The CCP shall not dictate whom, when or where US officials speak to on issues of mutual concern. In this case regional stability and self-determination by the citizens of Taiwan.

I really can't stand China, but I also can not stand people who do things just to poke a stick at someone for no reason. These trips are just for the purpose of stirring the pot and quite annoying.

-8 ( +20 / -28 )

Yes! Good on these folks.

12 ( +22 / -10 )

Actually, Taiwan, location wise, would be an ideal place for future US military bases and ports.

Especially at a time when we are not at our peak readiness

US showing firm support, yes, for chips!

12 ( +15 / -3 )

When do we issue our list to China of countries they can't visit?

13 ( +18 / -5 )

China's response to Pelosi's visit allowed them to "normalize" drills around Taiwan. But the flip side is that it also allowed the US to "normalize" more political visits. We can expect more and more open visits and exchanges in defiance of China's whining.

They are only annoying to China and it's supporters. Affirming full support in accordance with the Taiwan Relations Act in defiance of China's belligerence is a far cry from "no purpose". They serve a massive purpose; to dissuade China from invading Taiwan.

China's embassy in Washington said "once again proves that the U.S. does not want to see stability across the Taiwan Straits and has spared no effort to stir up confrontation between the two sides and interfere in China's internal affairs."

The world says I china wants to see STABILITY it should stop Bullying and provoking Taiwan and the rest of the Indo Pacific.

I believe it.

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

With some good and sensible decision making, the US would not have to put themselves in a position where they have to say

“The CCP shall not dictate whom, when or where US officials speak to on issues of mutual concern”

Why is the current administration so hell bent on causing tensions on EVERY front.

It’s almost like the are purposely driving the US into the ground…

That article is one year old.

The Frontier Post started in 1984 from Peshawar city, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Its mountains and valleys are amongst the most scenic in the world the people are the proud inheritors of the great traditions of the great sufis, saints and poets who inculcated the spirit of tolerance and brotherhood

You need to post a recent American article.

Amazing what you believe.

What a great idea, let’s all have a keg party on the beach and a BBQ.

I despise mainland china but enough is enough.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

It’s a free country, isn’t it? If the whole U.S. congress wants to visit Taiwan at once, who’s to say they shouldn’t? And why shouldn’t they?

12 ( +14 / -2 )

(Stormy)

OK, we’ll, when you put it that way, I guess it’s finally time to go see Taiwan, before it goes the way of HongKong…which they said would never happen.

I always liked a good keg party anyway.

And things only worsened after that one year.

I think the left needs to keep up with reality.

Nihao! The current US adnministration is continuing what every US Administration has done since WWII ended. That goes for supporting NATO in the west, and supporting Taiwan in the east.

Causing tensions? Like invading another country? Like threatening to invade another country? You;ve got things backwards.

> I believe it.

You believe a one-year article from Pakistan because you want to.

I think the left needs to keep up with reality.

I'm not on the left. Keep that for your American buddies.

American military strategists are actively gaming U.S. military response scenarios to a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan by 2026.

You have informed the forum numerous times Trump will be back in office in 2024.

The first article is stimulation and the second one does not mention the state of the US Military in the war against China.

I posted it before, and you denied it but

I think if/when China invades Taiwan it will be very difficult for America to rage a war against China from the other side of the Pacific.

There could very well be an American war against Putin/Russia first.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Well done keep stirring the pot keep poking the bear , it’s not the people of the USA that will suffer it’s all of us . We’ll be news for them before they switch to some other reality show. .

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

Simulation

The article you posted is based on simulations. And those simulations predicted a Taiwan/US victory, albeit at a heavy cost.

Please read the links you post. One time. For me, as a favor.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

And why shouldn’t they?

It's not their job. They were elected to make laws, not to conduct diplomatic missions.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Also I bet all the pro war”let’s confront China and show them whose boss” posters will be on the first plane out of here when it goes boom

I believe it.

America wasn't ready for WW2 either, but we got the job done and the arrogant Axis couldn't believe they lost.

Fantastic news! Good on these representatives, following in Pelosis footsteps, for taking up their invitations to visit FREE Taiwan.

Who do the thugs to the west - unelected, uncivilized, murderous barbarians - think they are to dictate who can and cant be invited to free and democratic Taiwan?

Everyone knows the Chinese are cowards when it comes down to it. Theyll throw another tantrum and shoot some more missiles into the ocean floor. Akin to a toddler stamping his feet, they cannot win.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

The Chinese are prisoners of their own political system and dictator Xi.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

seems that USA will need to provoke big war with China?

highly likely yes...without thinking about any consequences for them and all countries in region.business as usual.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

It looks like USA establishment has planned to instigate another war.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

The US weapons companies will be very happy to see an America-Russia war. Then an America-China war.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Good! Keep showing China they cannot dictate the U.S.' behavior. Figures the righties on here wouldn't like it. They prefer when DT was snuggling up to Vladimir Putin.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Some of the more warmongering posters here are apparently unable to visualise war outside of a video game, or a movie where the good guys always win in the end. It ain’t necessarily so.

American politics are decided by elections. Democrats and Republicans. Biden won a historical victory against Trump who was hoofed after a single term.

Trump could not take the democracy and almost went hairless.

You will have another chance in the November elections but Biden/Harris/Pelosi will remain president until 2025.

You seem to live in a world of tunnel vision based on something you call leftie and rightie.

The voters voted for Biden, nothing is forced on you.

Interesting…

We shall see.

Not me, this administration

I really can't stand China, but I also can not stand people who do things just to poke a stick at someone for no reason. These trips are just for the purpose of stirring the pot and quite annoying.

Indeed.

Good! Keep showing China they cannot dictate the U.S.' behavior.

Damn right...only US can dictate how other countries can behave. Competition not allowed.

Causing tensions? Like invading another country? Like threatening to invade another country? You;ve got things backwards.

Yep, cause US never invaded another country. SF.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

The US is just begging China to invade Taiwan! When it eventually happens the US will just sit back and watch as they did with Ukraine! The US will not send its troops to defend Taiwan because congress will never give the green light on this. On paper the 1 China policy still exist and House Representatives as well as senators will use it as a reason to vote no on sending troops to defend Taiwan. They won’t want American troops being killed! The fall of Taiwan is imminent because of the reckless actions of The US!

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Also I bet all the pro war”let’s confront China and show them whose boss” posters will be on the first plane out of here when it goes boom

Exactly! These cowards have no courage themselves but wish for war between China and its neighbors! They did the same and are still doing it with Russia and Ukraine situation. If they had the courage then why didn’t they join the Ukrainian forces when the President of Ukraine requested men from around the world to join them fight the Russian troops! They only have the balls to type war war war on the internet and hide at the first sign of danger!

American politics are decided by elections.

Interesting…

You didn’t know this? Why am I unsurprised.

So will you and all your CCP worshipping Wumao friends and sockpuppets.

He goes China again causing trouble because other nations continue to do business in a normal manner.

The people of the world continue to lobby their governments, that refuse to terminate the illogical "one China" policy that previous leaders signed to placate China. The current leaders continue the charade to continue doing business and profit from mainland China. All are in unison that China will not be permitted to force Taiwan to become part of China under CCP rule unless they wish it themselves, which the vast majority do not, and the number gets ever closer to 100% as the few who do die off.

America can send officials to Taiwan as long as Taiwan permits. As can other nations when Taiwan permits. What is not needed is permission from a third nation with no authority over Taiwan, but complains loudly and often that it rules what it clearly does not.

Well done US congress members. Well done Pelosi and well done America in standing up to Chinese aggression.

China should really shut up. It has many more important things to concentrate on, than fantasy desires.
