Biden foreign foreign policy is far, far superior to Trump's.

LOL! Absolutely no further comment necessary.

No they weren’t attacking Americans until well after that person left and was replaced by a mentally deficient doddering old fool.

lol so, so bitter. Let's face it, Biden foreign foreign policy is far, far superior to Trump's. Truth hurts, I know.

So, now it's OK for an illegal invader and occupier to bomb and kill, and targeting them is attacking not defending?

IS only formed after the illegal invasion of Iraq, which further destablized the Middle East leading to the current ongoing conflict in Syria.

US war games near North Korea and "routine military activities" near China similarly create powder keg situations in east Asia- great for the sale of weapons but diverts resources for citizens education, healthcare, pension, etc.

It’s almost like Iran is to Syria vs USA as USA is to Ukraine vs Russia.

The attack came just weeks after the top U.S. general, Mark Milley, visited northeast Syria to assess the mission against Islamic State and the risk to U.S. personnel.

why was the US General there and doing this? and he obviously made this wrong risk assessment. As he seems to always do.

Not a smart move to attack any base with a US presence. They earned a swift retaliation and can hardly complain about it. The US will defend its people, that is no secret. Perhaps they will in future think twice about stirring up a giant.

first at all US forces at syrian soil are in role of occupation/agressors force.

no mandate from UN,no mandate from syrian government.

second so called contractors are not US army personnel, they are professional killers killing for money.

these are FACTS.

i expect strong sanctions against USA from side of world democratic society incl Japan.Fumio its about time to support Syria against US invaders and oil thiefs.

Remember, the US is the leader of the rules based international system. The first rule of the rules based international system is that the US does not need to follow the rules based international system.

took place at a coalition base near Hasakah in northeast Syria at approximately 1:38 p.m. on Thursday, it said.

Let's make it clear, so there are foreign forces along with their contractors that infiltrating territory of a sovereign nation. When that sovereign nation choose to defend with the help another partner nation, that infiltrator sponsor is bragging after doing a retaliation?

Regardless, they weren't attacking US citizens until after a certain foreign policy "genius" got rid of the deal.

This is not a Biden or a Trump thing, t's an American money and power in the military thing that is the USA mindset toward everything from politics to economics to guns and killing. The American way, it has little to nothing to do with which administration is in, both liberal and conservative believe in military, religion and guns

I agree with this post except the first sentence. I don’t know why Americans here ( not you) defend Biden. It’s as if they are loyal to President or their party and not to the country. You’re being attacked because of who your leader is.

Biden also helped drive Russia and China together; the classic enemy of an enemy is a friend, and created an even bigger enemy alliance.

Biden has very little to run on in ‘24 other than China this and China that. There was always the Iran, Russia, China axis but in these recent years it’s clear they do not regard the US under Biden with fear as in the past.

Putin in Russia is powerful and Xi now commands global stature and strength more than the POTUS. Americans need to be woken; to see the POTUS weak compared to some Chinese leader sits well with you? This administration is busy with gender ideology at the expense of American diplomacy and foreign affairs.

Likely the single person who most supports to US presence (alongside European partners) is Assad.

I seriously doubt that. The US occupies the most oil rich and agriculturally fertile parts of Syria which account for most of the country's pre-war GDP. The US is stealing the resources and sending them to the Kurds in Iraq (fueling more ethnic resentment and seeding future conflicts in the region).

retaliatory strikes were carried out at the direction of President Joe Biden

What more is there to say? US have already been accused for war crimes by Amnesty International in this conflict.

Funny how an illegal invasion and occupation go completely denounced or even unnoticed here. Another textbook case of the pot calling the kettle black...

an agreement to prevent this type of attack on US citizens? I think not. In fact, I know not.

Regardless, they weren't attacking US citizens until after a certain foreign policy "genius" got rid of the deal. Talk about incompetent foreign policy.

We had a deal in place that dealt with Iran until some know-it-all decided to unilaterally cancel it.

Likely the single person who most supports to US presence (alongside European partners) is Assad. Stability is paramount as the region works out its problems.

Yep so now we have Iran attacking too. That’s 4 major countries aligned against the USA now.

We had a deal in place that dealt with Iran until some know-it-all decided to unilaterally cancel it. What a genius move, right?

Great foreign policies by the Biden team huh?

So clearly we should be doing even less. Right?

World policing and protection is a brainwash the people of America believe in, and then blame their own polarizing ideals 'to the wrong Americans'. How dumb.

War is the liberals fault, right? No, it isn't, it's America's fault. Americans never seem to realize this.

More baiting by the US administration.

I wonder if we can have WW3 and WW4 simultaneously?

Wait, American troops are still stationed in Syria? Under what international authority?
