Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu alleged that Ukraine plans to use U.S.-made HIMARS and U.K.-provided Storm Shadow missiles to attack Russian territory, including Crimea. He warned that using those missiles on targets outside the current war zone would “trigger immediate strikes on the decision-making centers on the territory of Ukraine.” He didn't elaborate and didn’t provide any evidence to support his claim, similar to his government's earlier threats objecting to deployment of other Western weapons.

Well, the Russians are doing this already, well trying to. So, an empty threat.

Ukraine’s military intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov announced on Ukrainian television that Russia had mined the cooling system of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. “If they blow this up, there’s a high probability we’ll suffer heavy consequences,” Budanov warned. The plant's six reactors are shut down but still need cooling. His claim couldn't be confirmed.

This doesn't bode well. Considering they blew up the dam, I doubt that they would have any qualms with a scorched earth destruction of a nuclear plant.

Drones from Iran made with parts from China. Should we be doing business with these people?

https://edition.cnn.com/2023/06/20/politics/pentagon-ukraine-accounting-error/index.html

“The Pentagon announced Tuesday that the accounting errorrevealed last month was significantly more than previously stated and aid provided to Ukraine was overvalued by $6.2 billion rather than $3 billion.”

And yet we were told every dollar and every bullet was fully and accurately accounted for.

Wouldn't you say that this is Putin's fault? Zelensky didn't offer to be invaded. That was Putin's doing.

Zelensky, taking the post of president, promised his people peace!

Ukrainians have decided to fight for their country.

No, it is not fighting for their country, it's a fighting for the interests of their American governor

I have no doubt that, retreating, the Ukrainian militants will blow up a nuclear power plant.

Ukrainians? Retreating from Zaporizhzhia? Interesting.

Haaa Nemui, I recommend you to read sometimes not only pro- ukr info. There exist a lot of other sources as well. For example try to watch videos with ukrs who surrender en masse. At least the soldats will stay alive...

The Russians attempt to hit fixed civilian targets because it’s all they can do. They cannot accurately target military targets.

They cannot defeat the UA in the field.

So they use low grade drones and repurposed SAMS to terrorize the population and even THAT isn’t working.

Sorry mini-me (and his rubes), Ukraine is going to win this war.

…Russia had mined the cooling system of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

without any regard for civilian lives, now and in the future, it looks like Russia has blown two dams already in order to slow Ukraine’s offensive.

It also seems that Putin may be thinking that when it nears the end and Russia’s total defeat he will blow the nuclear plant before he resorts to using nuclear weapons. When the plant trick doesn’t work his last resort will be going nuclear.

Ukraine needs to be given all the help the need to crush this as soon as possible and send the Russians home yo obscurity!

I repeat. From Zaporizhzhia?

Another victim of one-sided information. On Russian channels, you would have been ignored by the users themselves a long time ago.

I repeat. From Zaporizhzhia

Yes, solntce, yes! Ukrs from Zaporozhje

Kuku - why would Ukraine be retreating from the ZNPP? It's under Russian control still, isn't it?

Kuku - why would Ukraine be retreating from the ZNPP? It's under Russian control still, isn't it?

Quite right, under Russ. But we are talking about Zaporozhye, it's still under Ukr. It's qq 50-60 km from nuklr power plant (Energodar) Ukrs will bomb it with American bombs

Quite right, under Russ. But we are talking about Zaporozhye, it's still under Ukr.

So you’re saying the Russians can’t defend it. Got it.

Kuku

Zelensky can't take responsibility for the actions of Putin.

America has nothing to do with this.

What ol' Jack Burton always says

A nuclear disaster at the power plant would keep Ukraine from joining NATO perhaps permanently.

That's a non sequitur.

A nuclear disaster at the power plant would keep Ukraine from joining NATO perhaps permanently.

Is that what the Russians think? Is that why they’re planning it?

0 ( +5 / -5 )

The Russians are in a desperate rear-guard defense now.

Blowing damns....

"Kamikaze" Tanks (seems to have worked about as well too...)

Attacking civilians with jury-rigged weapons.

Golly, that sounds like the Axis powers at the end of the war.

The Russians are going to lose this war and no amount of talking points from Moscow will change that.

In other developments:

—Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, known by its acronym SVR, invited Ukrainian diplomats stationed abroad to come to Russia with their families to avoid returning to Ukraine. It claimed many Ukrainian diplomats are unwilling to return home after their tours and want refugee status in the European Union and Asian countries where they worked.

It would be interesting to know exactly how many Russians have fled Russia since the war started in February 2022. And that country isn't the one where the missiles are landing.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Let's start dumping these on Moscow.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Kiev propaganda.

$17000 to $150000 reward for captured leopard tanks, but unfortunately they are just blown up.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

ukraine flooded the dam from upstream then with help, blew it up. You do know this right?

Course they did Rodders, course they did.

Weak minded Vatniks will believe anything that Vlad tells them.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

@clippity

Fact one. Ukraine has been attacking the dam, but now has advanced weapons and assistance

fact two. Russia has no gain for (forced) Ukrainian soldiers to enter into newly Russian territory.

fact three. Ukraine’s destruction of the dam is also an environmental disaster.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Fact one.

The problem is young Rodders, that the things that Vlad told you are facts, aren't in fact facts.

That, amongst other places, is where you are going wrong on just about any topic that you ooze into.

Russia controlled the fate of the dam. They blew it up in order to hinder Ukraine's offensive in that region.

Jog along back to Vlad and tell him what I said, there's a good lad.
