Sure. The British government will only give asylum to fugitive billionaires from countries like India who land up in their private jets and buy homes in Mayfair or Kensington.

Setting up visa centers in EU to vet and apply for £300 is better, than they pay £3000 to illegally enter with no background checks.

Home Secretary Priti Patel said asylum-seekers who come to Britain through organized, sponsored routes, will have their refugee claims considered promptly. Those who sneak into the country will only be given temporary permission to stay, will receive limited benefits and will be “regularly reassessed for removal from the UK.”

This is what I hope the US does with new immigration laws too. Asking to immigrate is polite. Showing up at the door and demanding it is not.
