No country that feels it has to spy on ITS OWN CITIZENS to this degree can possibly call itself either Free nor Democratic.

Guys, this is USSR stuff!

A massive step backwards with modern technology.

" federal agents are trained to “recreate” the investigative trail to effectively cover up where the information originated, a practice that some experts say violates a defendant’s Constitutional right to a fair trial. If defendants don’t know how an investigation began, they cannot know to ask to review potential sources of exculpatory evidence - information that could reveal entrapment, mistakes or biased witnesses."

Rule of Law? What's that? Oh, it's where those who are the Law make it up as they go. And here we were thinking it meant the Constitution was the Law of The Land. Not in USSA!

It is much easier if you can just "make up" the facts => I mean "parallel construct"

"I'm embarrassed and outraged."

A lot of good that will do you. You can't do anything about it, even if you're an American.

NihonShawn,

You quote theFu,

"I'm embarrassed and outraged."

And you comment:

A lot of good that will do you. You can't do anything about it, even if you're an American.

It doesn't seem like much, but theFu is doing something about it. He/she expressed his/her opinion. That's better than better than pretending it didn't happen or latching on to someone else's opinion or thinking there is nothing to be done about it.
