Good. Shut down the constant onslaught of repugnance from rightists.

Now, do the correct thing and enforce your terms of service against Donny.

Good. Shut down the constant onslaught of repugnance from rightists.

As well as leftists, but yes, it’s a great thing.

Now, do the correct thing and enforce your terms of service against Donny.

Yes and lose millions of twitter followers, that would be a great business choice, cutting their own throats.

Dorsey said the company took the action to head off potential problems from "machine learning-based optimization of messaging and micro-targeting, unchecked misleading information, and deep fakes.”

Russians and their useful idiots in the global alt right have shown they’re clever enough to use "machine learning-based optimization of messaging and micro-targeting, unchecked misleading information, and deep fakes.”

Now Russians and those in the global far right trying to fuhrer undermine western democracies should create their own media platforms to use for spreading misleading information and deep fakes.

Facebook’s Zuckerberg allows them to use his platform, but most Facebook users are older, not the Gen Z market they want to reach.

The Russians are already actively involved in Instagram, arguably the most popular platform for young people.

Instagram deserves more scrutiny after Russian troll farm investigation

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said political advertising is not a major source of revenue but that he believes it is important to allow everyone a "voice," and that banning political ads would favor incumbents.

Someone should let Zuckie on the fact that there's a difference between allowing free speech and promoting libel on his platform. For the sake of the nation, he needs to learn it pretty darned soon.

Russia isn't undermining democracy, the people making these silly rules are.

I'm sure it's hard for those representing authoritarian regimes to understand there are still some private sector corporations that aren't controlled by a kleptocrat's regime. Those in paid-to-troll positions shouldn't worry about their career futures; there are still lots of free, for-profit press outlets where they can post.

Sometimes doing what is right requires taking a hit.

Good for Twitter and for Dorsey. Facebook is a tool for the Russians and the Republicans, that is so clear.

Solution, drop Facebook. If that happens in numbers Zucks will pay attention and wake up him out of his libertarian fantasy world he lives in like so many in the Valley that have not really become adults yet.

Throwing down the gauntlet to FB, That's some move and probably for the best.

Given the many, many false accounts and troll farms out there, not to mention the misinformation from certain parties - it's not a moment too soon.

For too long, the elite have held sway. Time to level the playing field.

Brilliant.

And let's not forget certain US expat conservative groups that are actively encouraged to target comments sections around the world.

Yes leftists just figured out the tweet of hero dog getting awarded the Medal of Honor is a meme.

jim Acosta tweets that it is confirmed that the dog is not at the White House. It’s not social media fault that people can’t do critical thinking.

Twitter's decision to ban political ads is the sensible thing to do to control the river of manure.

Lies & slander have to be checked. Next, Twitter really needs to do something about Trump and the river of manure he produces on it.

If Twitter wants to ban political ads then they should ban all political ads, and all of the twits that contain political speech. No more political discussions on Twitter. That is the only way Twitter can avoid future claims of political bias.

I wish TV networks would ban political ads too.

Willing to kill free speech too just to prevent Trunp from winning.

Just can’t seem to find a candidate on the Dem side who is actually better? Sadly only Biden and Bernie supposedly beat him and Biden dropped 11 points in one month. Oops.

That is hysterical. The biggest problem that haters seem to have is that they have lost their ability for critical thinking. Once the Democrats have created all of these hate groups, how do they expect to rein them in? Or do they? The haters who are paid to hate will easily be able to re-focus on some other target, but many of the other haters seem to be suffering from some form of PTSD, which will much more difficult to stop, or control.

Nothing should be banned or blocked except by the individual user. And the individual user should be given the proper tools to handle that task.

Now, if they want to put a warning label/tag on things, I have no problem with that. Simply give the end-user a software filter that will simply block anything with the tags they have checked to be blocked.

As for myself, I want to see it all and decide for myself. I have seen far too many liars, trolls and scammers to trust anyone to handle any form of banning or even blocking censorship whatsoever.

I'm not a Twitter (or Facebook) user. Do users have the ability to block ads as opposed to other people's comments?

Good for Twitter users. Who needs more spam (good or bad)?!

(Bad for those who made plans to use Twitter for lies tho)

Uhh . . . That's not how it works. Banning Donny doesn't magically make his twitter followers disappear, they still have their twitter accounts.

Willing to kill free speech too just to prevent Trunp from winning.

As usual, you are making things up and ascribing them to liberals so you can argue. Free speech prevents government action, not the actions by private corporations.

You guys are all over the place regarding polls.

I’m not all over the place, I quoted one poll.

here’s another saying impeachment isn’t supported in the swing states.

They still support the inquiry though

In Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona and Florida, more voters say they do not support impeaching and removing the president by between 6 and 11 points in each state. However, voters support the inquiry by between 4 and 13 points in each state.
