Hopefully, no one from any of those seven countries will take advantage of current confusion and travel to the US to do harm.

Hopefully, no one from any of those seven countries will take advantage of current confusion and travel to the US to do harm. yet Saudi Arabia has a well-documented history of its nationals committing terrorist acts in the US , but theyre not included in the travel ban? hhmmm

Liberals destroy property and assault people (in gun-free zones, btw) over human rights "abuses" of temporarily turning back people arriving from nations that currently have no centralized governments in place but are oblivious to the fact the seven countries on the Obama administration-created restricted entry list murder gays, restrict women and don’t allow religious freedoms.
Oh, the irony. . . .
Strangerland
So 'liberals' doing something wrong justifies Trump doing something wrong?
And what's this about no centralized government? Iran has a centralized government. So does Iraq. I can't be bothered to look up the other countries.
Hmm, what was that my mom said about two wrongs?
Yeah, something about two wrongs...
SenseNotSoCommon
too bad you can't blow them away, Tex
thanks to whose military interventions exactly?
best not let people escape those horrors, then.
Yeah, really. Enjoy your date with Jesus tomorrow.

Tex still hasn't learned from his dangerous lie that Syrians shot up a mosque in Canada. Must be easier to rant about the shortcomings of "others" than look at his own failings.

"but are oblivious to the fact the seven countries on the Obama administration-created restricted entry list murder gays, restrict women and don’t allow religious freedoms."
Quite a few Trump voters aren't too enamoured with gays, a woman's right to choose or anyone who isn't a Christian.

Is this similar to the post in which you reported that 2 newly arrived Syrian refugees committed the murderous assault on the mosque in Quebec? That was fake news. Are you spreading more, or are you just continuing to try to keep hate alive.
The eyes of Texas and the world are upon you (and your fellow rightists) all the live long days now that you're man is in charge. It's y'all's turn to be the new sheriff in town. Hopefully the sheriff and his posse won't be crookeder than the Brazos. Adios.

The road to hell and "intentions" are intimately acquainted. The order was an infantile, man-tantrum designed to appease an embarrassingly narrow subset of the electorate. The order is illegal, illadvised, and stupid on virtually every rational metric.
President, my heinie. Trump continues to demonstrate that there isn't a damned thing presidential about him. He's an unqualified hack.

Excellent news. Rule of law may be returning to the US.
The people can fight Trump and they can win. But I am worried that protest fatigue will set in. Ultimately, Trump can only be truly reined in when the GOP discovers their gonads.

What is outrageous is Spicer using the term 'outrageous', very much unbecoming of a responsible White House spokesman. Responsible while we are at it is a forgotten concept by the current administration.
SenseNotSoCommon
Trump régime, not administration.
SuperLib
Spicer chastised a reporter for calling it a ban. The reporter responded by saying that's what both Trump and Spicer called it. Spicer responded by saying he and Trump were just repeating the words they heard in the media.

Spicer is an idiot. When are the media going to take him to task in public?
Madverts
Comical Spicer. Heh, it's obviously a deep-seated mental health issue, the origins as ever in these cases in his younger years.
*“‘I am writing in response to the article in the 26 April edition of the Voice in which my name was misspelled,’” he wrote to his school paper in 1993. While the paper had told him it had been unintentional, he believed ‘that it was a malicious and intentional attack’.”
The paper had called him ‘Sean Sphincter’.*

Like everyone in the Trump regime from the Orange Groundhog down, it would seem to be that the sphincter on all these nutcases can be found on the front of their faces.

After the various judges struck down Trump's order (based on the fact that it is clearly illegal), the White House announced that such an order was "Lawful and appropriate". Did they not listen to what the judges had to say? If Trump et al. wish to carry out such executive orders they will first need to see that laws are changed. Failure to do that will simply result in an embarrasing defeat for Trump and continue to provide hours of endless entertainment for the majority who despise him. For the president to suffer such a humiliating defeat so early in his term does not bode well for his staying in office very long.
SenseNotSoCommon
Trump has to have Kryptonite. Why was he sent to military academy?
SuperLib
If Trump or Spicer worked in your office they'd be written off as emotional crybabies. Different worlds, I suppose.
TorafusuTorasan
@madverts, good article--awesome that Spicer on CNN delivered a quote by Twinkle Sparkle from My Little Pony to defend how Melania Trump made a speech that sounded like a rip off of Michelle Obama.

Trump administration seems what a joke. Not much difference from North Korean leader's actions. Martial law (curfew 24 hours)will be announced if more people protest nationwide against Trump's everyday's executive orders.
Lizz
There is no way the Seattle judge's opinion will stand. All the Trump administration needs to show is that a legitimate government interest exists in securing the country from terror and that the law limiting entrants relates to that interest. It does not matter if the judge thinks it shouldn’t relate or won’t relate. That decision is for lawmakers to second guess, not the law interpreter.
TorafusuTorasan
Lizz, proving the existence of such a threat will be a high hurdle. The Cato Institute found only a miniscule number of the refugees to the USA from 1975 to 2015 to be linked to terrorism, with the last time any people in the US died at the hands of refugees being in the 1970s. By that measure, if America were only populated by refugees, it would have the lowest murder rate of any country. So where's the beef?

I don't think so. A Boston federal judge Friday issued a detailed 21 page decision citing a wide range of precedents to debunk the arguments against Trump’s Executive Order, It isn't even necessary that terrorism has actually occurred in this country before passing a law to try to prevent it from occurring in the first place.
TorafusuTorasan
Think deeper then. Do green card holders with corporate jobs, homes, and families in the US pose a threat commensurate with a blanket ban? Of course not, it is a joke to even consider that conspiratorial mumbo jumbo. Thankfully it is getting dismantled by the State Dept. as we speak.
SuperLib
Trump isn't going to like getting his ass kicked by a lady. In this case, Lady Liberty. But still a woman nonetheless.

Let's hope Der Spiegel got it wrong, then:
