Most likely they have been brainwashed to believe the lies the Kremlin have been telling them since they were children, and are not capable of thinking their enemies have a level of humanity their Russian leaders never had. Russian leaders seem to have brainwashed their people similarly to how Iranian, North Korean and Chinese leaders have brainwashed theirs. Ultra nationalistic and authoritarian regimes blind people, taking away their humanity and limiting them to be automatons programmed to do whatever their master directs them to do. But in fairness, it appears many Russians, at least the handful still able to reason for themselves, have left Russia so they do not have to become cannon fodder for Putin and the Kremlin. Some Russian soldiers have surrendered, probably thinking being alive trumps being dead, and that dying for a madman leading a vicious regime, even if their sins will be forgiven for having done so, is not a reasonable option.

The Iraqis had huge trench fortifications at the outset of Desert Storm. Coalition armored forces simply bulldozed them over with dozer blades attached to the front of the leading tanks. They buried any Iraqi troops in those trenches. Special tanks with line charges destroyed any mines or obstacles laid out to block armor. Once the line charge detonated the tanks could drive through unimpeded, bulldozing trenches on the way. It is almost like the Russians learned nothing from Desert Storm.

The difficult thing about Russia having a nuclear forces exercise at this point in the Russo-Ukraine war is how does NATO determine where the exercise ends and preparations for a no-kidding nuclear attack begin? What we do not know is if NATO members either individually or as a group quietly through diplomatic channels told the Russians, ok have your exercise but if you do certain specified things NATO will assume you are about to stage a nuclear attack and respond accordingly. The US delayed some scheduled Minuteman III stockpile reliability tests earlier this year so there could be no mistake by China that the US was about to attack then during the Chinese response to visit by Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. Russia could very well hide preparations for a real attack among the drills it is conducting.

THe Kroforces are storming Kherson since September, almost daily attacks of two - three battalions'- size battlegroups. So far more than 10-15 thousands killed and wounded, a couple of hundreds of destroyed tanks and other AFVs, and almost zero results. It seems the Russians learned a lot from the Desert Storm and the Ukrainians and their U.S. advisers just remained on the level of 1991.

There are plenty of reports, it’s just whether you choose to believe them or write them off as “MSM propaganda” and we all already know which way you’ll lean.
