head when they put him in the squad car. If anyone is fool enough not to see through Trump's fake machismo and still believes his phony "strongman" shtick, they only need to see the clip of him scurry like a roach when he tried to cozy up to "Uncle Sam", The American Bald Eagle. No worry then, when Trump loses, we can all get a good night's sleep.

I dont get the jump to "wont commit to peaceful transfer of power" from "we are going to have to see what happens"

What other conclusion can we draw from "we are going to have to see what happens" as an answer to a question as to whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power?

He was asked to commit to something, and didn't. He won't commit.

its already decided because the media announced these place are overwhelmingly Democratic. just cancel the voting then. can we do the same for the overwhelmingly Republican states?

No-one suggested cancelling voting in these states, so I am perplexed by this reaction.

As for the main story, nishikat is looking more and more prescient. Odd that none of the other mind-readers and psychics that post on this website saw this coming.

During the 2016 election many Trump supporters (US and 'foreign') were direct in saying they supported him because he was going to 'take down US systems'.

Looks like Trump has succeeded, and now has become the establishment. He's joined forces with 'establishments' around the world made up of despots, oil barons and others in the global elite.

Meet the new boss, even worse than any of the old bosses.

Trump is trying to follow the dictator's playbook. If you win, it was fair, and if you lose, it must have been rigged. Also, he will try everything, even if it's illegal, to keep power. I'm not sure Putin will help him this time, but we never know.

Yeah, I think the military can escort this guy if he doesn't feel like leaving the WH.

But...

The orange man definitely knows how to play the game. I can see this getting bad.

He will probably rile up his followers to resist and I can see morons ( self righteously appointed citizens militia with guns) going to Washington and fighting security forces.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

I would not be surprised if he win again

I keep reading these reports and cannot quite reconcile the reporting with what he actually said.  He hasn't said "I won't accept the result" (as Hilary and others have) but rather has said that he will need to see how all of the furore around mail in ballots and the like pans out.

Those who think that he will "cling to power" if the result goes against him are indulging in fantasy.

Trump won't commit to peaceful transfer of power if he loses

“We’re going to have to see what happens,” Trump said Wednesday at a news conference, responding to a question about whether he’d commit to a peaceful transfer of power. “You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster."

I dont get the jump to "wont commit to peaceful transfer of power" from "we are going to have to see what happens"

"have to see what happens" is just implying that there could be fraud.

Was the same claim made against Bill Clinton and Gore when Gore lost to Bush because of hanging chads on ballots? I dont remember anyone alluding Gore of being less than peaceful, for questioning those election results. Seems a disingenuous tittle to me.

comes from the same line of attack as "refused to denounce" comes from when Trump just says he has no opinion on a topic or a person.

Strangely Dems are almost never asked these same questions by the media, so they dont have to denounce or dont have to take any poisiton at all. so they while seeing what happens they never have to say "going to have to see what happens". When they are asked they dont answer or deflect back to Trump.

Hey Joe, who is on your Supreme Court list? cant answer that, then goes off on a Trump tirade about why he cant answer about his own list.

Hey Joe, what do you think about packing the court, do you suppor that? (runs away)

I dont get the jump to "wont commit to peaceful transfer of power" from "we are going to have to see what happens"

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

strange to focus on the word concede when this is already out in the wild.

do not concede. under any circumstances. just keep on going until Biden wins.

Hillary Clinton tells Joe Biden not to concede election ‘under any circumstances’

‘I do believe he will win if we don’t give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is,’ former secretary of state claims

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Winners dont concern themselves with losing. That is a big part of why they can win.

Play to win, dont play to not lose. Thats what Trump is trying to teach these other hard headed Republicans. They always played to not lose or played until they were criticized or accused, then gave up.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

Then why cant the Dems win the election by 15 million votes?

Yes we could lose without cheating its true. But have you seen the Dem candidate? come on man!

The senate Minority represent 15 million more people than the Majority.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

The way things are shaping up, things are starting to go against Biden, especially as continued violent protests reflects badly on him and the Democrats who condones them.

But will Democrats peacefully accept the results if Trump wins with another upset victory?

The Democrats' minions will respond with massive violent riots throughout the country, and with the support of Pelosi, will overwhelm the Secret Service and forcibly remove Trump from the White House and declare the puppet Biden "President".

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Facetious, indeed, as Biden says. A sitting U.S. President says he wouldn't acknowledge the result of the election if he lost. What if he won?

Watching Trump is more entertaining than a real comedy. At any rate, Trump has admitted that U.S. democracy isn’t working, is always rigged and not far different from that of other countries, spearheaded by Belarus.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

just that the "result" wont be incorrectly tabulated, they say. Funny that they dont mention that the VOTES (that make up the entire result), will be incorrectly counted in the 5 states that have not prepared for this at all.

But thats ok, unless Biden loses. Then riot and lawsuit time. Never concede Joe!, say the Dems.

It’s unlikely that any chaos in states with universal mail-in voting will cause the election result to be inaccurately tabulated, as Trump has suggested.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

and he was correct, because she didnt win. same thing again. Isnt Biden the one already ordered to not concede when he loses. under any circumstances, ever?

But he also declined four years ago to commit to honoring the election results if his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, won

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

ah ok, so no need to even vote fairly then.

its already decided because the media announced these place are overwhelmingly Democratic. just cancel the voting then. can we do the same for the overwhelmingly Republican states?

Just more nonsense to fill up the media cycle to avoid Hunter Biden Moscow scandal and Mike Bloomberg buying felon votes in Florida.

California, New Jersey, Vermont and D.C. are overwhelmingly Democratic and likely to be won by Biden.
