A very sound warning from Ukraine’s Defense Ministry about the importance of following fire safety rules.

Russia doesn't know what happened? Doubtful, they just don't like that they've been infiltrated by Russian speaking Ukrainians multiple times with the ability to cause massive damage to their weapon stores.

OTOH, this all seems to be happening inside Ukraine, so it isn't like Russia has any business being there.

Russia suffered a series of really big ammunition depot explosions in the past few years that were not combat related so it is entirely possible that poor safety practices led to the explosions. The US has had a few of these too. Hard to say not having been there to know if the Ukrainians shot anything at the base or not.

I don’t think anyone is saying the Russians attacked the airbase in Crimea, are they? It was just a burning cigarette. Caused some damage though. Have you seen the pictures? Smoking is definitely hazardous for one’s health.

Indeed. If Zelenski is now using US supplied long-range rockets to attack Russia proper, this is a major escalation. And those "decision-making centers" are staffed by American and other Western advisors who no business being there. Until now, Putin has kept the hardliners away who have been wanting to act much stronger much earlier.

But the American neoncon-neolibs just have to keep on poking the bear.

I suspect sabotage from Crimean's who don't support Russia's war. Not the silliest idea. But that's what the Russians are saying, so, yeah, it could be a stray ciggie.

I think the war will whine down in 3 month,and all the money spent would of been unnecessary,the country with infrastructure intact will be the winner
