Health care in the US is a "for profit" industry. Until that changes, capitalists are going to capitalist. Don't give away trade secrets. The world already did that with China the last 20 yrs. It didn't work out well.

There is no way this poor decision by Biden can not boost China biotech, hurt American interests and give away years if not decades of American taxpayer funded research.

Doesn’t matter what he “wants” or how many protective articles are written saying it wasn’t his intention when he decided to do this.

You honestly think China wasn’t stealing things anyway? Stunning.

At least let's make them steal it, not just give it to them.

Because some people shoplift the grocery story should just give away everything for free. Same ridiculous idea.

biden is basically putting something in the freezer and expressing surprise that everyone else says it will become frozen. “That’s not what I wanted”...

As a business owner it’s very different that someone steals from me compared to my employee deciding to virtue signal and start giving away things to my competitors for free.

Excellent questions on both sides of this issue. China creates the mess. The U.S. solves the mess. China then profits from the bio-mess it created. Russia just happens to be the lucky bystander in all of this looking to profit off of the misery of others.

On the other hand, it's quite true that the U.S. is profit-driven in terms of medical care, finding cures and whatnot, but poor countries are in desperate need of help and suffering horribly immediately.

Do you give up the vaccine freely to clean up another country's mess in order to help the poor, or do you fight to protect the huge investment you've made in discovering the solution so speedily and, in so doing, prevent the negligent country (China) which created COVID-19 from profiting?

Tough call.
