Witkoff is an absolutely disgusting individual and a Putinist, although that is redundant. Anything he says should be taken with several tons of salt.

Witkoff is an idiot. How can you trust a man that thinks poo tin is a good man and wants peace.

Trumps agenda is to get his and his supporting oligarchs snouts in to the pig trough of Moscow’s money.

"I feel that (Russian President Vladimir Putin) wants peace," Witkoff told Fox News on Sunday.

Be very clear, Witkoff. No, Putin does not want peace. If that's not clear by now, maybe you should leave peace negotiations to the big boys.

However, Witkoff on Sunday played down concerns among Washington's European NATO allies that Putin might be emboldened by any peace deal in Ukraine to invade other neighbors.

"I just don't see that he wants to take all of Europe. This is a much different situation than it was in World War II," Witkoff said.

You don't see it, Witkoff, because you are an idiot. The rest of the leaders of Europe can see it.

The Russians must be laughing their heads off as they sit accross from Witkoff, a useful idiot with no real skill and experience at diplomacy. He now spouts Russian propaganda like his boss and thinks Putin is a nice guy. Pathetic. The US may as well have sent some clown in a Ronald McDonald outfit, because Russia will wipe the floor with him. And this will not shorten the war but rather embolden Russia. The Ukranians knows this and will be looking on in horror.

Donald Trump wants Ukraine and Russia to agree on a ceasefire by Easter Sunday - as his envoy says 'super-smart' Putin is not a bad guy'.

Seem zelensky s arrogance and bravado totally gone

Yes I would also like an end to this war and all the unnecessary death on both sides.

I guess we need to thank the likes of Anthony Blinken and Boris Johnson, who told Ukraine not to take the early peace deal Russia offered straight after the start of the conflict.

https://mronline.org/2023/02/07/former-israeli-pm-bennett-says-u-s-blocked-his-attempts-at-a-russia-ukraine-peace-deal/

It was wrong to “sabotage” the deal and now Putin will dictate his conditions.

His conditions then are the same as now, so not an opportunity lost. However, after those early peace talks, Ukraine recovered a lot of territory.

So Ukraine made the right decision to heed Anthony Blinken and Boris Johnson.

Moscow is asking a neutral, demilitarized, denazified west Ukraine rump state to be a buffer.

First, we all know the government aren't Nazi's.

And why would Ukraine become neutral and demilitarize with imperial Russia next door? That would be madness.

Why doesn't Russia demilitarize instead? They are the aggressors.

Odd that’s not even close to what was said:

Yes I would also like an end to this war and all the unnecessary death on both sides.”

It is obvious that Putin has neither enough resources nor will to invade Europe. This war has shown the military limits. However, all this talk about a threat of a Russian attack on NATO is convenient both politically and financially to many and so it continues.

This is a much different situation than it was in World War II," Witkoff said.

Very much so, back then there was no NATO on the scene so this is a completely different scenario.

If Ukraine is demilitarized, and the US decides to not honor article 5, what would stop Russia from taking Estonia? How long do you think it would take for Russia to take Moldova if it gets the upper hand in Ukraine. Maybe using Ukrainian troops.

European leaders have experts on this. Witkoff is not an expert.

This is a much different situation than it was in World War II," Witkoff said.

Very much so, back then there was no NATO on the scene so this is a completely different scenario.

And the scenario with NATO this year, is very different to last year.

None of that explains why Ukraine should give up land for no security guarantees.

It is obvious that Putin has neither enough resources nor will to invade Europe.

Treaty ally Romania having a new border with russia would be bad enough.

This is a much different situation than it was in World War II," Witkoff said.

Very much so, back then there was no NATO on the scene so this is a completely different scenario.

But there is a dictator being emboldened by useful idiots like Witkoff.

they lost that land in armed conflict.

Why would the US have to step in to try to give it back?

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

The truth is Ukrainians continue to suffer the consequences of this massacre. And the conflict is a dangerous, unwinnable proxy war undertaken by the Washington against Russia. Praising the big US industrial military complex will make things worse.

A reminder that the top 5 weapons manufacturers in the world are all American, and that Wall Street indexes rose to all time high. And now Washington is trying to loot Ukraine by getting hold of their main resources.

Lets all praise this kind of democracy :)

That is not a rule of international law. International law is that you shouldn't be a marauding pos stealing people's stuff.

Why would the US have to step in to try to give it back?

Nobody is talking about US troops on the ground until a ceasefire is agreed. The US could show some spine and send the equipment to make that ceasefire possible.

Still Putin's War

A reminder that the top 5 weapons manufacturers in the world are all American, and that Wall Street indexes rose to all time high.

And the next 5 are Chinese.

So Trump bad. Got it.

Russia would not attack Estonia. The country is a NATO member. Article 5 applies and it would be honored by the other members. There is no discussion on that and no real need for speculation on scenarios that will not happen.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

what? Until a ceasefire?

no, That’s a NEVER.

We have been sending equipment for 3 years. At present there is no discussion about US troops on the ground even after the ceasefire.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

send the equipment to make that ceasefire possible.

what have we not already sent or not already done?

and if it’s just to get a ceasefire with intention to send American troops in there, why would we even bother?

that’s not gonna happen.
