The prattle between Russia and Trump is to help Trump deny complicity with Russian interference with our election. The real issues they all care about is oil - and the relationship Russian oligarchs develop with American fat-cats, and the U.S. government's support to proposals in that arena. Trump is only useful to Russia in that lane - the rest of it is for show.

@CrazyJoe

Adding to what you said, Trump also has stock in the company that supply some of the equipment for those tomahawks. They got a stock price increase after that. His own personal business interests are intertwined.

Unfortunately, most Trump voters don't care how terrible he is as president or how much he lies to them because they just want to feel good about being on the winning team.

President Obamas success constantly reminded them of their own personal shortcomings.

The U.S. has said its Syria strategy centers on persuading President Vladimir Putin to stop supporting Assad.

What a dumb strategy. It hurts my head it's so dumb.

The GOP is going to learn the hard way that there is no easy answer for Syria and all of their statements about Obama can now be applied to them.

Still looking for Gold nuggets? LOL

The real issues they all care about is oil

Which is very important.

And your proof of that is......

President Obamas success constantly reminded them of their own personal shortcomings.

Whoa, huh? Come again????

Unfortunately, most Trump voters don't care how terrible he is as president or how much he lies to them because they just want to feel good about being on the winning team.

No, that would be the thinking of the looney left, the Trump voters just want the left to go aways and stay out of the presidents path and pray that liberals and especially the Democrats pull themselves together. stop whining and work with this president OR they can carry on and continue to look like cry babies and intolerant moonbats.

So it is all about money? Assad is a criminal. He sleeps in a different palace EVERY night. It certainly doesn't fit the "Its a wonderful life" scenario. Russia and China have created an dictators that they now are able to do whatever they want. China got the message, control Kim or open its arms to millions of refugees at the northern border. Russia obviously didn't learn anything from its domination of Afghanistan, but fortunately, nobody can run for the Russian borders. Yes, Americans want to be on a winning team, it just doesn't want to pay everyone's freedom and protection.

Russia and China have created an dictators that they now are able to do whatever they want.

This is moot. If we're going to start pointing fingers, there's a mile long list of dictatorships created and propped up by america to serve their agenda. Where are the sanctions for that?

"On Monday, the U.S. upped the stakes significantly by accusing Russia of knowing in advance of the chemical attack and using a Russian-operated drone to help cover it up."

Do Dems still think Trump is Putin's puppet?

Why would the Russians or the Americans be interested in Syrian oil

The US is not interested in Syrian oil. We have enough oil reserves and when Fracking resumes, we have a lot of oil domestically that we can get too as well. Russia on the other hand is a very different story.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Nobody is interested in Syria's oil reserves, but everyone is interested in the ambitious pipeline projects that have been proposed and will need to pass through Syrian territory to deliver oil and gas to markets in Europe. Pipelines that will replace Europe's dependency on Russian gas by connecting them directly with fields in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Assad has rejected these proposed projects because they will undermine Russia's interests in Europe, and his own survival. There is another proposed pipeline that would link Iran, Iraq and Syria with a terminal on the Syria coast. I believe Assad and Russia have expressed support this project, but the Gulf states and Turkey are opposed to anything that would give Iranian oil access to the mediterranean.

intolerant moonbats.

Yes, the GoP is well known for their tolerance.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

How come the US can talk about Assad being bad for dropping barrel bombs on civilians heads, when the US drops plenty of bombs on civilians of other sovereign nations? Don't take everyone else down with you again America.

Now that the EPA is gutted, fracking can proceed at reckless abandon, and people will be displaced as their water tables are polluted. The fracking and oil industry can pollute at will.

You mean the total opposite of the Republicans when President Obama was in office.

Unfortunately, most Trump voters don't care how terrible he is as president or how much he lies to them because they just want to feel good about being on the winning team.

Here is some science to back it up. (Blue lies!) LOL!

Yes, the GoP is well known for their tolerance.

So then what do you call what the Dems have been doing the past three months? Acting responsibly, rationally and passionately? ROFL

Now that the EPA is gutted, fracking can proceed at reckless abandon, and people will be displaced as their water tables are polluted. The fracking and oil industry can pollute at will.

How about staying off the far, far left progressive sites?

You mean the total opposite of the Republicans when President Obama was in office.

Well, Obama didn't want to work with the Republican congress, Trump and Ryan want to, but Shumer and Pelosi don't. Dunno, liberal benign mental tendencies.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

How about staying off the far, far left progressive sites?

Oh yea, the Washington Post and New York Times, which won Pulitzer prizes this year for poking holes in Trump's lies.

Your old news site, Fox, has earned how many for its biased journalism?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

So then what do you call what the Dems have been doing the past three months?

Beating the republicans at their own game.

Zichi,

In a recording of radio communication, a monitor named only as Hussam

But what are we to make of this "monitor" Hussam? Who is he? He is the only one who mentioned chemicals in the recording. Is it believable? In contrast, the article below paints a different picture. But again, how do we decide if it's true or not? I think many will believe what they want to be true. As all of it sounds quite insane and I'd prefer if none of it were true, I tend to believe nothing any more. Sad times.

Oh yea, the Washington Post and New York Times, which won Pulitzer prizes this year for poking holes in Trump's lies.

You just named two of THE most ideological sites that have taken it upon themselves destroy the Trump presidency, even msnbc isn't that far out, they're usually out to lunch all the time. Nice try.

Your old news site, Fox, has earned how many for its biased journalism?

From the 98% of the liberal driven media? 98%

Beating the republicans at their own game.

If you call getting a strong conservative on the SCOTUS, then it failed miserably. Go Trump!

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

taken it upon themselves destroy the Trump presidency,

Trump is doing quite well at destroying his own presidency.

One WP reporter won a Pulitzer for investigating Trump's foundation, and he found evidence of self-dealing with other people's money. The truth hurts. The only defense is calling reporters lefty for revealing the truth that Trump is a two bit crook and cannot be trusted.

The foundation has since been shut down because of the reporting, but it is still technically open because it violated NY Law. Good job WP.

I know, time to turn to discredit Clinton's charity for so-called pay to play. However, those are loose accusations (typical of the GoP when something doesn't stick), and their charity actually provides money to charitable programs.

Peace and then democracy is what we all should be supporting.

Save it zichi. There's alot of people on here that play way too many video games that give them an incredibly false impression of war. If only the warmongers on here could lead by example and enlist!!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Been stating it for 50 more years, peace and democracy.

Here here!!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump is doing quite well at destroying his own presidency.

Actually, that's not quite true. From this stupid Russian witch hunt to throwing landmines at every step he takes, the Democrats position is to defy anything that Trump does, so his getting quite a bit of help from the Dems (trying) to destroy his presidency. Good luck with that.

One WP reporter won a Pulitzer for investigating Trump's foundation, and he found evidence of self-dealing with other people's money. The truth hurts.

What truth, where are the facts, the documents, what's his agenda, is he a partisan hack? Yes, this is ONE WP reporter and who else can verify that these allegations...sigh are true?

The only defense is calling reporters lefty for revealing the truth that Trump is a two bit crook and cannot be trusted.

Then you must have really hated Obama, if you want to talk about the word "crook"

The foundation has since been shut down because of the reporting, but it is still technically open because it violated NY Law. Good job WP.

ROFL, wonder why?

I know, time to turn to discredit Clinton's charity for so-called pay to play. However, those are loose accusations (typical of the GoP when something doesn't stick), and their charity actually provides money to charitable programs.

Keep digging and by the way, they do my diamond-edge shovels, might have better luck with them.

They wanted Trump - they got Trumped

Syrian oil had nothing to do with this attack. Trump attacked because video showed people suffering and dyeing the result alchemical attack. US attacks concentrate on Syrian military facilities. Notice, there is no Russian casualties. It is obvious that Russians knew this attack. About oil, New oil lines are being installed vroom Canada to Texas. We don't know Texas oil will be exported or not.

@Toshiko

Trump attacked because video showed people suffering and dyeing the result alchemical attack.

Trump attacked because he thought it would distract the public from continuing to investigate his administrations connections to the Russians interfering with the Presidential election and his failures since he has been in office.

If he really cared about the Syrian people, then banning them from entering the US is odd, right? He bombed the airfield after notifying the Russians who in turn notified the Syrians. Syrian airplanes latter took off from that same field to continue bombing civilians. The majority of the 59 bombs hit the surrounding villages killing innocent people but no soldiers. Trumps attack was both inefficient, ineffective, and expensive.

Big Time Failure!

Nope, I call Trump having worse ratings in his honeymoon than did Nixon during Watergate a successful playing of the Republican opposition game.
