yes they appeared to be and were breathlessly reported as fact, without evidence.

but in actual fact were from Iranians posing as Proud Boys.

The emails appeared to come from a far-right pro-Trump group and were meant to "incite unrest", National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe said.

Well, given that blaming the Devil incarnate for your entirely domestic generated problems is a little out of fashion these days, I guess blaming what Americans have been trained to believe are the next best things to the Devil is the way to go.

In neither case do you have to worry about producing credible evidence, just a 'voice from on high' and the people will see even just asking for evidence as outrageous.

But given that it doesn't matter which candidate loses, or if the loser concedes defeat and pleads for the acceptance of the results, there's going to be a lot of Americans who will absolutely believe believe that the election was stolen, and morally certain that allowing that to happen will destroy America, and if they're not heavily armed at the beginning of November, they will be by the end of the month, what is supposed to be the rationale for the 'interference'? Delegitimizing the election that is going to be seen as illegitimate anyway?

Voters, at least Democratic ones, already know about intimidation from Russian influences, so won't be intimidated one bit. Trump's followers on the other hand, have shown a history of being easily influenced by propaganda and fake news; and being totally gullible. It's why they keep saying "We need to make America great again", while not understanding that saying so is an admission that under Trump's four years in office, he hasn't made America great yet.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said Wednesday both Iran and Russia have obtained US voter registration information in an effort to interfere in the election, including Iran posing as the far-right group Proud Boys to send intimidating emails to voters.

I can tell by the lack of liberal comments here that it didnt turn out as you hoped. oops.

Democratic voters in at least four battleground states including Florida and Pennsylvania received threatening emails, falsely purporting to be from the far-right group Proud Boys, that warned “we will come after you” if the recipients didn't vote for President Donald Trump.

Help from the Trump Reelection Campaign HQs East.....real east, as in Moscow....

Or is this just another democrat party scam?

Nope, Trump's buddy, the Russians.

The emails were sent by a group — its identity unknown — that put considerable time and effort into identifying vulnerable internet servers in several countries including Estonia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates which they hijacked to send the emails, said security researcher John Scott-Railton, who examined dozens. Voters in Arizona and Alaska also received them, he said.

Amazing. Democrat party voter rolls were hacked thru Estonia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Or is this just another democrat party scam?
