Where was all this concern when Iraqi and US backed militias were laying siege to civilian populations in Ramadi and Manbij? We really need a new organization like the Nobel Prize, except they need to be handing out a Warmonger Prize. Obama would get both. But if you get the Warmonger Prize, do you have to return the Peace Prize?

Indeed if is the US wasnt meddling in afairs Assad would have crushed the rebellion and life would have returned to normal but Saudi interests are keeping it from returning to normal.

You could also change this sentence by removing the word Russia and replace it with USA.

Russia didn't become so active until years of America arming the extremist to overthrow Assad. This war would have likely ended by now, if it had not been for all the financial, military and political support given by the U.S.
