Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Moscow used the explosions 220 km (137 miles) away from the grain corridor as a "false pretext" for a long-intended move.

Russia are acting in bad faith and just wants to cause chaos. They have no interest in helping starvation, if it doesn't forward their own sick aims. Maybe they want Ukraine to think twice about attacking Russian cruise missile launching ships, but that won't happen.

Attacking the ships that have been firing cruise missiles on civilian targets won't stop.

"We call on Russia to reconsider its decision and renew the deal urgently, enabling food to reach those who need it most," NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu said.

Good luck.

Russia complains of the deal hindering Russian exports.

Russian economy is a mess (words from economist escaping Russia due to mobilization were much stronger).

Drone attack hundreds of Kms away.

Russia immediately suspends deal.

Russia's actions in preventing badly needed foodstuffs from reaching Africa will cause starvation. Russia is committing a war crime - again.

Shop owners have been ordered to sell all supplies of food products and close down by Tuesday.

Something big happening on Tuesday? I wonder if the shop owners will change their mind and start accepting roubles because of this order to sell all and close down.

The Russians are probably going to blow the dam and flood everything down river. There are reportedly explosives laden trucks sitting on the dam.

They’ll blame Ukraine for that too. I know they’ve already started suggesting it’s what Ukraine would do, but the Russians have given a timeline.

Now charges should be brought against him

Not only is Russia creating misery in Ukraine, but Russia is also causing starvation in hungry parts of the world. Despicable.

i see that we have so many UA RU experts here but narratives are almost same.

things could be different if West will realize that cant win over Russia as planned and its time to step back, push Kiev for peace talk and do something abt ending of this conflict.

if this first thing will happen, than situation will ease dramatically and there will be no problems with grain export etc.is this first step will not happen dont expect any changes in recent situation at all and it may even more worsen.

Something like two hundred ships are in Ukraine ports waiting to be loaded. A further fifteen are in Turkey waiting for inspections.

things could be different if Putin will realize that he cant win over UA as planned and its time to step back, remove all Russian troops, admit defeat, and do something abt ending of this conflict.

There, fixed it for you…

The “narrative” angle often gets a mention when there’s nothing else someone can think of.

NATO can easily guarantee the ship's security with the assets it has in the region. That includes mine sweeping and anti submarine capabilities.

We don't need to worry about surface or air threats because the black sea "fleet" won't dare stray into range and it's Air Farce has decided to vacation in the Far East.

In the event that Putie makes any threats, NATO could and should runs the Bosphorous straights and escort the ships directly. Mini-me would love that wouldn't he?

Because of the Montreau Convetion NATO cannot send ships through the Turkish Straits right now. Because Turkey, or excuse me Turkiye invoked the paragraphs on wartime use of the straits the only military ships that may pass through are ships returning to their home port. Also, only nations with a coastline on the Black Sea may sail a submarine through the Turkish Straits. Romania doesn't have subs. Turkey has some but has tried to stay neutral, courting the Russians for gas trade, nuclear power and tourists.

In any event the 10,000 ton limit imposed on passage through the Turkish Straits by naval vessels of nations that do not border the Black Sea imposes some limits on what NATO could send even if the Turks allowed them to pass through. Passage by aircraft carriers is prohibited, which is why the Russians built theirs with 16 long range cruise missiles fired through hatches in the flight deck, allowing Russia to call them cruisers.
