shoot to the legs, don't kill people, otherwise you are the same.

Reports of Psychological problems to follow.

Sad, but I guess America isn't the only country that has a so called problem with guns....hmmmm....

bass4funk... not classy to compare yourself to Germany. Nobody compares in the slightest to the USA when it comes to gun violence. Outside of the USA, gun violence is a tragedy. Inside, just another day. But this isn't about you, so do us a favour

Islamist, Jihadi, Psychological problem; interchangeable terms!

shoot to the legs, don't kill people, otherwise you are the same.

And if you miss, what with legs being a small possible fast moving target, or don't hit any major parts of the legs then you still have a functioning attacker. That is why nobody is trained to aim at legs, or arms or hands. Training is to hit center mass, the torso. Biggest target, lots of vital organs, quickest and surest way to neutralize the threat.

From AP: "Iraqi citizen, 37, .....was known to them because of various offenses...."

So deport him. If Germany is unable or unwilling to deport these people, or at least jail them, it can expect more violence in the coming years.

Why even bring America into this? Are you trying to show America doing something right? 1 gun incident vs thousands a day? You might not make a distinction between the numbers but maybe it's about time you did. Why compare guns and knives? They don't compare. Guns have a single purpose... Killing... Knives have many purposes.

shooting a gunman in the leg ( supposing you are able to do so) doesnt necessarily stop him from continueing to shoot and kill.

As for this incident; it's not terror related. It's a fallout between people in the club. The shooter was a Kurd. Kurdish people can be one of several diffferent religions, btw.

kurisupisu, but just think how the fabric of german society has been so enriched!

Isn't multi-culturalism wonderful?!

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Multiculturalism is wonderful and it does enrich societies. Otherwise you wouldn't be living and working in another country, would you?

Yeah; criminality. Yeah; terrorisim. But only a small percentage of the greater movement of humanity across the globe. Mankind is inherently nomadic and has always benefited from trading and learning from each other. Not to mention loving each other.

When you finally look at someone without hating them; that's a sign that we're succeeding as human beings.

Black, brown, white, whatever color, creed or football team you follow - we're all in it together. The real "enemies" are the governents and rampant capitalism that seeks to keep the ordinary man and woman downpressed and divided. And that culminated in conflicts and war. To keep the machine running at the cost of our humanity.

Germany or Japan. USA or Belgium. The sooner the fires of hate are extinguished (no matter what their origin is) the better.

Isn't multi-culturalism wonderful?!

Please explain.

Are you saying homogeneous, "monocultural" societies don't have crime or violence?

When you finally look at someone without hating them; that's a sign that we're succeeding as human beings.

Tell that to the jihadi's.

Are you saying homogeneous, "monocultural" societies don't have crime or violence?

No, not necessarily. However, it cannot be denied that conflicting cultures cause stress and conflict. Particularly if the cultures in question have different value systems. For example - individual rights as opposed to group rights. Until recently Western nations taught their people that each individual has worth. In the Middle East, individual rights are very nearly non-existent. As Western nations moved towards identity politics, individual protections have been on the decline in favor of group rights. This has caused internal tensions that have only been exacerbated by mass influxes of immigrants from disparate cultures as we have seen under Merkel and the huge levels of illegal immigration into the US. A typical clash of values can be seen in the manner in which German women were treated during the 2016 New Year. Another case was the Rotherham child sexual exploitation scandal in England. What is most telling is that in both cases there was a knee-jerk denial on the part of multiculturalists to ignore the victims of the sexual assaults and hide what occurred from public scrutiny.

Tell that to the jihadi's.

Or the white supremacists, loyalists,or the Irish dissidents or any other tiny minority of those who would seek to cause divisions in the UK and Europe. It's very easy to focus on the negativity and to re-inforce it. People do it here in Japan, too. This hatred and mistrust of otherness. It's all so ironic, when you think about it for a moment.

Not all white westerners participate in the hatred, though. It would be extremely unfair to paint them as all promoting discord and animosity. Their online armies are mostly just that. The Copelands, Nairs, Breiviks out there, the aberrations, will never win in their quest to divide. Neither will the "jihadis".

Anyways, this is diverting attention from the nightclub shooting which was just a macho argument that boiled over. Like there's never been any arguments or fights in nightclubs before? Nothing to do with terrorism.
