OTOH, the US has no responsibility to accept everyone who shows up or even to allow them into the country. Anyone inside the US illegally should be deported, immediately. They can file appeals from outside the US, in their home country, at the US embassy/mission there.

No all of them. The border the use to enter, shouldn't matter. Dock, airport, land-crossing ... or sneaking in. Either they have legal status to enter or they don't. Lying about a reason to enter the US immediately makes that short-term visa illegal. For example, if someone flies into the US, says they are going to stay for 3 weeks, provides a hotel name/address on their immigration form, then disappears, then they are in the US illegally, just like anyone swimming across the Rio Grand in south Texas.

Anyone in the US illegally, should be deported immediately. Period. Anyone providing them with work should get a $50K/person fine (or more if they are paid more/yr) Congress has a duty to make all the carrots for illegal immigration disappear. Do your job Congress.

So that makes it ok for Texas businesses to employ illegals or at the Mar-a-Lago.

My grandparents just showed up in the US. That is how it was done. You got on a steamship, sailed for weeks and took your chances at Ellis Island or Angel Island. They left because they were starving and their kind wanted to send my grandfather off to fight his colonial wars in Africa. My grandparents wanted no part of if and left. Economic refugees, oh the horror. Five of their 11 children died including a pair of twins who died on the ship due to an outbreak of the flu. They were called all kinds of unkind names, discriminated against, disparaged exactly the same way immigrants both legal and illegal are today. They were despised for their religion, their dark skin and short stature, their language (my grandmother and at least one older cousin I just barely remember never spoke a word of English, except Grandma could swear in English ( ! ). Funny how we learn the bad words first, she just never learned the rest. Didn't need to in the immigrant community.

So when I see some multigenerational American tut-tut "illegal immigrants" I just shake my head. The democratic plan to buy votes with illegal immigration is pathetic. Trying to illegally give them the right to votes before being a citizen is illegal as well. Mind you some of my best friends come from all races.

The DNC gets 40% of the vote from the 40% of the population that works in state, local and federal jobs. It should be easy enough to get to 51% of the vote you would think. Throw on all of the welfare state and it should be a lock. However they have to resort to immigration tactics just to get the other 11%. Guess it shows how the majority of society is a little smarter than they think.

Giving away our country with debt to fund all this ridiculous will resolve the problem soon This is for sure unsustainable as they like to say. This is close to self resolution. If the treasury has to pay 10% on 30 Trillion it is 3 trillion annually. Total federal revenue is 4 Trillion now. That leave 1 Trillion for entitlements, defense etc. See ya later social security.
