I find it odd that at no point does this article point out that the bill was over 5000 pages long and included clauses that were snuck in that had nothing to do with relief such as "violating copyright laws with unauthorized online streaming will become a felony punishable by five years in prison for first offenses" not to mention more tax breaks for larger companies that have already had relief.

I wish people would be more pragmatic on these issue, yes trump is a moron but he actually has a valid point, the people should be getting more money and clauses shouldn't be thrown into the bill to simply help out interest groups and big business.

Trump continues to try to do even more damage to the US. He's leaving the country worse off than it's been in modern history.

Much to the delight of dictators around the globe and their alt right followers. Including 'American' 'journalists' and dog whistling Internet cartoon characters.

Trump's absolute lack of concern for anyone but himself and total disregard for his supporters sending him money should by now be obvious to anyone with the even tiniest ability to reason beyond a seven year old's level.

13 ( +26 / -13 )

I thought Trump has lost his marbles. I was wrong, it's much worse, he's on a scorched earth binge and he's going to destroy the GOP and what's left of goodwill the GOP have. He knows they're not going to back him at the next election.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Trump golfs while America continues to burn.

11 ( +20 / -9 )

He was fine with causing the longest shutdown in US history over a wall that will never happen. Now he’s concerned with wasting money.

If you eat pork sausages everyday you can’t suddenly complain that they have pork in them.

11 ( +20 / -9 )

The fact is Trump could veto it now so Congress can override it. By doing nothing he creates a situation where there is a "pocket veto" after he doesn't act for 10 days. Then it goes to Congress so he they can override it.

Any way you slice it, Trump is just simply wasting time and hurting Americans. He is a psetty, cruel, vile human being.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

It's time to tell the truth and tell it loudly - Trump is insane and needs to be removed from office.

9 ( +18 / -9 )

American rejected Trump, and now Trump is trying to take America down.

9 ( +17 / -8 )

It’s a chess game and we are pawns,

trump doesn’t have the brains to pay chess, it’s just another tantrum, one of the many we will see in the next 25 days.

the toddler has been denied his treat and is unhappy!!!

"If we can't play by my rules, then I am going to burn the house down and go home."

9 ( +15 / -6 )

Hilarious that you embrace socialism when it’s done by someone you unquestioningly support, which is any person that liberals disagree with.

Spot on.

However, the signal has been given and it's only a matter of time before the thread is disabled.

Thoughts and solidarity to the millions facing an uncertain future.

I have to wonder how many of his voters are in danger of losing their unemployment benefits and, perhaps, of being evicted. And, if they live through this, will Trump's supporters remember his actions in 2024?

8 ( +14 / -6 )

American rejected Trump, and now Trump is trying to take America down.

I am not one of Mr. Trumps supporters by any means, but I honestly don't think that is the case. He is seeking retribution against Senate Republicans. He thinks they abandoned him by not showing sufficient zeal in pursuing his many voter fraud conspiracies. He has a special grudge against Mitch McConnell for calling Mr. Biden the President Elect. In return Mr. Trump will now make their lives miserable by forcing them work through the weekend right after Christmas and into the New Year's holiday while he makes a deliberate public spectacle of golfing while they tear their hair out back in Washington DC.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Trump had plenty of time to make his position clear while Democrats and Republicans were negotiating. It's wild that the now brings up his objections after a deal is agreed to.

The GOP is simply broken. Surely Trump or his reps would have been communicating with Mnuchin and McConnell. All indications are that Trump suddenly changed his mind at the last minute. I enjoy his support of more support for the working class, but it seems more like a desperate political ploy that anything else. Either way, I'll go along with it to help Americans before Trump leaves.

So now we are stuck. McConnell can't bring Trump's version to a vote without humiliating himself. Trump could veto it and Congress could override it, but it looks like he's just going to wait until the last possible minute which will make Americans suffer to the greatest extent.

The GOP is a broken party. Their days are numbered.

8 ( +13 / -5 )

During the weeks of contentious negotiations over this relief bill, president Trump was mainly focused on his false claims of election fraud, golfing and did not weigh in on the bill. His new demand for more generous stimulus can be seen as laying the groundwork for another pseudo-populist presidential run in 2024, or simply an attempt to damage Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell ahead of special elections in Georgia after McConnell acknowledged Trump’s defeat.

Just more of the same from the sociopathic failed president.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Being a normal, rational person does not make someone a "liberal."

8 ( +10 / -2 )

What makes you think the pork was added by Democrats?

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Trump's absolute lack of concern for anyone but himself and total disregard for his supporters sending him money should by now be obvious to anyone with the even tiniest ability to reason beyond a seven year old's level

the trouble is, most of his supporters have the mentality of a six year old

7 ( +17 / -10 )

This’ll help boost support for his 2024 win. Is that the plan? A true 4d chess master eh.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Now how would you know what the man is thinking or what his intentions are? You don’t know, now in your personal opinion, I get it,

Says the person who claims to speak group mindedly for 70 million people and has known exactly what the Democrats are thinking since his father told him back in the 70’s.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

You are filled with unfaltering adoration for the guy

Yup!

Here's the heart of the problem. We've got millions of people in the U.S. who have some weird admiration for this con artist. And the more these MAGA ditto heads love him, the more Republican politicians feel they just HAVE to kiss this con artist's back side. No matter how insane the behavior.

Does anyone actually believe that Trump is objecting to this bill because of some principled stand he's taking? That he cares deeply for the American public? Nah, not even magadittoheads believe that. No, this is just another of many of Trump's litmus tests. Are MY people in congress, MY judges, and MY cabinet sufficiently loyal to ME?

Trump cultists love this stuff. Makes them feel reassured to be part of the tribe.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Along that binary line of 'reasoning', anyone, other than those who want to further undermine democracy that sees anything positive in what Trump's doing now must be a keyboard warrior for one of the globe's authoritarian regimes, or one of the regime's alt right supporters.

Trump has trolled democracy and the presidency. He thought his dictatorial business style, which could fail at any time because he believed he had people like oligarchs and controllable people like bankers in Germany, in his pocket, was allowed. America isn't the fascist state he believed.

Trump never had any idea how to be a president within a US democracy. He loved the label of being President, he didn't actually care for the country, and more importantly, never has understood what the United States of America is about. It isn't about lies and narratives and self importance as a priority for a leader. He's not a supreme leader, even thought he wanted to be. He isn't an American patriot, that's for sure.

Eventually, most will realize, even his most stubborn supporters, that those lies and acts of idiocy which has been a staple of his administration, is wrong. They admit the problem and vote him out.

The one's who remain are 100% minions. Few, if any, views of logic, an incapability of gathering information and making a decision of truth. Zero critical thought. They'll cherry pick and bring the false narrative and be ridiculous.

6 ( +13 / -7 )

This is different. This is not a constant monthly entitlement giveaway. This is more of an exception rather than a much wanted liberal policy.

Ah, the signal. Socialism is now a liberal policy. Except when it's used by Trump. It's something different, unique, right?

Now how would you know what the man is thinking or what his intentions are?

The same way you know, every day and in every observation.

You don’t know, now in your personal opinion, I get it, but Trump is the one that is pushing for $2,000 not the Dems or the GOP for that matter. Keep trying....smh...

If Trump truly cared, he'd dig into his own pockets. Wouldn't that be an amazing and redemptive legacy?

But no, he's reverting to type and throwing another tantrum, thus putting more lives in jeopardy.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

$85.5 million for assistance to Cambodia, $134 millionto Burma, $1.3 billion for Egypt and the Egyptian military, which will go out and buy almost exclusively Russian military equipment. $25 million for democracy and gender programs in Pakistan, $505 million to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. $40 million for the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, which is not even open for business. $1 billion for the Smithsonian and an additional $154 million for the National Gallery of Art. Likewise, these facilities are essentially not open.”

So then why would Trump even sign this garbage?$600 what a joke, what an insult!

Take another look at the 2019 spending bill. I’m sure you’ll find plenty in that to get annoyed about. Or the one before that, or the one before that. Making it an issue now is ridiculous but hardly surprising.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

When he screws up on something I do criticize him and done so in the past.

Please provide examples of your criticism ‘when he screwed’ with active links.

And no, don’t tell me it’s my (or our) responsibility to find such posts.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

How about we see a little less raging and a little more packing? Moving day is just around the corner now. Save your stupid tantrums for when nobody has to care about them anymore.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

There is a 'third option' Trump might be using.

A bill presented to the President that is neither signed or vetoed will, as long as Congress is still in session, automatically become law after 10 days have passed with no signature.

https://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/presidential_signature.htm

If Congress ends their session within those 10 days, it's known as a 'pocket veto,' but both houses of Congress would have to agree to it. I can guarantee you Pelosi won't do that.

So either Trump sits on it for 10 days to raise a ruckus (most likely his goal), or he signs, or he kicks it back. If he doesn't sign and it passes into law, he can continue to rail to his gullible supporters how he was 'fighting for them' while also 'fighting pork' and other garbage.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Simple solution: pelosi, schumer, congress can trim the intentional pork they put in this so-called relief package and distribute the money where it rightfully goes which is to the American people, not to foreigners.

Hmm. Presumably you live here in Japan.

Did you accept the 100,000 Yen from the government here, earlier in the pandemic?

Simple question.

As for sending aid overseas, it's something countries who claim to be world leaders and the best, the most richest, do.

Has America truly lost its humanity, alongside everything else?

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Liberals don’t care, they think money grows on trees and we should print more, but they want to save the trees?

Allow me to acquaint you with the Equation of National Income. This equation is how the GDPs of every nation is calculated.

GDP = C + I + G + ( EX - IM ).

In words, GDP is the sum of Consumption, Investment, Government spending and net exports. A recession is defined as two or more consecutive quarters of zero or negative GDP growth. So if GDP is declining that usually means C and I are both declining. What do you do when C and I are declining? You increase G. Increasing G increases GDP by more than the increase in G. How? The companies who receive that extra money from the government in the form of government contracts pay their employees who go out and buy things, increasing C. Likewise direct payments show up in an increase in C, and their buying keeps other businesses from laying off workers. It also makes the investment environment a bit more attractive. That is why during recessions smart governments use fiscal policy to stimulate the economy and stop the recession.

The flip side of this is that when GDP growth returns and is stable, taxes need to be raised and the debt run up during the recession paid down. The US never does this. Instead when strong economic growth returns and revenues start to increase politicians generally call for "tax relief". There is no discipline to pay debts down and that is true of both parties.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

*Ah, the signal. Socialism is now a liberal policy.

Fiscal stimulus isn't socialism. Socialism is government ownership of the means of production, meaning no private enterprise and all employees work directly for the state. Often socialism includes no private property ownership. Fiscal stimulus, and even social welfare programs are not socialism. They are completely separate matters.

What kills me is the fixation on anything that can be pitched as even remotely somehow related to socialism. It is this great big boogeyman that doesn't exist in the US. It really doesn't. But probably as economically dangerous a problem the US does face is lack of effective competition in major consumer markets. In short, oligopoly. That is real and the monopoly rents the several big oligopolies are able to collect as a result of their market power represent the largest wealth transfer, from consumers to producers, in the US today. Neither party seems interested in challenging this problem however and it seems only economists even talk about it.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The miseducation in the USA about this label "socialism" is absurd.

When he screws up on something I do criticize him

He is refusing to leave now, so that's a screwup. Also, he pardoned a person who murdered a child. But it's going to be funny watching Trump kicking and screaming when dragged out of the WH like dragging a child out of Disneyland when it's time to go home.

Those are two big screwups I can think of. Also, where's the wall?

5 ( +8 / -3 )

I only feel sorry for those that NEVER once in those two elections voted for that man-child Trump. For those that did vote for Trump and were especially proud of their choice, this is Karma knocking on their door. I also feel bad for their dependant children which will suffer because of their parents' choices.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump is really waging war against the Repubs....

First, he tells McConnell and McCarthy that he supports the Stimulus Bill with $600 - then after all the deal making is done, goes back on his word and sides with the Dems at $2K...throwing the knife into the backs of Mnuchin who negotiated it, and McConnell and McCarthy who supported it...

It also really undercuts McConnell and the Repubs trying to keep the Senate. What are Perdue and Loeffler going to do - they both voted for the $600 bill - an they now going to flip or disagree with Trump and angering his base? Well one made a choice - Loeffler "flipped"....

So Trump wages war with the Repubs as the RNC tries to get Repub voters to the polls on Jan 5th...

It's a nightmare for McConnell and Team Red...all courtesy of Trump...

That's some going away present...

Not content with overseeing the deaths of 320 thousand, he's adding to the misery by adopting this stance.

Dig into your own pockets if you are that concerned, Mr billionaire.

4 ( +17 / -13 )

Yes, there are many problem with the bills. Problems that could have been fixed 6 months ago and any time since.

This bills also included extending the eviction moratorium. A moratorium which by the way, many landlords ignored anyway. Now there will be millions of evictions starting next week. Evictions while the death toll is climbing at a record rate. In the middle of winter.

And as mentioned in this article, the bills also included more money to expedite the delivery of the vaccine. Which will now not happen.

To summerize:

-NO unemployment money

-NO eviction protection

-NO vaccine

-Record number of deaths

-High unemployment

Money for relief due to COVID lockdowns and suspension should not be contingent on regular budget proposals

WRONG

GOP blocks $2,000 stimulus checks

(news source)

Trump is really screwing things up since he's refusing to leave and it's messing up the transition process to the next president which is seriously damaging the fight against COVID-19 in the USA. And all Trump is doing now is pouting about his loss as he's refusing to leave, hiding in Mar-o-Lago, and playing golf 24/7 instead of doing his job.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

The media prefers a simple minded audience, Trump = bad, therefore everything else = good.

The above an example of global alt rightists' 'reasoning'. They want to try to get the intellectually vulnerable audience they post for to follow their belief system where issues are viewed from only opposite and extreme poles, no in-betweens, no grays.

Along that binary line of 'reasoning', anyone, other than those who want to further undermine democracy that sees anything positive in what Trump's doing now must be a keyboard warrior for one of the globe's authoritarian regimes, or one of the regime's alt right supporters.

3 ( +15 / -12 )

sZero25 - I disagree, trump does not have a valid point, he is only posturing to make his followers think that he's for the common man. If he were really interested he would have been more actively involved in the negotiations from the beginning pushing for more money which his GOP denied the Dems, instead he was crying about his being a loser. That's why Pelosi quickly agreed to the 2K and is calling trump's bluff. If he were really interested in the welfare of all Americans he would have made his voice heard about the 2K way earlier and not at the last minute which threatens another government shut down.

3 ( +14 / -11 )

The Republicans bear the majority of the blame for this.

They are trying to do a head-spinning pivot back to the fiscal conservative, Tea Party, pre-Trump years and opposing the $2000 individual stimulus. Of course they had no complaints about Trump running up the deficit for years with corporate welfare. Helping the public is a different matter. When Trump came out in favor of it out of spite they were put in a bind.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

I find it odd that at no point does this article point out that the bill was over 5000 pages long and included clauses that were snuck in that had nothing to do with relief such as "violating copyright laws with unauthorized online streaming will become a felony punishable by five years in prison for first offenses" not to mention more tax breaks for larger companies that have already had relief.

The bill in question is more than just a Covid relief measure. It is appropriation act for the entire FY21 Federal Budget except for the DoD, which was supposed to be funded separately through the National Defense Appropriations Act or NDAA, which the President vetoed. Covid relief is attached to this bill but the bill has to fund all the functions of the US Government. That is why you see things like foreign aid and funding for the Kennedy Center.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

What makes you think the pork was added by Democrats?

It was added by Trump. More specifically all the billions for the non-existent wall. Also, all the billions spent on election fraud investigation which could not be proved. Trump failed with the COVID-19 fight especially with crazy ideas like treating it with Mr. Clean and even China is doing better with the COVID-19 fight than Trump.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

It sure seems like Team Trump/Pelosi/Schumer/The Squad are really taking it to those skinflint Repubs...

Who would have thought that after ranting about the radical socialist Democrats, Trump would side with them, and then double-down on it today...

https://news.yahoo.com/trump-doubles-down-2k-coronavirus-180926153.html

I guess we now have three teams; Team Blue, Team Red, and the Trump/Pelosi/AOC team - Team Purple...

I wonder who's team the Trump supporters are on?

3 ( +7 / -4 )

things I’m sure the average American citizen didn’t vote to have their tax money wasted on.

Yes, like the wall where Trump hired illegal armed Mexicans to guard it, and look at the damage from Trump refusing to leave the WH.

Money for relief due to COVID lockdowns and suspension should not be contingent on regular budget proposals

WRONG

GOP blocks $2,000 stimulus checks

The only problem is the reality that its been an unmitigated disaster

You can say that again, especially with the government funded wall that Trump failed to build. But it works well with healthcare like in Japan. Trump people come to Japan and they use the government healthcare system.

Pakistan receiving money for gender programs

Really? How much money is this? I want to hear more. Will it be used for gender changing surgery? We want the details.

Also, when is Trump going to investigate Hillary for exploiting children in PizzaGate? Trump has failed and he is failing now from refusing to leave the WH.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

and gooo democrats!

They would gooo but Trump needs to leeeeaaaave the WH first and he's refusing to do so. It's so funny that months ago I would say that Trump will NOT leave if he loses the general election and Trump people would get on my case about it and pout. But now that he is not leaving they are no longer making fun of me. Watching Trump throwing his tantrums now is entertaining like watching little kids throw tantrums in the cereal aisle in the grocery store from not being allowed to have their froot loops.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

He does not want to sign because of all the add-ons in the 5000 plus pages that have nothing to do with Covid relief.

The public is being trolled and you are falling for the distortions. The bill isn't just about Covid relief. It funds the entire Federal government for the remaining three fiscal quarters of FY21. That is why it is 5000 pages and has all those other government functions in there.

Nobody in government can legally obligate the taxpayers money to pay for anything without Congress passing an appropriations act that specifically appropriates money for that purpose. In an ideal world, Congress would pass an appropriation act for each department and send that to the President for his signature or veto. In recent years Congress hasn't be able to come to agreement on separate appropriation acts for each department. This year Congress could only agree on the appropriations for the DoD. That is what the NDAA or National Defense Appropriations Act is. The President of course vetoed it the other day. Appropriations for all the other departments in the Federal Government are rolled up into one big "Omnibus" appropriations act which includes the $900 something million for Covid relief. That is why if the President doesn't sign this piece of legislation not only will there be no Covid relief but there will be no money appropriated to operate any part of the Federal Government.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

It's funny watching Trump haters squirm because we all know they want $2000 rather than $600, and Trump is the one pushing for it! They want the money but they also want to hate him!

Conversely, it's a source of bemusement to watch Trump supporters applaud the socialist-baiting demagogue call for yet another socialist package to aid the dying and starving.

He's not doing this because of empathy. He's doing it to own the libs. Something which his supporters have commended him for, on numerous occasions, on this very site.

Both the Democrats and Republicans are to blame because both parties only care about their wealthy donors and both parties have placed politics ahead of the health and welfare of the American people. Instead of servants of the people, both Republican and Democratic politicians are servants of the wealthy and they themselves try to accumulate as much wealth as they can.

It is the kind of bill where lobbyists earn their $1 million/ year pay. There is so much rediculous pork added on at the behest of lobbyists that Trumo has no other option but to veto it until some more pork is added; something like a billion in support for south Florida golf courses. Why not, that would just be pennies compared to the pork in this bill.

I can tell you some real stories about your favorited socialism and the accompanying phantasies. In addition, although many U.S. citizens now line up in ‘hunger’ to grab some care packages with daily foods and necessities, have a look at all of them, with what extravaganza cars and personal clothing they are waiting in line. If they would simply sell only one of their families’ luxury automobile and change into a normal average priced car as they are seen in all other countries, they could easily stand five pandemics and go to the noblest restaurants in the city on a daily base, making even Trump or Biden envying them. lol

Socialism is the "workers" ownership of production. Karl Marx.

Socialism means providing affordable accommodations, healthcare and education and taking care of the elderly, disabled and those less fortunate.

Socialism is people being treated equally.

Sounds great. The only problem is the reality that its been an unmitigated disaster resulting in mass death/murder, misery and draconian government wherever its been tried. Aside from that, Marxism is like, really neat!

From a few weeks ago.

Sen. Bernie Sanders admitted that fellow Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were responsible for delaying urgently needed coronavirus relief by walking away from the White House’s offer of a $1.8 trillion coronavirus package.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper Monday, the socialist two-time presidential candidate noted Pelosi’s hypocrisy in endorsing a smaller bipartisan $908 million deal last week after rejecting the twice-as-large proposal from President Trump in October.

“Democrats walked away from that deal because they wanted $2.2 trillion,” Tapper said.

“That’s right!” Sanders (I-Vt.) responded, confirming it was Democrats, not Republicans, who were to blame for months of inaction.

“They walked away from $1.8 trillion, was that a mistake?” Tapper asked.

“That’s what I’m saying. That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Sanders said.

“Here was a proposal much, much larger. Democrats said, ‘No, that’s not good enough,'” he continued.

Lawmakers are trying to pass another coronavirus stimulus bill in the remaining weeks before the Christmas break but have yet to reach an agreement after more than eight months of gridlock.

Democrats have been unwilling to shift from their demand for $2.2 trillion in relief and have rejected two smaller proposals from Senate Republicans that would have included more targeted relief for small businesses.

Months of negotiations between Pelosi (D-Calif.) and White House point person Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin also failed to yield a break-through, causing Trump to accuse Pelosi of “not negotiating in good faith.”

Sanders and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) have both threatened to block any aid package that does not include another round of popular $1,200 stimulus checks.

All these delays, all the govt shutdowns, are all caused by pelosi who intentionally stalls, muddles and opposes anything and everything and all without the best interest of the American people on mind.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

So please call your lawmaker so they sign this huge pork bill and dish out millions to the megacorps (which is us, the media)

Works everytime.

But now it seems Congress is quite content on dishing out $600 you’d think the Dems would want more for the people, but then again, it’s not for the people, never was really....

-11 ( +7 / -18 )

This is what reasonable people know.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) stated that he believes Americans should receive $2,000 direct payments, and that if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) removes the pork from the spending package, “she’ll get overwhelming Republican support. She’ll certainly have my support, but just to add a $2,000 payment instead of a $600 payment to the pork that’s in the bill is just unacceptable.”

Buck said, “I absolutely am in favor of giving the American people $2,000. I think it’s the right move. I think the president’s absolutely right, but that’s only part of what the president is suggesting. Nancy Pelosi gave the members of the House just a few hours to read 6,000 pages of legislation. She did that because she had stuffed this bill full of pork. … What the president is saying is, make America first. Bring America — make America the priority, so stop funding foreign projects in a COVID relief bill, knock that out, and take that money and use it to fund the — and give the American people a $2,000 check. If Nancy Pelosi does that, I think she’ll get overwhelming Republican support. She’ll certainly have my support, but just to add a $2,000 payment instead of a $600 payment to the pork that’s in the bill is just unacceptable.”

Unreasonable people try to spin it, intentionally try to muddle it, and try to fight against logic and reason.

> Take another look at the 2019 spending bill. I’m sure you’ll find plenty in that to get annoyed about. Or the one before that, or the one before that. Making it an issue now is ridiculous but hardly surprising

Which has nothing to do with congress not doing their job, nice deflection there. Kudos.

Says the person who claims to speak group mindedly for 70 million people

Not me personally, but from every other report and star, not to mention his Twitter and other conservatives media social outlets, sure looks like it.

*Ah, the signal. Socialism is now a liberal policy. *

Yes

Except when it's used by Trump. It's something different, unique, right?

Because generally speaking it’s not a policy liberals support, even now, so in a sense you are right about what it is to a certain degree, but the GOP doesn’t want and shouldn’t make this a standard practice.

The same way you know, every day and in every observation.

Different, you were alluding to as if it was a known fact and you don’t know what the mans personal intentions are, but given the fact he’s pushing congress to change $600 to $2,000 would highly indicate he does care..

If Trump truly cared, he'd dig into his own pockets.

Biden has even more money as does Pelosi, Bezos, Dorsey, Zuckerberg, Bloomberg, Oprah they all could and have plenty more than Trump, why are they not throwing money at the needy if these libs truly cared?

But nope....

But no, he's reverting to type and throwing another tantrum, thus putting more lives in jeopardy

Rightfully so, get Congress to step it up.

Conversely, it's a source of bemusement to watch Trump supporters applaud the socialist-baiting demagogue call for yet another socialist package to aid the dying and starving.

This is different. This is not a constant monthly entitlement giveaway. This is more of an exception rather than a much wanted liberal policy.

He's not doing this because of empathy. He's doing it to own the libs.

Now how would you know what the man is thinking or what his intentions are? You don’t know, now in your personal opinion, I get it, but Trump is the one that is pushing for $2,000 not the Dems or the GOP for that matter. Keep trying....smh...

Unfortunately pelosi has a lot of power and more unfortunately she wields it dangerously and recklessly to the point of hurting the American people. She can very easily get rid of the pork and easily help out the American people.

You are filled with unfaltering adoration for the guy

Yup!

which is why you refuse to call out his incompetence or repugnance.

When he screws up on something I do criticize him and done so in the past.

You embrace socialism

Sorry, I don’t and already explained my position on the matter

It’s a standard practice every time the GOP tanks the economy, like in 2007-8 and 2020.

Liberals don’t care, they think money grows on trees and we should print more, but they want to save the trees?

It would highly indicate that he’s simply disrupting, which is what he’s done for the past 3+ years with your cheering.

Not cheering about this, just said that the Dems continue to try and shove crap into this bill that has zero business being in there.

Lmao! You’re now claiming that Pelosi and Biden are billionaires.

Yeah, how do government workers afford lavish homes, multiple homes $2k refrigerators..etc Private I get it.

There money, their right to do with it as they please,

Ok, so the richest people on the planet that hate Trump and want Biden want to take more from the people, made billions off these pandemic, but don’t want to show their liberal hearts by helping the needy, the very people they preach to us conservatives that we should show the deepest compassion while they do squat? But yeah, their money. This is why people think these people are full of crap.
