This will be a bigger disaster than Boris..
Keep up your stupid conservative Brexit..

Suella Braverman is just a rat leaving a sinking ship.
Will Truss last until Halloween? Nov 5th or Christmas?
Alan Harrison
Some people just can't see when it's "game over".
Nemo
Forget Halloween. Will she last the weekend?
A fighter, not a quitter, eh? Peter McNelley said that about fighting Mike Tyson. He lasted all of 80 seconds or so.
She doesn’t need to quit, the Tory party is going to unceremoniously relieve itself of her rulers or no.
Bob Fosse
Can’t truss it. Flav was right.

Wow...our leaders are all losers!
I'm all for a professional government. Let's hire the best financial minds to run our countries. People from the top universities and companies who know economics and how to balance books. Pay them a trunk load of money with bonuses to keep them put. Accountable to an independent committee. All of them sign waivers that allow auditing of their bank accounts at any time we choose.
Tired of these self-serving narcissists who together with their cronies fleece the taxpayer and when they retire have bank balances well in excess of their incomes.

MPs from both sides of the House on TV saying they saw Government Whips screaming at, bullying and physically manhandling their backbenchers into the division lobby during a chaotic vote fracking that the Government viewed as a confidence vote. Truss should be toast, but the Tories are hanging in by their fingertips as they know an election will wipe them out.
wallace
Home Secretary resigns. No one seems to be sure if the party whip and deputy whip resigned.
Chaos.

What a flimsy excuse. If you want to go, then go.
The PM position is now like the kiss of death. Also, a revolving door like the Japanese PM.
Jimizo
Some Tories claiming Braverman was pushed out and that Hunt is now PM in all but name. Braverman did go full on virtue-signaling in Parliament the other day squealing about tofu-eating and the ‘wokerati’ . It reminded me of when Milo was a thing and the trash were parroting ‘soy boy’ and ‘cuck’.
Won’t be missed but how long is it until the final insult of Jacob Rees-Mogg being offered one of the top jobs?

Inflation is high and mortgage rates are rising in the UK because of the direct and incidental effects of Brexit. Brexit hammered Sterling. Almost everything globally is traded in USD, so when your currency collapses from $1.65 to (now) about $1.12, and courtesy of the idiot Truss, near parity for a bit, everything rockets in price, including energy. Scarcities and prices have increased as we have lost trade with our primary trading partner (the EU) and lost good trade deals with other countries. Prices have also gone up because it is much more complicated to get things across borders. Although the unnecessary sanctions on Russia have affected supply chains and increased energy prices, US sanctions on China and Xi's Covid Zero may be more of a problem mid to long term. Inflation leads to higher interest rates, affecting mortgages and loans, even though increasing interest rates may not reduce inflation this time round, because of what caused it.
In the UK, everyone is being badly hit: The poor by higher energy and food costs, business by higher energy, higher loan costs and Brexit related staff shortages, and the middle classes by higher interest rates.
Brexit nuked the UK economy. Despite a fast vaccine roll out and a speedy switch to treating Covid as endemic, the UK's ability to recover post-pandemic has been torpedoed below the water line. Things will be brutal for a generation as a result. Everything negative, destructive and toxic was driven by the snake oil wing of the Tory party, primarily by BoJo the Clown, who led the Brexit referendum push and actually made it to PM. Truss is just an echo of all that, as it finally starts to fade into discredited obscurity.
Ukraine will recover from Russia's murderous acts of destruction faster than the UK will recover from Brexit. If the Tories get wiped out at the next election, they will deserve it, and have nobody to blame but themselves.
Labour's honeymoon period will be short. Even a landslide victory will not be a vote of confidence in their policies. Most Britons will not be able to name a shadow cabinet member other than Starmer and have no idea what their policies are - they will be voting the Tories out, not voting Labour in. Labour have no spare cash to play with, without austerity policies. Unfunded policies will just damage Sterling more and make everything worse. The unions will rapidly turn on them and they may well be as hated as the Tories within a few months of taking office.
Nationalists break things. It's what they do. The UK has been broken by them. Getting rid of the Tories will feel wonderful, but it is a not a magic bullet. Too much damage has been done. There is no easy road back to the country the UK was just a few years ago. Other nationalist regimes should look on this and turn away from emulating the UK's policies of economic self harm. Your citizens will not forgive you.

Truly appalling behaviour summed up by Conservative backbencher Charles Walker.......

In the past year maybe more, nearly every day, definitely every week there is some new crisis in the Tory party.
Its like whack a mole.
How many, finance ministers, home secretaries, PMs can they go through.
Mind boggling.

I think she's a Spitting Image animatronic thing with everything she says written by satirists, voiced by a Margaret Thatcher impressionist and relayed through a speaker up her nose.
I won't be sending my kids there, then.

Politicians decide policy but it’s the Civil Servants who have to agree and then implement it.
Blacklabel
Of course there is a connection. Government officials have publicly said that we the people have to suffer so that they can support those sanctions. It’s just the “price” we have to pay, they say.
TrevorPeace
The vote numbers shocked the hell out of me. 326 to 230?? A country as small as the UK has 556 elected representatives in Parliament? That, in itself, is the highest insult to the taxpayers.
Bob Fosse
Well, that’s that then. Who’s the next muppet?
wallace
Truss resign. A new leader will be announced by Friday of next week.
A party in turmoil.
wallace
Truss, the first PM to be appointed by one monarch, QEII, and reigned under another one, King Charles II.
Bob Fosse
That’s an important missing ‘S’
lolozo79
resigned under another one, King Charles III.
There, fixed it for you.
Fighto!
What a joke Truss is. She will be a laughing stock forever now. Overall, it is sad to see a once proud nation being quickly reduced to humiliation and poverty in many cases.
Sunak will be the next PM. He will get 6 months to try and get the UK out of her disaster. Tough gig...
Jimizo
You did call Trump and Pence the envy of the democratic world. I think we’ll treat your political views with the derision they deserve.
On a serious note, there should be a general election called as soon as possible.
wallace
The Tory party no longer has the support of the country.
Boris Johnson to stand for the leadership.
Fighto!
Wanting something to happen is a lot different from reality. There will not be a general election. Why on earth would a ruling government risk wipe out at its lowest point? They have over a year to rebuild.
Anyway, very sad how low the UK has fallen. One would hope they can somehow get their act together.
Express sister
lol. lmao.

The video game console says, 'GAME OVER'.
UPDATE: She just QUIT today. She resigned from the PM office a few hours ago, she's the PM with the shortest duration in office (45 days). She must've been afraid of what happened to Maggie Thatcher in 1990. That spring there were the Poll Tax Riots, the worst unrest in Britain in 800 years! That led to the resignation of the Dull Witch of Dulwich and her big fair-dee-well (ask Julian Cope for further details).
U can't trust the Truss.
Achtung, Baby! Shake your fist and SHOUT but the Elvises in your Party have left the building.
O-U-T. Out. All the way out. Gonesville. Kaput. Dizzy Lizzy - don't get in a tizzy, cuz
You.
Is.
Gone.
Nemo
Annnnnnnd, she’s gone.
Dear Lord ANYONE, but Borris.
Of course that thought got us Lizz….
Someone BETTER than Borris. That’s not an unreasonable ask….

The British people deserve better.
