"Republicans continue to bash the administration’s handling of the attack last year on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya." Last I read it's not only Republicans. These families need answers. I want answers. It was a US Embassy attacked! Security of Embassies and the workers is crucial. And to know that the military was ready to go and not green light given to protect the Ambassador and staff is appalling to me.

Now for the tax scandal.....the plot thickens daily. Did Obama benefit?

A good first step on what is a long road. A lot more people need to be fired, and some people need to go to jail. Abuse of power should never be tolerated.

The IRS is the same organization that is going to enforce payments for ObamaCare. We should all question everything these people do.

Someone or few who gave the order for the foot soldiers to carry on. They disregard the law and abusing it for their political agenda. It is just the beginning, for finally team Obama seem to have a case of root canal in front of the press. All these events are serious violation of American value. More to com folks... when there is smoke, there might be fire!

I have to take back what I said about this being a good first step... The guy who was asked to resign? His term ends in June. So he's leaving, when he would leave. Not fired.

Conspiracy theories abound. There must be a fire?????

Why must there be a fire? Is out of necessity to be critical of Obama for the sake of being critical?

I for one believe him when he says he is disgusted.

This whole situation reminds me of Bush's comments about the Valerie Plame outing. He said that anyone in his administration that was responsible for divulging her status in the CIA was be prosecuted. I didn't believe him at the time, and sure enough Dick Cheney was wrapped up in the situation. Bush eventually threw Scooter Libby under the bus to protect Cheney and, thereby, went back on his word, again. Then there was the whole Iraq prisoner abuse fiasco. The soldiers executing Bush's policies on torture through contractors were held accountable because pictures of the sanctioned work leaked out. These are the actions of Republicans.

Bush paid lip service. He is a man brought up in a privileged family and is not used to answering to anyone. Obama has more scruples than Bush or the Republicans clamoring for an execution squad without due process.

Wait for the investigation before saying there is a fire. To me, it sounds like your typical overzealous governmental idiots decided to examine questionable applications a little too stringently. Since it was politically motivated, there is a corresponding political backlash.

Honestly, who in their right mind believes people at the IRS always play nice, are completely professional, and are politically disinterested?

That would be Obama and the Democrats who thought to actually put them in charge of enforcing Obamacare on the American people.

When It Comes to Health-Care Reform, the IRS Rules

Get ready for the Internal Revenue Service to play a dominant role in health care. When Obamacare takes full effect next year, the agency will enforce most of the laws involved in the reform—even deciding who gets included in the health-care mandate.

Just imagine how great Obamacare is going to be when it really gets up and going and the 'professionals' at the IRS .will expand their power of intimidation even deeper on the American people getting into their own personal health care decisions. This is just a preview of where President Obama and the Democrats have really been leading the country and it ain't a pretty sight at all.

Too much Rush Limbaugh type rhetoric here. Some idiot at the IRS was hard on the Tea Party, etc..ok. Did Mr.Obama instruct this idiot Steve Miller at the IRS to go after the Tea Party, the Republicans, the KKK etc...I really, really doubt it.

It's gonna get a whole lot uglier as more dirt on this comes out. This guy is just the first to go under the bus. He knew a long time ago, and only a POLLYANNA would believe his superiors weren't involved.

Mole it is right! Miller is finishing in June....just as he planned anyway.

I thought of a slick slogan that rolls these scandals of the month into one bite size morsel. "Its all about the Benghamins."

Has the statute of limitations related to endless pallets of taxpayer money given to everyone and his brother in Iraqistan already passed? My how time flies.

You know it's going to be a bad day when your best friends defend you by pointing out that you are 1) too lazy and addlebrained to commit the crimes of which you are accused and 2) when your best defense against corruption is that you are just too incompetent to do the job against a government you are keen to grow that is suddenly and conveniently simply too enormous for anyone to effectively manage.

And on Monday, the Justice Department came under fire for seizing phone records of journalists from the Associated Press as part of a criminal probe into intelligence leaks.

I noticed they buried this other scandal at the bottom of the article. I don't blame them though. I don't think the media wants to really advertise that their boyfriend Obama has actually been cheating on them after being so faithful to him, it's pretty embarrassing. Pretty sure they'll take him back though after all this blows over just like Hillary did after Bill's little indiscretion and all will eventually be forgiven.

So where does negligence end and intent begin ? The White House knew of complaints by Tea Party groups against the iRS months ago and deliberately kept their distance. Because the president's staff was either explicitly instructed to keep stuff like this away from him or implicitly understood his desire to remain blameless and above the fray ? In that scenario, what’s the difference between “passivity” or “disinterest” and intentionally looking the other way? It sounds to me, like even if there wasn't any malfeasance, Mr. Obama is guilty of gross negligence.

Gee whiz Lizz, this supposed scandal is not about Karl Rove and lesser known activists trying to shift blame away, from their failures to get results in last years election? We have to take your suppositions at face value because you think Karl Rove is above partisan dirty tricks? Tea Party is by nature antitax and antigovernment, so of course they complained about the IRS. Maybe they complined too vociferously and brought the unwanted audits on themselves.

"Even if there wasnt any malfeasance, Mr Obama is still guilty" of some vague whatever. As a former law professor, Obama would probably just give his lawyers the day off and amplify the hesitancy in your accusations.

Nooooo... That job falls to Congress - just like it did in all the previous administrations. The IRS handles tax revenue and who is to supply it. They don't get to specify where the money goes once it is received. That is CONGRESS' job. But we can't blame a President if we have to acknowledge almost 600 other people are the actual ones funding the programs, so let's get our dig into the President anyways regardless of reality.

This is a farce. He was scheduled to leave two later. A second resignation just occurred. He was head of the tax exempt division. Run, Forrest, run, but you can't hide.

Oh Good Lord,

IRS Official in Charge During Tea Party Targeting Now Runs Health Care Office

The Internal Revenue Service official in charge of the tax-exempt organizations at the time when the unit targeted tea party groups now runs the IRS office responsible for the health care legislation.

Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.,

Who are the other 225 groups?

Did the IRS make the announcement about the targeting?
