Fadavi said the American boats had shown “unprofessional acts” for 40 minutes before being picked up by Iranian forces after entering the country’s territorial waters.

What? Did the iranian captors get "mooned" and flipped off before they detained these sailors?

Unprofessional acts probably means not being respectful, shouting words they should not shout at others and the two things you said.

U.S. Navy sailors held by Iran are released with their boats

Yesterday, we all got an earful from the hysterical right wingers about how the feckless and weak Obama allowed Iranian to walk all over the US Navy.

And today, our boys and girl are back with us. And so too are our boats.

The appropriate hysterical response from such rudderless minds should be Obama is 10 ft tall and can break cars in half with his bare hands.

But somehow I don't expect we'll be hearing that from the right wing slime machine.

No, they will forget how the sky was falling, and console themselves with their lies, and bide their time. And they will blame Obama for their missing a parking spot and misplaced keys. Until the next OUTRAGE against US prestige. Where they will gnash their teeth, and froth at the mouth, and scream, yet again, the sky is falling.

And they will invent more lies. And believe them.

The Republican party must be destroyed.

LoL . . . Like the way Obama was crying like a little girl during his "anti-gun" speech the other day. Gimee a break.

And today, our boys and girl are back with us. And so too are our boats.

. . . says a guy who listens to Ozzy lyrics saying, "Yeah, Fairies wear boots & you gotta' believe me." . . . Like you've ever been out there on those waters.

Hopefully these 10 buffoons learned their lesson and will stop infringing on sovereign water/land. A good reason for Japan to keep their military domestic also. Lots of their garbage drones have been landing in Iran also. It seems like everyone has a working GPS except the American military.

It's great news that the U.S. Navy crew and boats have already been returned through the simple use of diplomacy with Iran. One of the Navy crew members actually apologized, saying it was our mistake, then went on to thank the Iranians for their hospitality & assistance.

Meanwhile you have extremist posters like Wc626, who would have rather taken these sailers back by military confrontation. In his mind, anything less would be considered weak.

These are just a few of his "off topic" topics from yesterday.

Saddam invading Kuwait, the Iranian nuclear deal, Hezbolah, Mullahs, Lebanon, Isreal, Russia, liberals, "don't ask don't tell" Obama's relationship with Bibi, Saddam, and now he's on about the gun control debate.

What's next Wc626?

The only thing we know for sure is that the US Navy just got humiliated in front of the whole world.

Exactly BB. Does not everyone see the "shame" on their faces. The iranians didn't have to take them into custody. Coincidence? On the eve of the speech. Doesn't matter. The iranians, especially the republican guard, love to humiliate the US.

Sanctions will be lifted. Iran know they'll be in the safety zone, giving them more leverage against the administration. Thanks obama.

The sailors were nonetheless allowed to make contact with the U.S. military based on Iran’s “responsibilities and Islamic mercy”

Islamic mercy. We don't see a lot of that these days. And I wish they'd leave religion out of it.

The americans were humiliated by iran.

Um, a boat drifted into their waters. The soldiers were detained and released less than 24 hours later. At the end of the day it turned out to be a less than sensational story. But it is interesting to watch you prop up Iran's status so you can stand behind them while they attack Obama in your imagination.

You missed the highlights. American sailors with their hands behind their head, down on their knees. On their own boats. Their boats searched and seized. That was humiliating.

You are a part of the minority party so your vote for President is mostly useless

Democracy is good thing. Too bad obama did NOT lead and support the US military from the front, but rather from the rear.

The Americans entered Iranian territorial waters. The Americans would (rightly) do the exact same thing if ships from an unfriendly nation sailed into American waters. If it's humiliating, then the US navy should ensure it doesn't do anything to humiliate itself. This one isn't on the Iranians, it's on the US.

Wait, you mean the Iranians didn't offer the American soldiers wine and cheese while refusing to search them after going into Iranian waters? Come on, admit it. You loooooove using Iran and Russia to go after Obama. I think you'd lick their boots if they would do anything that could be perceived as making Obama look bad.

Assume you mean the Revolutionary Guard, as in the IRGC, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iran had the Republican Guard (now defunct). Guess it's a bit new and confusing for you and, now that our guys have been released in less than a day, really disappointing.

It's just hilarious and so transparent the disingenuousness, the bad faith that the Republican right and Obama-obsessed have in trying to make this an Obama failure. I think they'd have been happier if Iran had decided to detain the our sailors indefinitely.

In the end, they're left so desperately trying to salvage a political win out of this. Pathetic is the word that come to mind.
