The veil could become a driving hazard. Try driving with a hoodie on - when ya turn your head, the hoodie doesn't always turn with you and thus block your peripheral vision.

I´d be the last one to defend a Shariah country, but your statement is misleading. The Shiite mullah state only demands that women cover their hair -- they are not asking for the full tent.

In Wahabi Saudi-Arabia, on the other hand, women are not allowed to drive at all (or to travel without permission from their owners, aka hubbies or relatives). Just to put things in perspective!
