China and Russia are taking advantage of vax inequality by promoting own products. Hungary is the first EU state to receive China's shinopharm vaccines.

The Russian vaccine has been proven over 90% effective by a study in the UK Lancet journal, it's half the price of the Pfizer vaccine, can be stored at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius and has no reported serious side effects after millions of doses delivered.

But, Putin.

while i agree that poor/developing countries need help in procuring the vaccine...but not right now. the amount of suffering due to job loss, education loss, and the loss of physical contact is extracting a heavy toll on wealthy/developed countries. these poorer countries aren't dealing with these same issues; therefore, they can wait a bit longer for vaccines.

Probably would be helpful if Canada's Trudeau didn't take a bunch of vaccines from Covax. Canada has slipped into third world status and had to get vaccines from the UN.

Russia has already graciously exported Sputnik V to 26 countries.

Just as with the original Sputnik satellite in 1957, the Russians have once again beaten the Anglo-Americans to the punch and there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth in London and D.C.!

The main problem is that the high functioning rich countries give billions of dollars in aid to low functioning poor countries...and because their governments or dictators squander the money and keep it for themselves, families and crony friends. It will never end.

Lets get this straight. 1st world countries developed the vaccine, and now they're supposed to wait in line behind failed states who have more important things to take care of like war, corruption, and human rights abuses?

Do I have that right?

No matter what, under whatever circumstances, inequity will always be around.

No matter how hard people want to eradicate it, inequity will always remain everywhere in this impossible world..

My statement was right on and so is Bob's.

@Bob: I guess all the guests here from third world countries disagree on our opinions and that is ok. But I am certainly not going to give them any sort of donations/charity until they fix their very very poor governments that put them in poverty.

the high functioning rich countries

Do you know what the adjective ‘high functioning’ means?

Hint: It’s not positive.
