U.S. Pacific Fleet shrinks even as China grows more aggressive

China looks unlikely to be any more successful in dethroning U.S. from global leadership than Japan and Russia were. This is partly due to limits on China’s ability to continue advancing. China’s disputes with neighbors over the disposition of minor islands and reefs in East and South China Seas shows how little real potential for growth in territories the way other western powers have. Unfortunately, they are so dependent on offshore resources, markets and investors to keep its economy growing that it can’t run the risk of really scaring its trading partners.

Actually U.S. worrying about WWIII they know if China still act like that it will probably leading to WWIII.U.S. want to avoid this situation so they wanna block China's any act expanding on South China sea.

Ronald Reagan once wanted a "600-ship Navy". This proved to be extremely cost-prohibitive especially once you figured-in the cost of manpower and logistics. Had they been able to attain that number, then MAYBE they might have been able to adequately cover the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. As it is, the navy has to play "Shuttle Navy"... moving resources from theater to theater as each brush fire ignites.

Of course the US would worry about China possibly being able to disrupt sea traffic in their own backyard and whatever if the PLA is there. It's not like there's any reciprocity at all here. There's simply no possibility that USN presence in Asia should worry China, no sir.

Worry China? Gee, what a great plan it would be for the US to attack China at this point, 60 years after the Korean war. After normalizing relations and entering a massive trade relationship which has built China into an economic behemoth, obviously the US is now planning on attacking China. Because that makes sense.
