Evil looking bugger. Good riddance to a monster.

A psychopath celeb. There seems to be a sick fascination with these types from some people.

Expect a few more books on this man to come out shortly. Please don't buy them.

Looks like a tattoo swastika, not a scar.  Certainlyicons of the 60's are shuffling off this mortal coil.

Here's one instance where everyone should support the snuff penalty.

40 years keeping this POS alive on taxpayers dollar.

Good riddance.

No.

48 years too late.

May his body be put to proper rest.

At last. Never again can anyone interview him and give him the attention he craved at our emotional expense.

Good riddance.

If Charlie Manson lived in Japan, everybody here would think he looks like Santa Claus. Especially with that shirt.

His imprisonment came with a more than 2.000.000 USD cost tab. Had the California not outlawed' the death penalty in the good ole '72, the cost of the legal process+execution would have been around 1.000.000.

What has the society gained by keeping him alive? A lot of admirers, that dream of killing his style, and mourn his death today.

How much did he end up costing US taxpayers?

@ebisen

What has the society gained by keeping him alive?

A smidgen of respect from the civilised world?

Oddly, I've been listening to the "White Album" recently.

Anyway; he's gone but the nightmare continues for families of his victims.

Won't be missed by the vast majority.

Good riddance.

Whomever pulled the trigger, or threw the switch, would be no different than he was -- a murderer. Doesn't matter how or why, you take a life and you are a killer, and as such you would by your own judgement deserve the same fate.

Goodbye and good riddance!

I saw U2 in California in 1987 and they said they were stealing 'Helter Skelter' back. What does that song really have to do with all this craziness? Do some zealots think the Beatles had some indirect role in all this? I also saw Motley Crue do this song in 2014 if that indicates anything. Also, didn't one of Manson's disciples try to assassinate Pres. Gerald Ford? Of course you know Marilyn Manson took half his stage name from this creep. GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH.

Whomever pulled the trigger, or threw the switch, would be no different than he was -- a murderer. Doesn't matter how or why, you take a life and you are a killer,

The convenient thing about eliminating distinctions like this is that you can make yourself right no matter how wrong you are. If you define 2:00pm as anything between 1:00am and 3:00am, you can give yourself a 2-hour minute.

The problem with that is your definition of "minute" would be so broad as to be useless.

So, you mix divergent words such as murderer and killer together, until a cop who kills an armed murderer and a man who murders young innocents for kicks are exactly the same by your definition. Why just eliminate all meaning in words?

For the victims, may your souls finally be peacefully at rest. For the families , may you find comfort knowing he is now in hell. For those that held him the highest regard, your time is coming. For everyone else join me in saying thank you Lord for now is the time to join each other & make sure Evil like this will never be again a part of my life.
