Turn off the light Ukraine, the party over, neither country have a winning strategy,

-25 ( +4 / -29 )

Moscow to withdraw its troops to prevent them from being surrounded, leaving behind significant numbers of weapons and munitions in a hasty retreat as the war marked its 200th day on Sunday.

If the above is true it could well be some areas of Ukraine are being liberated from Putin's invading hordes. Which could also be something to worry about because big brother Li'l Vlad has a fragile ego and might send his various marauding armies back to completely level Ukraine, maybe further destroying nuclear power plants, yes I know that could harm Russians, but the little Russian dictator has shown he cares two nothings about anyone other than himself. His palaces probably all have fallout shelters he could slither back into. And sit alone at his big table.

Putin attended the opening of a huge Ferris wheel in a Moscow park on Saturday

Yup, this guy definitely knows what he is doing as the commander in chief of an army in full retreat.

Putin needs to recognize that the only way out is to end his failed war.”

Putin is most likely not going to accept defeat, and. so I pity the Ukrainians that had been kidnaped and are being held in various Russian concentration camps. I wonder whether liberating forces will ever be able to free them. It's not surprising to me that Putin and Xi Jinping use concentration camps, both are dictators after all; along the same lines as Stalin, Hitler and Mao.

Turn off the light Ukraine, the party over, neither country have a winning strategy,

The fact that I am having to take new lessons in Ukrainian geography on an almost hourly basis now just to keep track of all the places they are capturing so quickly suggests otherwise.

It was so much easier when the Russian offensive in Donbass was the main theatre of combat and we just needed to learn the name of one village every six weeks or so.

8 ( +13 / -5 )

neither country have a winning strategy,

Ukraine’s strategy of brains over brawn seems to be working, as they’re retaking lost territory.

Russia's strategy of terror & destruction seems to be a dismal failure.

google locals welcoming Ukrainian liberators with open arms & tears

Run on home, little Orcs. Your pride is dead but at least you are still alive, for now anyway.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Russians again showing that the only military tactic they have any competence in is retreating...

I wonder what excuse the Kremlin is fabricating or telling Putin in his Potemkin Village....

"We have the Ukrainians on the run"....unfortunately they are running over us"...

One has to wonder what the parents of the 30K Russians killed is this debacle are thinking - "why did my son have to die for this fiasco that we're losing"...

Rain, Ukrainain is under a major blackout million have lost electric service in past few hours, with no hope of it return in the near future Google Ukrainain Power Outage

Oh my god. A power blackout? Why didn’t someone say so earlier, this obviously changes everything.

Yup, no need to worry, Russian cheerleaders, while your dear leader was taking his ferris wheel ride parts of Ukraine experienced a blackout and hoping that the inconvenience this causes them will force them to suddenly surrender in the middle of the most succesful military offensive since the Gulf War is now Russia’s main strategy for victory.

Well, routing the Russian's sure looks like a good start.

Oh my god. A power blackout? Why didn’t someone say so earlier, this obviously changes everything.

Yeah, it looks like the power blackout was caused by Russia shelling civilian infrastructure in spite, for the enormous success that Ukraine has been experiencing.

A good tweet:

“Russian army losing so badly that Putin is at risk of losing the support of the Republican Party”

I could care less of the outcome,I just do not like US tax dollars, watsed on a loss cause ,like the last wars ,this money could be spent productive in American causes

-21 ( +3 / -24 )

I just do not like US tax dollars, watsed on a loss cause

Then you will be very happy to hear that not a single US dollar has been given to the Russians to support their war effort.

Sure, but money spent up front will save money in the long run. And, I think you are hasty to come to the conclusion that it is a lost cause.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

just do not like US tax dollars, watsed on a loss cause

this won’t be a lost cause. Putin will be defeated & removed, & there’ll be peace again in Europe

Excellent to see the brave Ukrainians standing up for their land and pushing back against the fascist bully Russians.

Their sovereign homeland means so much to Ukrainians, and they are fighting smart in defending it. They knew this war would not be over in a month, so they dug in for the long haul. No matter how long it takes.

Keep doing what you always do best, Russians - turning and running home.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

I love it, those sneaky Ukrainians smashing those I’ll trained, I’ll supplied, I’ll lead Russian troops. They know they are wrong. I am sure if the boot was on the other foot and they were fighting to protect Russia amazing, but invading hearts not in in it. Go home relax.

Nemo,I could care less about a trashy Russian politician, like Putin , Ukrainain were doomed from the start ,left with 100 of billion of dollars in destruction, the US taxpayers are not gonna pay for

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

Wallace,like they say,the squeaky wheel,get the grease

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

Wallace, why your country,do not finance the war, they are not financing nothing to help the British people

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

Yrral

Wallace, why your country, does not finance the war, they are not financing anything to help the British people.

Wrong!

Since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the UK has given £220 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine to help save thousands of lives.

The UK sent military aid and equipment and is training Ukrainian troops.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

US gave Billions, Billions is a thousand million, training for what,to get killed

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

I heard one unkind comment that support for Putin is a symptom of small man syndrome.

Cruel but interesting.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

training for what,to get killed

well this article shows that clearly the training has failed then. Or you have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m not 100% sure but I have my sneaking suspicion which one it is.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Nemo,I could care less about a trashy Russian politician, like Putin , Ukrainain were doomed from the start ,left with 100 of billion of dollars in destruction, the US taxpayers are not gonna pay for

Forgive us all if we don't believe you. You have been an apologist for Mini-me since the start.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Why are you so caught up about this? What's the alternative? Do you think it's any better?? Think about the long term.

US gave Billions, Billions is a thousand million, training for what,to get killed

7 ( +10 / -3 )

putin spent more money on his villas than funding and training the Russian army and the results show.

Time to overthrow this demented despot and let Russia be run by sane people!!!

7 ( +11 / -4 )

And training Ukraine to fight the Russians so that we don't have to is the best money we could have possibly spent.

But the money spent is not really what gets you and I think everyone who has had to read your "Thoughts" knows that. You are miffed that Mini-me is being exposed for the stupid little fool he actually is.

THAT'S your real beef.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Russian military, much like the Chinese one is strong only on paper.

And like any schoolyard bully they run once punched on the nose!

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Freedom is never a given, you almost always have to fight for it.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

let Russia be run by sane people!!!

I agree with you, but my fear is that there aren’t any sane people in Russia. The last good decent politician died last week

6 ( +10 / -4 )

US gave Billions,

Yeah, and for that money it has stopped a fascist war of aggression by a major power in its tracks before it really even got started.

Imagine if the West had defeated Hitler’s invasion of Poland in its tracks in 1939. It would have saved a lot of lives and money in the long run.

Fortunately we are doing it right this time.

Now that thousands have been evacuated into Russia putin will be retaliating soon against Ukraine.

It's gonna get worse .

When? After North Korea delivers the men and munitions Putin needs?

Russia has relied on the threat of its nuclear arsenal for too long and have forgotten how to fight a conventional war, especially with an increasingly mutinous army.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

It's gonna get worse .

For the Russians. Ukraine ain’t done with them yet.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

For the Russians. Ukraine ain’t done with them yet.

For the record, US, UK, EU, NATO, Raytheon, General Dynamics, MIC, (money printer necessary) AND Ukraine ain’t done with them yet.

Yup, not looking good for the Russians at all.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Great news! Hopefully this will end with Russia ending its barbaric invasion of Ukraine.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Yup, not looking good for the Russians at all.

You’re opinion. Go for it if.

Myself, I’m against war and this will only turn up the heat. So, it’s not looking good for the women and children.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

They are not retreating, they are re-grouping. Just wait

You can almost see the trembling lower lip here.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Retreating is like the order "fall back". But the Ruskies are fleeing and running, abandoning their equipment.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Wallace,as for Ukrainain need support, only insecure people need others to validate, their existence,I do not need my government moral support, why do the people of Ukraine, look for the support of others, and another thing ,if the people of Ukraine are angry about people not caring about their plight, why would anybody want those that do not care their plight ,to care about them in the first place

I don't think anyone here is for the war. But Putin refuses to leave, so Ukraine has to fight. Did you see the faces of joy on the civilians when the Ukrainians were liberating their villages? Ukraine is fighting for their lives.

Europe is not vital too my interest, their an old saying in America,a friend in need,is a friend indeed

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Now that thousands have been evacuated into Russia putin will be retaliating soon against Ukraine.

It's gonna get worse .

For what reason if all the Russians have been evacuated? Supposedly they're safe in Russia now. If he makes it worse for anyone, he makes it worse for everyone... on both sides of the border.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Yrral

Europe is not vital to my interest, there is an old saying in America, a friend in need, is a friend indeed.

Corrected.

American interests are your interests. Without Europe, the American economy would collapse.

America exports $350 billion of goods and services every year. Canada $300 billion. Mexico $275 billion.
