this so-called judge . . . ridiculous

Any judge who disagrees with the enfant terrible POTUS must be publicly humiliated. Trump has tweeted. The judicial branch is meant to follow orders from the World Leader Pretend or get out of town. How presidential.

“I can’t think of anything like it in the past century and a half at least,” constitutional scholar and Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe told AFP.

Trump's supporters would claim that is because Trump has the biggest brain and mightiest mojo to ever occupy the Oval Office. And because the liberal mainstream media are not giving him a fair shake, and making up fake news.

“This ‘so-called’ judge was nominated by a ‘so-called’ President & was confirmed by the ‘so-called’ Senate. Read the ‘so-called’ Constitution,” tweeted California Democratic lawmaker Adam Schiff.

AMEN

Bass4funk: "liberals only care about being liked and loved"

You're saying this in defense of the most childish, insecure person in the world; you don't praise him unconditionally and you're fired. You praise him and kiss his butt and you get a good job. If he doesn't care, why do you guys still cry about the popular vote and believe three millions cases of voter fraud exist? Why are Republicans who clearly disagree with Trump too cowardly to say so, and those are do speak up have been let go? Why does Trump sacrifice sleep for angry Tweets about people who don't love him?

I don't think he cares about the polls and he shouldn't.

Then why does he freak out every time someone says something bad about him.

I'm just waiting for his tweet on the newest SNL sketch.

This is one of those times when Trump doesn't come off as Presidential material.

Trump is throwing meet to his supporters. Still waiting for millions of jobs to be created in the US. Maybe Japan is supposed to create most of them.

This is one of those times when Trump doesn't come off as Presidential material.

Are there times when he does?

As expected, we have just learned that Trump has lost in the appeals court. He is throwing a huge tantrum - just look at his latest Tweets! Senior cabinet members have been summoned to the White House. The Trump Trainwreck is gathering speed at such a rate that even the majority who despise him seem surprised. How deluded Trump seems to have been to think that the courts would go against the law and side with him. The news will be even more entertaining this evening.

Looks like the founding fathers got the system of checks and balances right.

"His approval rating has sunk to the lowest level on record for any new president."

Only morons are surprised by this, although denial and finger-pointing will kick in immediately. It's only taken him two weeks to be the most hated man in the world.

It's just Checks and Balances - at least we know it's still there (many countries couldn't even say that, with the Judicial Branch not checking the power of the other branches - for example, when's the last time we've heard anything about other countries' Supreme Courts? Many have been silent).

The Judicial Branch is equal to the Executive Branch, and it's the courts' job to determine if something is constitutional or not. (Just like when they struck down an Obama immigration executive order.) Executive Orders get challenged all the time - Trump is finding out that his EOs will be no different in that aspect.

At least for its part, just days after firing the acting Justice Dept deputy, the Trump admin is following the court's order while they're going thru the appeal process. This may likely go all the way to the Supreme Court.

The President has the power to control immigration, but it still has to be done within the constraints of the Constitution. The end does not justify the means. There could have been a way to do what he wants to do while staying out of Constitutional challenges, but this executive order was done in too much haste, without the consultations of the Homeland Security or the Justice Dept or even the lawmakers of the Republican Congress. So now it's being challenged.

Come on guys, give him a break. (sarcasm off) He just met the difference between running a company and running a "trias politica" country.

He lived on presidential orders so far, hasn't brought a single law to Congress, he's in deep trouble, he doesn't understand democratic processes, nor do his appointees, and that will lead to impeachment at some point. What else could happen?

He'll soon be writhing like a fish floated ashore.

It's the time the man starts to realize he is now the president of the United States of America. Not the sole dictator like leader of a business conglomerate.

Strangerland: "I'm just waiting for his tweet on the newest SNL sketch."

That's right! I forgot, when addressing bass4funk's obvious bizarro world comment, that Trump equates SNL with ISIS in terms of the threat they pose against him -- and yet bass honestly believes that Trump doesn't care what people think of him! hahaha.

A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed 48 percent of voters favored “suspending immigration from ‘terror prone’ regions.”

.....On Friday, a federal judge in Washington state put a temporary stay on the measures pending a wider legal review, prompting government agencies and global airlines to cease enforcing the ban.

.....Late Saturday, the Justice Department filed its motion to appeal. The case will now move to a federal appeals court.

This case is quickly winding it's way thru the U.S. court system. Step by step, court by court, until it arrives at the Supreme Court of the United States. A decision there will settle the issue except for those hate everything Trump does or says (but those are the people who are still greatly embarrassed that Hillary lost).

The relevant section of the INA is at 8 U.S.C. 1182(f): (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. I don't think he cares about the polls and he shouldn't. He just needs to focus on what he thinks is right for the country, liberals only care about being liked and loved. Define "Hippiedom"
