A more effective plan would be to stop the increasing popularity of sushi in China! :) Seriously, the Chinese are eating all of the ocean's fish. Now they are outbidding the Japanese for even tuna in the world market.

Poor Japan! Sushi is a spiritual experience. Non Japanese could never understand, it's similar to meat pies? God forbid the Chinese discover meat pies!!!!

Two thoughts:
Some one needs to kick the U.S. in the a to ratify.
I would like to see the IWC absorbed into this.

Get ready for Japan to complain about Imperialism and attack on its culture if you talk about overfishing.

Don't know what you've got till its gone. Mankind knows fish don't just magically appear from lala-land, so we should have learned from experience that once you drive something into extinction, its never coming back. When we make our own water undrinkable, we'll understand how damned stupid we've been when a bottle of drinkable non-toxic water starts to cost $400 USD a gallon. People are so much into the now, its going to hit us quick a few years down the road.
