My sympathies to the Biden family. I cannot even imagine how much it must hurt to have to bury one's own child. Not a nice way to wrap up the tail end of Joe Biden's VP term at all.

46 is just to young! And it must be devastating to loose a son or daughter. condolences to the Biden family.

Condolences to the Biden family. I remember when Biden was running for VP as part of the Obama ticket in 2008 he would proudly speak of his son who was serving in the military at that time, as the picture shows. Speaking as a father of an adult son who I am equally as proud of, this must be horribly painful for him. My prayers this morning will be for all of them.

I hope I never have to go through that.

Condolences to the entire Biden family. I feel terrible. As a parent, that must be the absolute worst thing you can go through. 46 is way too young. I understand their feeling, I lost my brother to brain cancer as well at 21 and the pain and suffering to witness someone going through that is just horrible, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I still think about him all the time. I really feel bad for Joe Biden as this is not the first time that they family has been through a nighttime like this. Biden lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident and if I recall, almost lost his son as well, he bounced back and remarried, but once again has to deal with another tragedy. I deeply feel for the family and I pray that they might find some comfort and peace to move on, the pain will never go away, but if they can find a way to live with it and come closer as a family they will get through this.

I'm impressed Bass. It's nice to see you can drop your partisanship when it matters.

The Biden's have endured a great deal of tragedy. Beau Biden seemed to be a very good person and passed on way too early.

I second that. In the papers here this morning they mentioned that Biden once stated that "a parent knows success when their kids turn out better than them", and he knew he had reached that point with his children, especiially Beau, who had almost died as a result of the automobile accident Bass mentions. I cannot imagine him having to face that kind of grief again -- not fair to any man. Rest assured I will give my son an extra long hug and kiss on the cheek the next time I seew him -- like I did Friday night when we caught dinner and the hockey game together. Life is so short. Don't ever take it for granted. Luckily, based on Biden's measure, I can say I am a success.

What a difficult time this must be for the Biden family. Deepest condolences for Beau's family and friends.
If you look, you'll find that's pretty consistent with conservatives.

Thanks, but I am not a partisan for the record. Yes, I am very critical to the hypocrisies of the left because they always sugarcoat everything, but having said that, as a parent, whatever political wind you flow, people are people and NO parent should have to go through something so horrific as losing a child and for Biden, this is his second child he lost, so I just feel for the man deeply.
