Past fictional depictions of “madmen” were primarily, completely bald or twirling mustaches. The current media loves emphasize “crazy hairstyles”.

Yet, black masks are still en vogue for some.

1000’s of available photos and again, AP chooses one looking like the clown … from It , emerging from the shadows.

Hard to represent this Johnson without him looking like a clown.

He did what he did to the country to his assistant, literally.

he was running with a 3 part slogan

Stay home - protect the nhs - bang your assistant.

Learned long ago to never, ever touch a female in a professional setting. In Japan, even shaking hands with a female is verboten. A piece of advice for my fellow gaijin: a gentle bow is sufficient as a greeting.

The modern spin on corruption and hypocrisy from politicians is that "they are all the same" but I think that is a lie. This Johnson government is categorically worse than ones that have come before. More lies, more hypocrisy, more nepotism and corruption. After Cummings not resigning or being fired, it should be no surprise that Johnson did not fire Hancock. The decision to push him has come from Conservative Party, who see Hancock as a liability, a vote loser.

If/when Johnson changes from a voter winner to a vote loser, they'll push him too.

Ministerial appointments are through the revolving door of incompetence. No qualifications needed. The least qualified are put into the highest positions.

Not exactly oozing sex appeal.

Hancock announced his resignation Saturday, a day after apologizing for breaching social distancing rules

The cheating was immaterial, he resigned for breaching social distancing rules.

Hancock's wife knew nothing about the cheating of her husband until the news broke publicly.

The Sun contacted Hancock the night before the news broke, and he told his wife that night.

Good form for the Sun. I guess

Rules don't apply to your intimate circle, obviously.

So outside kissing all ladies he met, what is the issue ?

I am more worried that anyone can take photos of any UK minister in space closed to the public eyes.

It looks as if any one can spy anytime anyone. Good luck with confidential breach.

James Bond won't be soon on the dole.

Politicians behave as if they were above the law? in other news water still wet.

At least in UK the consequences are more serious than in other countries, the problem is still serious but it is less frustrating than seeing the guilty people keeping their jobs with just a tiny slap in the hand.

Another example of how so many in power have pushed dumb covid restrictions while shoeing they don’t really believe in them.

Guess the stress of ruining the country must have got to him.

Mad Matt must have thought that, like his boss, Boris, who slithered away from the law scott-free with the Jennifer Arcuri booty, he could also get away with a surreptitious "Hancock's Half Hour" with his aide, forgetting that even a ministerial snooper like himself is living in the UK's Argus-eyed surveillance society in which some are more equal than others. I'm sure the hapless Hancock will now be eating humble pie while learning the lesson from his humiliated spouse that "what's good for the goose is good for the gander". Many would still like to see him held accountable for the thousands who died needlessly on account of his inept handling of the pandemic, but in the meantime " Jolly good riddance to Tory rubbish!" (and so say all of us who demand decency, honesty and integrity from ministers)

Hancock's wife has also been struggling with Long Covid for months, given to her by her husband, a corrupt, incompetent, deceitful excuse for a man. "Lower than a snake's belly," as one of his constituents said.

I love the picture. Is it the movie poster for the Joker sequel?

UK government accused of hypocrisy as health minister quits

It's a target rich environment.

Downing Street: ever prophetic.

How many governments in this world are NOT hypocrites, irrespective of the ideologies?

It is a matter of degree, not of kind.

The fingers on one hand would be enough to count..

Where are the leaders who actually love the people they are supposed to serve and do sincerely serve them?

Letts take step back,

The Daily Mail has stepped over the line.

Hang Hancock from the nearest tree. if you will

This quotes is a outrageous invasion of privacy.

Matt Hancock woke up his sleeping eight-year-old son to tell him he was leaving family on day Gina Coladangelo affair broke as friends say long Covid-hit wife 'thought their marriage was happy and stable'

Hang a fool if your must, but don't hang his family

Hancock got his just deserts, no doubt.

I have to admit to frankly despising this cretinous fool behavior.

How could Hancock dump on his own doorstep this way?

His wife and Children?

Could they not be then subjectively being burnt on the alter of Hancock?

Hancock just callously ignored the fact.

Hancock head should be on a spike.

The plight and predicament for his family is another matter.

The global economy, the UK economy needs, and demands a genuine socialist economic realism.

Based on an affordable balanced taxation that's acceptable for a families ability to pay.

This is the missing piece of the puzzle .

The problem front central, is we could have a political system that needs to be reformed.

The people must decide at the ballot box,

So to also comment on your question, Desert Tortoise, previous thread.

21st century socialism must not be associated by political/economic theory of the ideological redistribution of wealth.

Must reach beyond, embrace trust.

The belief Government can competently transparently spend tax payers money in a manner that will enhance the social welfare from bottom up.

Yes, I believe will only come from political unity to establish a democratic mandate to hold every shred/level of government local or otherwise accountable to the people.

This is the essence of why I am ideologically opposed to Unions .

Seems the “conservative” party in Britain has a much lower tolerance for covid lockdown hypocrites than the “progressive” party in the US. All of them are still enjoying the full support of the Dem party and the media on the Western side of the Atlantic. Reference: Gov. Newsome, Gov Newsome, Gov Whitmire, Mayor deBlasio, Mayor Lightfoot, Mayor London Breed, Speaker Pelosi, Pres. biden, Senator Feinstein, any many many more. Of course all of these hypocrites supported the BLM riots last year and it’s violation of the protocols they insisted that everyone else should follow. Guess those rules were for deplorables only.

Given all the hypocrisy from the Left, maybe it would be a good idea to cool it with the criticisms.
