Donny interfering in foreign elections because he's incapable of keeping his fat mouth shut for three minutes.

Tossing aside the convention that foreign leaders shouldn't intervene in other countries' domestic politics, Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would "be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places."

Big fat POT-KETTLE-BLACK!

Then U.S. President Donald Trump threw a curve ball into the campaign, popping up on a UK talk radio show Thursday to slam Corbyn and urge Conservative Prime Minister Boris Johnson to join forces with arch-Brexiteer and political rival, Nigel Farage.

He might just have handed Corbyn the election.

Tossing aside the convention that foreign leaders shouldn't intervene in other countries' domestic politics, Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would "be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places."

Big fat POT-KETTLE-BLACK!

Big fat agree with you!

I heard the interview re-transmitted on the BBC. The tone of Trumps remarks were that of a petulant five year old trying to make a point on a matter he doesn't understand, using the limited vocabulary available to him.

More to the point however is the interference in the political affairs of a foreign (friendly) nation. Did the outcry over possible Russian interference in the presidential election go completely over his head, or is he so arrogant that he automatically thinks he is entitled to interfere.

He has no business either in supporting or running down candidates in a UK General Election, or is he just being used by "chancer" Farage to forward his (Farage's) agenda. I suspect that Farage and Johnson are using him!

I also feel that given the low opinion the majority of the UK voting public have of Trump and his judgement, his remarks won't do Jeremy Corbyn a great deal of harm.

Tuned into LBC on the internet where they are still talking about this call from Trump.

Not much support for Trump out there.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Oh dear, many people here denying President Trump free speech?

What is the world coming to?

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

With Trump's popularity in England, his supporting Boris makes it a pretty sure fire win for Corbyn!

10 ( +12 / -2 )

As BertieWooster says, that is sure to help Corbyn. At least, most British know what an idiot Trump is.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

According to YouGov, 19% of Brits have a positive opinion of Trump and I’d guess they are mostly Farage supporters, hard right Tories, racists, idiots and conspiracy theorists.

This is good for Labour. Johnson will need to work hard to distance himself from Trump.

Trump interfering in the UK elections. That'll end well.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

This is thesis why bookies decline to take a wager above four figures.....Ten pounds even a hundred but if they cant lay off . Game over.

And this is why Johnson is likely to succeed, hell you can't even get a bookie to take a flutter above a couple of hundred on the liberal demarcates flying to the moon next Thursday.

The hubris from the lefties on this thread is hilarious, and the spite they show towards anyone who disagrees with them is a big part of why Trump won in the US, why he's got a good chance of it next year as well, and why Johnson will probably win the UK election.

Take a minute to think why even traditional Labour voters voted to leave the EU and you might gain a bit of perspective on the depth and breadth of the problems they're facing. They know Labour's more interested in trendy issues and doesn't care about jobs, sovereignty or immigration.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

I predict Corbyn and Labour is going to be slammed. Happy to take a wager, show of hands for a bottle of Kukurihime on this.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Three years ago the republican criticised Obama for saying the UK should stay in the EU and and he shouldn't interfer in the politics of another country.

Yes, it's interesting how Trumpists lecture and harass people for going against their wishes and then end up doing the same, if not worse.

Here's hoping Corbyn gets a fair shot and stands up to the angry traffic cone.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

It might be worth remembering that Labour under Corbyn was miles behind in the polls when May called the last election and eliminated the Tory majority. He is a good campaigner and particularly so on domestic issues like the NHS. My own take is he’s proved himself dithering and disorganized as a party leader since then but we’ll see.

Labour should hammer the Rump-Bozo chumminess and remind voters of one of Trump’s previous skirmishes with UK politics when he retweeted dodgy videos from a UK-based racist organization and earned a rebuke from the then PM. This disgusting episode should not be forgotten.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Oh dear, many people here denying President Trump free speech?

The UK doesn't have free speech.

Thank God we broke away from them.

Conversation between Trump and Putin recently...

Putin: Donnie, you're doing a great job making Russia great again - your retreat in Syria handed me my biggest win to date - thanks comrade!

Trump: Yes Master, do you have anything else for me to accomplish?

Putin: Yes, we've done our best to interfere and inflame BREXIT, now I need you to do your part - start making crazy remarks about one of the candidates - create as much chaos as you can...

Trump: Yes Master - when can I get those records back of all my oligarch loans and the pee tape?

Putin: In good time Donnie - just wait...

Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would "be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places."

True.

Donny interfering in foreign elections

He's not interfering in foreign elections, just expressing his opinion, just like, oh my, Obama did when he expressed his support for Trudeau. Oh, the hypocrisy of anti-Trumpers.

"Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would "be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places.""

True.

You actually know who Jeremy Corbyn is? Or do you just think that because Emperor Donald said it?

He's not interfering in foreign elections, just expressing his opinion, just like, oh my, Obama did when he expressed his support for Trudeau.

Obama wasn't actually in office when he did that, was he?

Trump has had other experiences with UK politics. After the Brexit vote, pig-ignorant Trump went to Scotland and tweeted:

”Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back, just like we will take America back. No games!”

Many Scots pointed out his ignorance, but this was the most concise:

”Scotland voted to stay you tiny fingered, Cheetos-faced, ferret wearing s###gibbon”

Trump also lied about correctly predicting the out vote in the EU referendum.

He is very ignorant and dishonest and should not be taken seriously when knowledge and truth are required.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

In 2020 Trump will become President again

According to a CNN poll in April this year he scored a high approval rating from most Americans.

It is not what I think, it is about what will happen and Johnson will also stay in power...

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

What does Trump know? He claimed that the English had airfields back in the 1750 which were captured by Americans. He also recently claimed on a visit by the Italian prime minster that American and the Romans have had a relationship going back 1000 of years. Now if he could only remember where he hid his tax returns, probably same place as that copy of Obama's Kenyan birth certificate or with his little blackbook.

I’m surprised Trump knows so little about Europe and its history given that his father was born in Germany.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Come on Britain its time to ditch the EU, get control of your borders, legal system not to mention taxes from the corrupt EU.

*Tossing aside the convention that foreign leaders shouldn't intervene in other countries' domestic politics, Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would *"be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places."

This sound soo familiar. Is he talking about himself here?

He has no business either in supporting or running down candidates in a UK General Election, or is he just being used by "chancer" Farage to forward his (Farage's) agenda. I suspect that Farage and Johnson are using him!

Let me put it this way, Trump wanted to be used. Then brag later that they (including Putin) respected him.

He is very ignorant and dishonest and should not be taken seriously when knowledge and truth are required.

And so are his minions.

Stomp the Tramp ! (a)

He's not interfering in foreign elections, just expressing his opinion, just like, oh my, Obama did when he expressed his support for Trudeau. Oh, the hypocrisy of anti-Trumpers.

The reality is that he's in office and is interfering. Gaslighting won't change this fact.

On the subject of hypocrisy - here's Nigel Farage:

‘A monstrous interference,” Farage told Fox News Thursday. “I’d rather he stayed in Washington, frankly, if that’s what he’s going to do.”

Oh, but that's back in 2016 when Obama said it. Let's see what Johnson says:

"I just think it's paradoxical that the United States, which wouldn't dream of allowing the slightest infringement of its own sovereignty, should be lecturing other countries ..."

Ah, but that's also from 2016. Before the rules changes, eh?

Come on Britain its time to ditch the EU, get control of your borders, legal system not to mention taxes from the corrupt EU.

As long as Brexiteers are happy to apply the same support for Ireland to have control of the full 32 counties again, that's fine.

Watched the uk apprentice last night ( yeah I know). Candidates had to find a pre ww2 edition of a book... thing is no one knew when ww2 started, I mean 5-6 'educated' Brits in their mid 20s!!

Whoever wins the election should spare a few bucks for education.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

He is very ignorant and dishonest and should not be taken seriously when knowledge and truth are required.

Why and how could anyone take seriously an immature criminal bully like Donnie who is always talking trash, stirring up hatred, inspiring violence, violating all the laws, claims to be a messiah, obeys his Master Vladimir, abuses women and brags about it like the 5th grade juvenile he is, and loves to get spanked.

I don't know how he can even stand his shameful self. I really don't.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He is very ignorant and dishonest and should not be taken seriously when knowledge and truth are required.

True, dat.

I guess it explains why his disciples are so keen on Brexit, despite knowing nothing about the intricacies of UK politics (not to mention Ireland's!) ... they know they have to go along with their boss but they can't offer up any explanations as to why. They cry that the EU is an evil empire, it's fascist, it's Soviet, it's socialist and so on.

They still don't get that many socialists voted to leave, seeing the EU as a bureaucratic nightmare that doesn't always live up to its original ideals.

Still, for all its faults, I think it's a shame that the UK will be leaving. But I'd not be calling for a second referendum. The decision has been made and it should be respected. But not rushed.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Trash talking Trump is always good copy for the ubiquitous right wing tabloids that have poisoned the well of British politics for decades, but the supercilious Farage is a self-promoting blow-hard who has little influence among the electorate. Trump's ten cents will thus have no bearing on the election unlike his impeachment which will soon cause alarm among his fair weather UK fans and send them scurrying back into the woodwork.

It might be worth remembering that Labour under Corbyn was miles behind in the polls when May called the last election and eliminated the Tory majority.

I suspect that Corbyn will make up some of three gap, but 2017 is no longer a great comparison. He was something of an unknown quantity back then and May was a disastrous campaigner. Johnson is a very successful election campaigner and asset. Corbyn has also lost a lot of support among those who expected him to be more pro-remain.

"Trump told Farage on the British politician's own radio show that Corbyn would "be so bad for your country ... he'd take you into such bad places.""

Yes, he's a socialist who praised the disastrous socialist government of Venezuela, and who has around 15% approval.

Still, for all its faults, I think it's a shame that the UK will be leaving. But I'd not be calling for a second referendum. The decision has been made and it should be respected. But not rushed.

Cripes, it's been 3 years and 4 months since the referendum, and the leave date of March 31 of this year scuttled by Remainer politicians and again on Oct.31. Shameful.

The DUP is not in favour of remain (except within the UK) and they held the country to ransom.

3 years is nothing. Compare that to the 100 years Ireland has had to endure under Partition.

Do you agree with Mary Lou McDonald that a vote on Irish reunification must be held if there is to be a no deal Brexit?

I think Jeremy Corbyn and his Labour Party should govern the UK, but it’s their call to make. Boris is a racist dinosaur, Farage is a Nazi and Swinson is... who is she again?

Good thing that opinion is a small minority in the UK.

The only way to get this thing done is to vote for us

So the 16+ million who don't want to 'get this thing done' should of course not vote for the Tories. Bozo sez so.

And if the mouth-breathing component of the Leavers will oblige by voting for Nigel and splitting the silly vote, the UK should end up with a sensible pro-EU coalition government.

Should. I'm not putting any money on it.

I was referring to your predilection to post YouTube videos of neonazis in their basements. But the Telegraph, a right wing newspaper owned by billionaires, is just the source. Farage is a fascist lover and Johnson is a racist. Nothing has changed.

Farage doesn’t want to be an MP. He makes far too much money from chumps being upset that he isn’t an MP.
