Erdogan knows Trump will capitulate. He knows Trump can't stand up to other despots. Trump's even afraid of Lesley Stahl.
Erdogan continues to try to grow his empire while Trump oversees the fading of America's. While Russia and China continue to grow theirs.

Another rat jumps. Trump's ship is sinking.

Beat me to it, trump is both scared and awed by dictators and will do nothing.
He'll probably end up attacking Macron and French Fries.
Pukey2
Beloved despots and dictators turning on Trump. First Putin, now Erdy. What next? Kim ripping up those love letters?

In foreign affairs, Trump is neither feared not loved.

Erdogan knows Trump will capitulate
Trump's not going to capitulate on anything and Erdogan knows it.
Another rat jumps.
Erdogan's a rat?
Trump's even afraid of Lesley Stahl.
There's a difference between being afraid of someone and not wanting to waste any more time with someone. The president's time is precious.

So are some of your comments. The US president doesn't have to do anything. Congress will, and if the past is any indication, by overwhelming majorities. The US hasn't sold Turkey any military hardware for over two years already due to opposition in the US Senate. It was Congress, not the US President, that forced the matter on Turkey's F-35 sales. Mr. Trump was afraid not of Mr. Erdogan but of Congress when he signed off on removing Turkey from the F-35 program. My strong suspicion is that Congress will impose sanctions on Turkey and Mr. Trump will duly sign off on them.

I keep waiting to read somewhere in the defense press a little article that says the US removed its nuclear weapons from Incirlik Air Base, withdrew its combat aircraft and all its personnel either to Italy or Greece.
