Dayton, Ohio, Mayor Nan Whaley, a Democrat, said on Tuesday that Trump's rhetoric "has been painful for many in our community,

Wait a minute. Where is the other half of the story? The Dayton shooter is in fact a Leftist.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/dayton-shooter-warren/

So I get it that Japan Today never misses an opportunity to make the claim that Trump is directly responsible for any and all race related crimes, but the obvious and fully known fact that the Dayton shooter was a committed Leftist and supporter of Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris draws virtually no interest. If the claim is that Trump is responsible for the El Paso shooting the same claim should be made of Warrens culpability for the deaths in Dayton.

Wolfpack: Dayton shooter did write a manifesto matching Trump rhetoric?

Yes? No?

Dayton shooting was it politically motivated?

Yes? No?

Snope is not a leftist biased fact check anymore?

Yes? No?

Are the “walls closing in” too? Same expressions over and over for some time of dramatic effect.

He recognizes that, in a lot of ways, he is playing with fire and walking a tightrope," the source said.

“In addition, a Twitter account that appears to belong to Betts retweeted extreme left-wing and anti-police posts, as well as tweets supporting Antifa, or anti-fascist, protesters.”

the title of the article yesterday was that he had far left ideology. Now it was changed to just interest as guns and shootings.

Changed The NY Times headline too.

Have to laugh at the Trumpers here trying their best to make it look like the Dayton and El Paso shootings were somehow the same....just making stuff up in desperation. One was driven to murder by the hate speech and racist rantings of the President of the US. The other did it on his own.

*A four-page statement posted on 8chan, an online message board often used by extremists, and believed to have been written by the suspect, called the Walmart attack "a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas."*

And who else has used the term "invasion" when talking about immigrants?

Trump said, adding that "people hate the word 'invasion,' but that's what it is."

https://theweek.com/speedreads/829486/trump-just-called-immigration-invasion-did-new-zealand-shooter

Who failed to shut down someone at his rally when he shouted "Shoot Them" when talking about immigrants?

*"Shoot them!"** the supporter in the audience shouted. Some in the crowd clapped and cheered. Trump them joked "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with this stuff," *

Ohio shooter was a member of an Antifa linked “socialist gun club”. That’s not exactly “on his own”. how convenient when someone gets a inspired by the words of the left, it’s totally ignored. Political affiliations and things they like suddenly don’t matter.

The other did it on his own.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Trump responded on Tuesday by referring to a view expressed on a Fox News television show that Obama's comments were unfair because he too faced mass shootings during his presidency and was not criticized by his predecessor, Republican George W. Bush.

George W Bush never condemned Obama for the mass shootings because Obama wasn't using rhetoric that encouraged the shooters to shoot.

So they convinced the racist president to tone it down for a few days. Congrats on that.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

lots of candles and crying and CNN to guide us, just like they did when there were shootings under Obama, but of course now its Trumps fault.

I think Trump wants to ban the assault weapons but he is so cornered and blamed by the left that he becomes defensive, and they are responsible for this. They keep the circle going.

There are solutions. If you want an AR15, you can have it, just have to keep it at the armory at the rifle range managed by the police or national guard. Take it out, its a felony. biometric controls for weapons, stop and frisk to capture unregistered gun. No more open carry of long arm weapons allowed. Controlled sale of ammunition. If you like to play with machine guns, then join the miitary. Hump that thing, clean it, have your liberty secured because its dirty; youll grow to hate it.

Eventually, with enough violence and generations, the 2nd will be changed. Not in my lifetime, but this is how America works. It took this to abolish slavery, civil rights etc. This is the next big dilema for the US.

Why can't you trumpets admit it? We got a megalomaniacal Mussolini on our hands? Many of his rally attendees are paid to be there. ALL the evidence of his hatred and encouraging violence is in plain view - in living color. He said nothing about that pipe bomb idiot last fall, he teargassed the 'invading' migrants last Thanksgiving weekend, he calls them 'animals' and the children he kidnapped are in squalid filthy concentration camps.

Talks like a fascist, uses language like a fascist, acts like a fascist, invents a crisis like a fascist -

Donald Trump is a fascist!

I don't friggin' care what side of the political spectrum he was ón. I care that he had access to guns.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC actually said that these shootings are something that the Democratic side can capitalize on, for the 2020 elections.

Yes, she said that.

This is just the most recent -- and perhaps the most disgusting -- example of how the American left often seeks to politically exploit crises and tragedies.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Trump shouldn't visit either El Paso or Dayton.

He's not the president of the United States.

He's the president of his base. Thus, in the purest sense of the word, he's not even a president.

Play golf (as you were on Sunday after the massacres) and forget about going to El Paso or Dayton for the sake of a photo op to satisfy your own selfish ends.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Democrats in Congress and the party's presidential candidates are in full-blown attack mode against the President, trying to drive a narrative that he is responsible for mass shootings in America.

All 3 murderers have posted the same vitriol that Trump has been saying about Hispanics - HATRED! Ever since he hijacked the WH these white supremacist scum have come out in full force, and dictator Donnie praised the neo-Nazi trash who started the Charlottesville riots. He openly condemned the West Memphis 3, and his landlord record smacks of racism against Blacks.

There's been racism brewing in America for years and years and Trump is stoking the flames!

It's pure, unadulterated far-right BS....

It's not bs. Here's what cnn is saying:

Posts what he says CNN says, with no link to CNN... And I suggest you keep watching CNN instead of the far-right hate channels...

I think your rants are showing that your hatred for Trump is consuming you.

Didn't you say something the other day about drinking "the Koolaide"? You should follow your own advice...

And what do you have to say about this?

*"Shoot them!"**** the supporter in the audience shouted. Some in the crowd clapped and cheered. Trump them joked "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with this stuff," *

I, Ishmael, was one of that crew; my shouts had gone up with the rest; my oath had been welded with theirs; and stronger I shouted, and more did I hammer and clinch my oath, because of the dread in my soul. A wild, mystical, sympathetical feeling was in me; Trump’s quenchless feud seemed mine. With greedy ears I learned the history of that murderous monster the Mexican Immigrant against whom I and all the others had taken our oaths of violence and revenge. "MAGA!" we all shouted.  (Moby Dick, Ch. 41, updated edition)

Unlike at his rowdy rallies when the other venting sweaty Trump delivers his fatuous, ad-lib nostrums with wide-eyed exuberance to his cracker-barrel audiences, Trump's pained slit-eyes as he gave his robotic rendition of the teleprompter text urging? unity clearly showed that his "best words" did not come from his heart. The only possible take-away from Trump's attempt to redo the damage he's done after the back-to-back American carnage is that as POTUS he is way, way out of his depth.

You posted an opinion piece from a Repub contributor - this is his opinion - it s not news....

Scott Jennings, a CNN contributor, is a former special assistant to President George W. Bush and a former campaign adviser to US Sen. Mitch McConnell. He is a partner at RunSwitch Public Relations in Louisville, Kentucky. Follow him on Twitter @ScottJenningsKY. The opinions expressed in this commentary are his own. View more opinion articles on CNN.

And no reply to the question;

And what do you have to say about this?

**"Shoot them!"**** the supporter in the audience shouted. Some in the crowd clapped and cheered. Trump them joked "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with this stuff," **

*you posted an opinion piece from a Repub contributor - this is his opinion - it s not news....*

His opinion is that blaming Trump for the shootings is bad. You are free to agree or dis agree. But this is news reported by cnn that he cited to expound his opinion:

Its not news - its opinion - if it's news, why isn't it posted anywhere in CNN's news section? So I guess when Juan Williams says that the President is a racist on Fox News, that's Fox's view too?

However, the narrative took a hit when CNN reported Monday night that a social media account that appears to have belonged to the Dayton shooter contained "extreme left-wing and anti-police posts, as well as tweets supporting Antifa, or anti-fascist, protesters." It also featured a post saying, 'Millenials [sic] have a message for the Joe Biden generation: hurry up and die.'" The account retweeted messages that were in support of Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, Democratic presidential candidates.

That's a cnn report, not an opinion.

See above...

And what do you have to say about this?

**"Shoot them!" the supporter in the audience shouted. Some in the crowd clapped and cheered. Trump them joked "That's only in the Panhandle you can get away with this stuff,"

What I said earlier: I think your hatred for Trump is consuming you and clouding your judgment. You can't even grasp a cnn article because of the pathology.

I didn't say "Shoot Them" - a Trump supporter did. And Trump made a joke of it. And then a Trump supporter shot and murdered over 20 people. Talk about clouding ones judgment...

3 ( +5 / -2 )

This was obviously directed at Trump, who hasn't done any of these things, but has been telling it like it is.

Really? Show where the name "Trump" is mentioned anywhere in this statement. We'll be waiting...

Obama's too much of a coward to mention Trump by name.

Hah, or in other words, no mention of Trump - that's just your opinion...more failure...

By the way Obama's mother was white. How does this make him the first black president? Men take precedence over women? Appearance takes precedence over DNA?

Why is it that anytime Trumpers bring up President Obama, they have to bring up his background and race?

Oh yea, we know why....

Nah, just when he's inaccurately referred to as "the first black U.S. president." So you can't answer the question either, I see.

Yet every time your mention Obama you mention race...just like David Duke does....

4 ( +6 / -2 )

But then I would ask you to show me anywhere in Trump's speeches where he said to anybody, go out and shoot people.

Trump's speeches are full of violent rhetoric. It's not hard to see the correlation between them and some crazed person being inspired to go out and create havoc. Cesar Sayoc, who was jailed only the other day, is one example.

And it's not just migrants or people of color - it's anyone who doesn't agree with him

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/back-trump-comments-perceived-encouraging-violence/story?id=48415766

https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/politics/a24431408/how-trump-encourages-violence/

That's what dictators do - demonize a section of society and rile up their base. History teaches us what happens next.

Its not news - its opinion - if it's news, why isn't it posted anywhere in CNN's news section?

So a cnn contributor is making bold-faced lie about cnn on a cnn website, and somehow the senior editor at cnn gave it the green light? yeah okay.

Okay - here's what Fox News think of Trump;

He's a racist...(Juan Williams)

He's a crook....(Andrew Napolitano)

He's a liar.... (Neil Cavuto).....

He's a xenophobe....(Shep Smith).....

Man, Fox News really hates Trump....

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters." . . . Donald Trump

Trump's casual references to violence and talking about beating up protesters himself who come to his rallies and offering to pay the legal fees for his supporters who do beat up anti-Trump protesters illustrates what a baboon Trump truly is.

Trump really has no business going to El Paso or Dayton until he issues an apology first for all the red meat he tosses out at his rallies. It honestly looks like he's going because he's sure his TV ratings will go through the roof.

As for Obama, I'm sure Obama was directing his comments at Trump. Obama must be in a state of shock that we have a man-child like Trump steering the ship.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

They are not. They are, however, full of hope.

You clearly don't watch the news, or read the links posted. Trump's violent rhetoric is there, forever, for everyone to see.

Is hope about advocating violence to your opponents? Is hope about encouraging racism towards sections of society?

Is this the American dream?

Isn't it odd how Trumpists deny what their supreme leader says and does. They pretend that it doesn't have consequences.

Trump is the typical cowardly bully who eggs on others to engage in violence but won't own up to his behavior. We all knew the type at school, at play, college or in the workplace.

And yet, they always have their followers.

Let's see if the odious failed human being can keep the violent squealings toned down for a few days.

Most importantly, let's see if gun controls can be brought in to have mandatory checks on every applicant. And get rid of assault rifles and all the heavy artillery, at the very least.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

He's not the president of the United States.

Earth to stormcrow - Donald Trump is the president of the United States. Get used to it.

He may be President for a few more months but he's never acted Presidential....

Trump's speech tomorrow at El Paso....

"It is very sad that today I have to visit here in Dallas, er.. I mean Austin...er....I mean El Paso..."

"No person or child deserves to be shot, and that includes the person I said I could shoot on 5th Ave..."

"One of my supporters said at a recent rally, "Shoot Them" when talking about immigrants. I want to say that i kind'a, maybe, sometimes, don't agree with that"....

"And so I'd like to leave you with one thought today; I'm a stable genius"....

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump has spent a large part of the summer engaged in attacks on four minority congresswomen and an African-American lawmaker from Baltimore. He has long railed against illegal immigrants, characterizing a surge of asylum seekers from Central America as an "invasion."

.....That is a departure for Trump, who usually fights back against any criticism, going on Twitter or using the stage at frequent rallies to issue verbal tirades and employ caustic language against his rivals.

Democrats, and Hillary worshippers, repeatedly attack Trump, and then cry foul when Trump counter-punches his attackers. That show just never gets old.

No, they worship him for being the hate-monger he is. Fox news is not interested in politics, society or whatever. Their only motivation is getting sensationnal stuff to show. They love conflicts and those that fuel them. They"d hate a leader like Gandhi or Nelson Mandela, not for personal reasons, but for the lost of opportunities for their shows.

How to defeat the language and ideology of hate?

After taking office in 2017, President Trump even cut the funds for anti-racist organisations and far-right extremism prevention programmes. Terrorism is a means, not an end. Its strategy is based on generating attention, inflaming tensions and escalating conflicts. Whether Isis suicide bombings or white supremacist shootings, the shared goal of such acts is usually to spark a war of races, religions or cultures.

Well, the mainstream media have certainly not reigned in their attacks.... on CNN it continues to be 100% anti-Trump propaganda, 100% of the time.

If "hate speech" is such horrible thing, clearly CNN should be shut down. However, I am not not seeing any demands for that.

So it seems the definition is "hate speech = speech that the globalist establishment hates".

The only people who mention it seem to be Trump supporters.

Why? You had a lot of liberals that loved and defended Obama, at least on FNC you do have opposing points of view, something you would never see on other networks.

NO ONE worries about CNN, it’s just funny to watch how hard they try. Zucker took a once respected and informative network and turned it into an activist trash network.

Super Lib:

Nope. I am not American, so I am watching this theater from the outside. While "Fox" was generally critically Obama, I have never seen anything near the levelof sheer deranged propaganda that I get from CNN everyday. (Fwiw, I get that idiot channel on the cable package, so I see their "news" every morning.) There is simply no comparison. Disclaimer: I am not a fan of the airbrushed newbabes on "Fox" either. But CNN is really a different level of hysteria.

Oh really? Then where do you get your talking points from? NYT, BBC, Huffpost, Guardian, ABC, NBC, Salon, Vice, Buzzfeed, Politico? I am familiar with those... fundamentally CNN in fine clothes. It is just that CNN is both the most blatant and the most widespread (unavoidable for captive audiences in some places...), so it is natural to mention it.

If there is some other news source that I should watch to see where you get your ideas from, please tell. I am curious.
