Personally, I’m waiting for the commemorative Fauci COVID-19 mask to come out! Should be required by law to wear one, even in your home or car. Hypoxia is a small price to pay to flatten the curve. Just think, if it saves just one life, it’s worth the effort. We’re all in this together. Think of the children.

To show my support for Chairman Fauci, I’m going to wear two masks. Pre-order yours today! Quantities may be limited. Accept no substitutes.

Quite the about face is happening considering the vehement opposition to Islamic face coverings just a few years ago. Where are the people to remind us of all the terrorism that is surely going to happen if people, especially women, hide their mouths and noses from view?

Paper masks most probably spread the increase of infection and transition. The minute you touch the paper part of your mask you could infect it, and for up to 72 hours you will be constantly inhaling the virus which can pass through the material. if somebody has exposed your mask exterior, and then you adjust or pull down your mask, your hands will be infected. if your hands are infected, you can infect yourself by touching your face, or to others by touching surfaces which they touch.

surgical masks are very effective. my advice would be to wear two paper masks at once. that way the outside mask would hold the virus while the inside mask would protect the wearer.

for infection, there is absolutely no point wearing a mask unless your combine it with eye protection. although eyes have the ability is fight some bacteria or viruses, the immune defense system is nowhere as effective as the nose/throat. Covid-19 spreads in two forms. droplets which are heavy and fall down with distance, and aerosols which because of the minute size travel long distances, usually at eye height.

wearing masks has been shown in studies to psychologically boost the wearers confidence and take more risks.

my advise, wash your hands, social distance and dont touch your face.

Oh no, my horse is running down the road. I'll just go and shut the gate.

A lot of the confusion seems to come from different people talking about different things. The WHO seems to be mainly talking about surgical masks, whereas people are often talking about more basic masks. The WHO seemed to be focusing on whether masks stop you catching the virus, whereas people in Asia were focusing more on whether masks stop you infecting others.

Hence, confusion.

PS/ Spare a thought for deaf people, who tend to rely on lip reading for a lot of their understanding.

Allowing the virus to run rampant all over the UK was only to be expected from the incompetent shower of Brexiteering Tory twits who have accomplished nothing except to turn the country into an "Upstairs Downstairs" reality show to rival the antics of the management at "Fawlty Towers". This tragi-comedic script is sure to be continued into the foreseeable future.

@zichi "Transparent and clear masks are available. Like this one

Looks good, but without clicking their purchase link, the price is not clear and transparent.
