warming up keep cold away ! sorry if it is of great concern for Japan.

Sounds like some dumb-ass in North Korea is going to get somebody hurt. < :-)

adaydream: Granted, North Korea is never NOT to blame for incidents such as this, and they fired first, but things seemed to be going SLIGHTLY better by way of restarting talks until that idiot Kim Tae-Young decided to let out the 'preemptive strike' talks. They certainly haven't helped the situation any.

A ratio of return fire at over 3 to 1 should send a good message to NK...
goddog
They should get used golf balls and some woods and fire those babies over the border. NOt as dangerous and more fun.

I bet Japan will try to get this base problem solved quickly with all that ruckus going on in the neighborhood.

North Korea wants America to invade. They want the World's Policeman to 'oppress' them with free elections, a free press, billions in aid, food, inoculations, and fast track visas;and should NK fail within five years to achieve what their southern neighbors have they can blame it all on America.

Would be nice. But Hatoyama is too focused on differentiating himself from the LDP through a series of mysterious mixed messages and confusing indecision and inactivity.

But the fact that Japan has not entered into a security pact with South Korea implies that Japan does not perceive the integrity of the Republic is essential for the security of Japan.

Firing live ammo into disputed waters is just plain dumb. Call it what it is, smith, and leave out the usual "but"...

The dear little pipsqueak must think his manhood is being slighted again. Better send in another shipment of top shelf booze. Hold the food rations, please.

I can feel very little sympathy for South Korea after the public comment by Defense Minister Kim, saying that the South should conduct a pre-emptive strike on the North in the case of an eminent (possible) nuclear attack. Just as NK is extending olive branches, to make this kind of statement is utterly crazy.

North Korea needs a 7.0 earthquake so Obama and the UN can take control. -Actually it seems the south is running out of land and the north looks too good to pass up now.

I think all you NKorea supporters ought to go live there. Anyone who stands up for the Pyongyang regime is supporting the continued oppression, starvation and misery of the NKorean people.

S Korea and N Korea are still at war. That is all simple. No wonder about this.

Hey koreas, keep your cool and have patience, take care of koreas.

I'm pretty sure North Korean is just eager to use their weapons before they reach the expiration date :-)

Olive branches? What olive branches? Is NK back at the six party talks? Have they resumed visits by families? Allowed the aid agencies to distribute food and medicine?
Just what olive branches are you talking about? The only time NK makes "peace" noises is when threats aren't working. Or the dear little jerk runs out of luxury items.

I disagree to your statement, as well as to its language.
