There should be a U.N. resolution calling on Islamic governments to stop making everyone in the countries they control to follow Islamic law.

I guess Iran and Pakistan aren't considered "Arab" countries so they get a free pass on their inspections and weapons programs?

Current estimate that I read in the "Economist" is that it would take Iran 6 months to produce a nuclear weapon. Of course Pakistan has theirs, as does India. This isn't going to get better, it can only get worse.

Uh, the proof that Iran has been working toward the bomb is the very discussions going on right now: Iran doesn't want to lose even one of its thousands of centrifuges. And why would an oil rich country risk sanctions in the first place to develop nuclear power? That's your proof? Lol. Even Saudi Arabia is presently building 16 nuclear plant right now, and they are more "oil rich" than anyone. I don't see Israel or yourself claiming that they to are making nuclear bombs. Besides, you NEVER explained how you know Iran will have a nuclear bomb in a FEW months?? Just more talk, without any facts to back up your claim.

@nogardflow

You can't seem to decide whether the Iranian bomb is a good thing or a bad thing. Maybe that is because you are just trying to mindless criticize the US.

WilliB: The UN does have something to say about Iranian nuclear inspections. I guess you didn't actually bother to look before you made the comment, here is a link showing the UN's displeasure. www.ynetnews.com › Ynetnews › News

....and these clowns in the UN have nothing to say about Iran, with DID sign the NPT and then promptly proceeded to break it. Insane!

scipantheistDEC. 03, 2014 - 09:05AM JST (Wait a few months and Iran will have the bomb. Then this all will be blissfully forgotten.) Israel has been playing that broken record for over 25 years now. Please show us your proof, because I'm sure you have NONE! Nothing but talk, and promoting fear, to support Israel's agenda.

Iran is not on a march to acquire nuclear weapons, not in a few months or years or maybe ever. Although I wouldn't fault them for trying, as it seems the only thing that keeps America from attacking countries is possession of nuclear weapons. Israel will probably use it's nuclear weapons, because it is the only country that would get away with it due to America's backing.

Something else they'll completely ignore. International sanctions NOW!

...Ohh.

What a joke. The UN is irrelevant. Israel has not nuked Anyone yet all of the Arab nations around it, invade, conquer, genocide, practice slavery, child rape and the worst possible abuses on women imaginable. So UN where is the resolution to force Arab countries to free slaves, free women and stop cutting people heads off. The UN is a flat out joke. Just a bunch of politicians finding excuses to live off the misery of others.

Ironically, it was France which has made possible Israel's nuclear potential. The French helped design and build the Negev Nuclear Research Center at a time when American diplomats were being told by Israeli government leaders that it was only a textile factory.

What propitious timing for Netanyahu, who has just fired two moderate cabinet ministers and called a snap election in a further lurch to the right.

Israel has the world record for broken UN resolutions so I can guaretee they won't listen to this! North Korea, Pakistan, South Sudan, Israel and India are the only countries that refuse to sign the NPT, yet Israel is the only one that has NEVER allowed a single inspection of their nuclear facilities. I have to wonder why the US and Canada are always pressing other countries to join NPT but always make an exception for Israel?

"Israel is the only Middle Eastern country that is not party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons"

Meanwhile Iran continues its march toward acquiring nuclear weapons.
