....and the Taliban care how much about what all these people think?
Yubaru
Sadly the women and children will always suffer under the hands of regimes like the Taliban.
Waah
There a lot to care about in this world, other than how should Taliban apply to "Mr White Supremacist view" on women!
Aren't these same women in desperate need for economic support and help, why don't they hold an emergency meeting on that?!

The might of the US army against a bunch of goatherders with Soviet-era Kalishnikovs. The women of Afghanistan back out of school and back into their burkas.
Tell me again how they will fare against the 80 million (many of them veterans or current/ ex law enforcement) gun owners and their 400,000,000 guns again, please.

There goes the UN stirring up trouble and meddling with the taliban and making an excuse to get involved again !

Newest crackdown.
According to multiple news sources, their Ministry for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, said on Thursday that authorities “have instructed that men and women be segregated in restaurants . . . Even if they are husband and wife.”
The ministry cleared up their earlier park restrictions, by now saying that women are only allowed in parks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday;" and that women wanting to exercise any other day should find a “safe place or do it in their homes.”

Earlier, on Wednesday, according to India's The Khaama Press, a handfull of afghan women who staged a demonstration in Kabul against the decision to make hijab mandatory were surrounded by Taliban forces, who reportedly ripped down their banners and took the women inside the ministry to force them to confess. Journalists covering the event were also arrested.
According to UCANews, women arrested for demonstrating have been held incommunicado weeks and months while denying that they had been detained.

Clarifying my earlier post:
According to UCANews articles, women arrested for demonstrating in Afghanistan have been held incommunicado for weeks and months, while the Taliban denied that the women had been detained.

Muslim women in France are being banned from any public office if seen with headscarfs, and fined if seen with burqa. Now is this a fair treatment of women?! At least Taliban doesn't claim to be democratic.
The question is : why such mistreatments of women in such countries aren't on the news?

Current status in France of full-face veil bans in public, via CNN:
Authority as to this being a choice versus a requirement under Islam:

The point is; why do they force women to wear or not to wear anything, regardless if it's required by their religion or not?
If western governments have the right to designate a certain wear for women to not to wear, then why on earth blame Taliban for doing the same?
The big question would be : why do we have, as diverse and different as we are, to adopt a particular way of life or standard, namely westerners?

Some jobs have uniforms and making the customer uncomfortable isn't good.
Forcing women to wear clothing they don't like is an attack. OTOH, I've had a number of jobs that required a specific uniform, which I didn't like to wear, but I did in exchange for the paycheck. The women working there had the same uniform, BTW.
If everyone in Afghanistan agreed with wearing burkas, then there wouldn't be any issue, but clearly lots of people disagree. All because old Islamic men get excited seeing the face and perhaps the outline of women? They cannot control their urges? It obviously isn't an Islamic thing, since lots of other places in the world have Muslim women not wearing burkas or hijabs. What's the point, besides men telling women what they have to wear?
You don't. Wear whatever you like. Just don't expect others to be comfortable when you don't conform to local norms and don't expect the uniform for a govt job to change.

The UN should simply withhold all aid to Afghanistan until women are granted equal rights with men.

"The UN should simply withhold all aid to Afghanistan until women are granted equal rights with men"
Let them all suffer and starve if they don't apply with mr Supremacist rule of conduct!!

If the Taliban want the money
These global financial assistance was agreed upon with the previous Afghan government on the condition that it should help the Afghan people - both men and women
If the new Afghan government don't do their part of the condition, then the world don't owe them the financial assistance
