But do go ahead Molenir and point out in this article where it says exactly what she asked. How do you know she didn't ask bigoted questions? You don't... you just wanted to take an unrelated article and make it about your personal angst.

Wow Smith, talk about trying to turn things around. Rather then contesting the idea that the ones who always play the race card, regardless of issue, are libs, you attack me for what? Pointing out the obvious?

I've heard it said that B.I.G.O.T. now means - "Brown Is Gone On Thursday"

Where were the "handlers" ? The quality of "handlers" has been real poor as of late. When in doubt you should always blame your "handlers" first.

Brown has long been an embarrassment for Britain.

Just like "Loopy" Hatoyama saying something daft, then old man Kamei coming out to "clarify" what he really meant. And no-one believes either of them.

Doh! Not nearly as bad as the thousands of bush gaffes, but still pretty humiliating.

Moliner: "Apparently having the courage to question Immigration, makes you a bigot. Rather typical liberal thinking."

It's funny that you can't see you are really singling yourself out with a comment like this, not to mention bringing in a whole lot of bitterness and baggage over other topics. It's pretty clear that, while Brown should not have made the comment he did, we don't seem to know at all what the woman actually asked. But don't take my word for it, here:

"Duffy, a grandmother who had worked with handicapped children, had questioned Brown on taxes, university fees, immigration and Britain’s record deficit of 152.84 billion pounds ($235.9 billion)."

Brown was closing the gap on the Tories and actually looked like Labour having the largest majority in a hung partliament. Looking at UK news this morning it seems affter the gaffe that teh Tories will be the biggest party in a hung parliament. Brown couldn`t have made these comments at a worse time. Can he turn it around in tonights live debates?

Ivan - Har!

"Bush's overly familiar "Yo, Blair" greeting in 2006"

Heh heh.

I love it when Mics and cameras get left on. Makes for good humor.

Between the comment and the over-the-top grovelling apology Brown probably managed to tick off every single British voter, left, right, or center.

Unfortunately though, this article doesn't include Ms. Duffy's wonderful and probably immortal question, "All these Eastern Europeans what are coming in, where are they flocking from?" Yes Holmes, from where???

Anyways, Brown was wrong to call here a bigot. She is just another confused peasant who thinks her problems are caused by other peasants. Get ready for the serf wars!!!

And on the other side you have those blaming everything wrong with their world on immigrants.

Hmm, interesting comment there. Have never heard that sentiment before from anyone on the right. Though admittedly I'm from the US. Perhaps things are different in the UK. Still, from my perspective, it sounds like more made up hyperbole from hypocritical bigots on the left. Rather like those running around screaming how anyone opposed to illegal immigration is racist.

Most people, at least in the US are in favor of Immigration. I'm not sure how it is in England. I can understand the concern though.

This Lady was lucky -if she was in the U.S. she would have been called a "terrorist" and Obama's Homeland Security detail would have had her "indefinately detained."

-Then the Health Police would probably have her committed to a mental health institution.

Apparently having the courage to question Immigration, makes you a bigot. Rather typical liberal thinking.

And on the other side you have those blaming everything wrong with their world on immigrants. The call of the lazy, unintelligent and bigots(I.E. skin heads, neo-nazi, etc.) is "immigrants took my job". Get educated or work in a labour job at what the capital market system deems your job to worth.

It seems ironic that the left is accused of being lazy, unemployed and living off the state, yet at the same typical liberal thinking is to call those who accuse immigrants of stealing their jobs, bigots. So it would seem both the left and the right are unemployed.
