Olegek
but ONLY in Syria (it's an exception and not a PRECEDENT)
For example in neigbour Iraq US fiercely fighting against Al Quaeda

Seriously, US citizens need to lean on our government about this. In some countries it works to our benefit and others it doesn't. Most ME areas it has shown that it doesn't. I wonder how much of these non-lethal supplies are being sold for weaponry? Well, I will admit that its good to hear that armed support isn't being sent to them at least.

" I thought it was against the U.S law to give financial support to terrorist organisations. Is it not against the law to support terrorist organisations that the U.S. government likes or act in the interest of the U.S government?"
It's "do as we say, not as we do". Or didn't you get the memo?

@WilleB: For Mr Obama, the AQ without OBL is an ally just like the muslim brotherhood in egypt, two most favorable new allies to pursue the liberty ideologies for arabs in middle east!

In other words, the US is supporting Al Quaeda in Syria. The pure foolishness of this policy is hard to beat.
