The US has got dronemania and thinks ir has an absolute right tobomb wherever it pleases. and then wonders why it is so hated in large parts of the world.

I think you weren't reading the article properly, they were targeting their LEADER specifically and rightfully so. Al Qaeda swore to attack the US at any given time, made it it's sworn enemy, seems like to me, that gives the US perfect ligitmate reason to take them out or do you think, they wouldn't kill us if they had the chance? Of course they would.

AKBfan: and then wonders why it is so hated in large parts of the world.

The US is loved in Africa more than anywhere else. You should try some original thought and leave the cut and paste aside for a few minutes.

Not too sure if the USA is actually loves anywhere in Africa, but I am sure Africans hate what Muslim terrorists are doing in Africa, etc...

Actually, El it is.

Just don't like the sounds of this.

Big things start with small beginnings.

Next thing you know, we'll have boots on the ground as, cough cough, 'advisors.'

Then more troops for 'stability.'

And so on and so forth, until we are mired in a never ending cycle of American deaths and violence.

Those who forget the past...

Bass,

Targetting their LEADER normally means bystanders get killed too. Point is that they do this as they please.

I don't think so. The US went in once already and it did not go well. I doubt anyone has the desire to go back.

Stay home and protect your own borders. No need to be thousands of miles away from your homeland and slaughtering people.

Cut and paste anti-Americanism will work most of the time, but not all of the time. You'll have to come up with some original thoughts on Africa or just avoid this thread altogether.

Well we kill so many innocent people it's good to kill a guilty one just for a little variety...If it actually happened... and it was the right person....Silver minivan...parked by the mosque. Yeah we got'em for sure. Maybe.

Then they should disassociate themselves from a potential target or learn to duck and cover. If these terrorists don't get by now, then it's all on them.

Lol, you actually believe that? You honestly think all 'terrorists' would kill all 'westerners'?

Wow, the fear spreading done by your government has worked like a charm. All that propaganda to justify wars, you just gulped it up and swallowed asking for more.

Drone attacks on anyone is pure murder. And your country, the US, is not held accountable, even if they slaughter your family while you are travelling overseas, no one would be brought to justice.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Of course the Somalian government has given permission. There is no Somalian government without their help.

Ok, so if there is truth in what you say, why join Al Qaeda? What is their mission? To spread love, joy and harmony across the world? The same goes for the Taliban and all of these radical affiliates. Show me a video, document or anything where these groups want a peaceful co-existence. Please, I'm waiting.

I have a question for you, one I can never get from liberals. Why is there no outcry to the brutal rape and slaughter these guys do in the name of Sharia? Female castration, public beatings, beheadings, women don't need an education after 14, chopping off limbs if you stole something, women needing 4 male witnesses when filing a rape report. Where is your anger to these barbaric brutalizations of innocent people? If you want to condemn someone, condemn Al Qaeda and the Taliban. They were the ones that called for a jihad, that's not propaganda, that's a serious fact.

I wish all America haters would just move to some war torn third world country.

As someone who used to work in a drone unit, I approve of this.

Only idiot fools under estimate terrorists!! Even Saudi Arabia, home of Osama bin laden, knows better than to take terrorist threats lightly!!

Oh, dont get me wrong, I believe there are some that are hellbent on destroying the US. No doubt about that. But what is the reason behind that?

The point I was trying to make is that the Govt has twisted a lot of peoples views about arab people, and its a shame. Same with their view on Sharia etc.

Show me a video, document or anything where these groups want a peaceful co-existence

There will never be a peaceful co-existence anymore, not since the drone attacks, not since 9/11, not since before that.

Unfortunately 1 side will eventually wipe out the other side.

Only idiot fools under estimate terrorists!!

I agree, but a bigger fool is the one who created them in the first place.

Please kindly elaborate as what those reasons are.

The point I was trying to make is that the Govt has twisted a lot of peoples views about arab people, and its a shame. Same with their view on Sharia etc.

Well, then the same could be said opposite about many, many Arabs view about the West and Israel and their views on Christianity and Judaism. That would be very fair to say, would it not?

There will never be a peaceful co-existence anymore, not since the drone attacks, not since 9/11, not since before that.

So you are admitting the jihadists and the radicals don't want peace. If they stop the plotting, the terrorization, the droning will stop, they keep it up, as long as there are factories that can make these bombs, these senior leaders will get one sooner or later. Do you know within the last twelve years how many top leaders were killed? If they want to continue they can, the US will do what it has to to stop radical Islam. The ball is in their court.

I agree, but a bigger fool is the one who created them in the first place.

I agree! So there is always time for these jihadists to renounce their violence, they won't win, ever, they do have that choice to change. But the US as a rule, doesn't negotiate with terrorists.
